My Grandson's Seneca Language Book
This is a personal project intended for my two-year old grandson, Hudson. It is not a product of any official Seneca Nation Language Program nor is it part of an organized component of any curriculum for the Seneca Language. It is simply words that my grandson experiences in his daily life in our family. This is a book that has an audio CD and DVD for the 127 words in the book. Each word is repeated 3 times in Seneca and English consecutively before proceeding to the next word on the CD and DVD. The index lists the page for each Seneca word and its English meaning. The achievements of Pānini and the Indian grammarians, beginning nearly 2500 years ago, have never been fully appreciated by Western scholars--partly because of the great technical difficulties presented by such an inquiry, and partly because relevant tutorial articles have been confined to obscure and inaccessible publications.This book makes available to linguists and Sanskritists a collection of the most important articles on the Sanskrit grammarians, and provides a connected historical outline of their activities.
