As Romilly goes deeper into the tale, the uncommon seems at issues of greed, betrayal, and what happens whilst you get wealthy. Le Queux's ability as a writer shines via as he builds anxiety, maintaining reader's eager to show the pages to discover what passed off to the misplaced million. She is excited and curious and therefore, walks around the neighbourhood and the park are frequent. One day during their walks, they meet a friendly stray dog that seems to enjoy their company. They also enjoy his company while they sightsee and have picnics. One day they witness their animal friend being frightened by a dog catcher, this made them decide to take their stray dog friend back with them and give him a permanent home.
