Who doesn't love a good poop emoji?!Vol 1 covers addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, with some fractions included. We all need good fundamentals before we can enjoy the next level of ideas and equations. This book is to be used alongside other math learning, not to replace it. Kids should listen to their teachers. This book gives them more chances to practise what they're already learning. How do you get good at playing the guitar or dancing or sports? You have to practise your skills in order to improve. So if you want to get better at math and make it something you can enjoy, how are you going to get better? You got it.We need to practise our math if we want it to be something we can do and enjoy over our lifetime. So what's going to make practising math seem like a good idea for kids?We think that by making things more fun and relatable, kids might actually want to practise more and more, especially if we can show how math really is useful in daily life, outside of the classroom. We're also thinking that an option to get out the old pencils and paper means this book can be used in many situations and brings things back to basics, no batteries required.Mazmatics, for home play, not homework.

All Math Words Dictionary
All Math Words Dictionary is designed for students of algebra, geometry and calculus. It is designed using the four 'C's of math writing: Concise: Definitions are compact, yet understandable.Complete: All words and phrases of interest to targeted students are included, plus a few just beyond the scope of the target classes.Correct: The definitions have been thoroughly reviewed for mathematical and literary correctness.Comprehensible: The definitions are written to be understood by targeted students. Abundant illustrations aid in understanding. One of the difficulties many students experience in learning math skills has to do with the fact that an entire language, both spoken and written, has grown up around math. Students that acquire that language are successful in math studies. Students that do not acquire that language have serious problems with mathematics. This dictionary is designed to aid in the acquisition of the language of math. This dictionary has: over 3000 entriesmore than 140 notations definedin excess of 790 illustrationsIPA pronunciation guidegreater than 1400 formulas, equations, definitions, examples, identities and expressions. As a math teacher, David E. McAdams, noted that many students did not understand even simple math statements, such as "This equation is determinate." Those students who had not acquired a basic math vocabulary were left behind, becoming frustrated and mentally dropping out of class. Mr. McAdams quickly added vocabulary exercises to his classroom teaching, but found that there were no adequate resources for vocabulary acquisition. All of the online math dictionaries and encyclopedias were either woefully incomplete, or written at a college graduate level. The author began by creating a vocabulary resource for his students, using as a guide the vocabulary actually used in the textbooks the students were using. The list of words swiftly grew, and the task of preparing these resources quickly grew beyond what a full-time teacher could accomplish with all the other activities important to teaching.Mr. McAdams was amazed at the enormous size of the math vocabulary that students must gain to be fluent in math. He took the development of this important resource seriously, and after devoting nine years to its development, has created All Math Words Dictionary, 3rd edition. The list of words and phrases to be defined was collected from various textbooks in use in the United States and United Kingdom. Each of these words was carefully researched to find all of the ways the word was used in math classes. The definitions were carefully crafted and critically explored to meet the goals of concise, complete, correct and comprehensible. Usefulness of these definitions for non-native English speakers was considered and pronunciation was developed using the IPA. Knowing that a picture sometimes is worth a thousand words, Mr. McAdams added abundant illustrations to assist students in placing words in a visual context. The result of this extensive effort is All Math Words Dictionary, an important tool for math teachers.Color classroom edition - with color illustrations aiding in the interpretation of diagrams. The color illustrations speed learning because the most important item is drawn in red, the second most important is blue.Large print edition - typeset in 16 point Tiresias LP font for visually impaired students.Dyslexics' edition - typeset in OpenDyslexic font for dyslexic students.Home edition - typeset in 10 point Times New Roman for home use.

Consequence Relations
The publication of Rasiowa and Sikorski's The Mathematics of Metamathematics (1970), Rasiowa's An Algebraic Approach to Non-Classical Logics (1974), and W籀jcicki's Theory of Logical Calculi (1988) created a niche in the field of mathematical and philosophical logic. This in-depth study of the concept of a consequence relation, culminating in the concept of a Lindenbaum-Tarski algebra, fills this niche. Citkin and Muravitsky consider the problem of obtaining confirmation that a statement is a consequence of a set of statements as prerequisites, on the one hand, and the problem of demonstrating that such confirmation does not exist in the structure under consideration, on the other hand. For the second part of this problem, the concept of the Lindenbaum-Tarski algebra plays a key role, which becomes even more important when the considered consequence relation is placed in the context of decidability. This role is traced in the book for various formal objective languages. The work also includes helpful exercises to aid the reader's assimilation of the book's material. Intended for advanced undergraduate and graduate students in mathematics and philosophy, this book can be used to teach special courses in logic with an emphasis on algebraic methods, for self-study, and also as a reference work.

That’s Maths III
This is the third collection under the rubric ''That's Maths''. The first volume, ''That's Maths: The Mathematical Magic in Everyday Life'', was published by Gill Books in 2016. The second, ''That's Maths II: A Ton of Wonders'', was published for Logic Press in 2020. Both volumes were very favourably reviewed. This collection includes essays on a wide range of topics in both pure and applied mathematics. Chapters such as one on the beautiful theory of complex variables, illustrate the ''elegant abstraction'' mentioned in the subtitle, while chapters on mathematics in mechanics, astronomy, networks, freak waves and music demonstrate its ''eclectic applications''. The book is suitable for everyone with an interest in mathematics, whether or not they have studied the subject beyond secondary school level. Some chapters are purely expository; others go deeper into their subjects and are at a more advanced mathematical level. The first three quarters of the book (48 chapters) require no advanced knowledge. The final quarter (16 chapters, each marked by a star) involve some undergraduate maths. These should give readers a flavour of some more advanced mathematics. The chapters in this book are all short, generally about four pages. They can be read in sequence, with constantly changing themes, or in random order. The book should be appreciated by anyone with an interest in mathematics and science. In particular, teachers of these subjects, at both school and university level, should find a cornucopia of material to add a sparkle to their classes. Many of the essays in this collection have appeared in the regular column ''That's Maths'' in The Irish Times or on Peter Lynch's mathematical blog, thatsmaths.com. All have been fully revised for this book.
