'Emergence' is the second book of collaboration between the Artist Nigel Moores and Poet Gordon Ellis, the first being 'A Common Ground'. The paintings do not illustrate the poems, nor are the poems about the paintings, but arise from a deep engagement with the milieu from which the painting emerge. Together, they create a space for the viewer/reader to enter and become an active participant.
The Gothic Peckinpah
This book argues for the importance of Gothic in understanding one of the key elements within the films of Sam Peckinpah (1925-1984). Although occasionally noted in the past, the Gothic has been generally overlooked when most critics consider the work of Sam Peckinpah with the exception of the Freudian based Crucified Heroes (1979) by Terence Butler. This work not only examines the films made after that date, especially the often dismissed The Osterman Weekend (1983) and the two music videos he made for Julian Lennon, but also places the director within the context of the developing work on Gothic that has since appeared.Peckinpah has been identified as the director of one undisputed masterpiece, The Wild Bunch (1969). By focussing on the key role Gothic plays in most of the director's work, this book offers a way to see Peckinpah beyond The Wild Bunch and the Western, viewing him as a director who had the potential of evolving further, had circumstances permitted, to continue his critique of American life within the developing lens of the Gothic.

The Trombone Quartet Recital Book
This is a book of arrangements, not transcriptions. Modifications have been made in voice leading (as slight as possible), key (in some cases), and register. Additionally, small liberties have been taken with dynamics, phrasing, and rhythm. In the case of the Brahms Canons, many originally had no tempo markings, no phrasing, and few dynamic indications (in some cases, there were no dynamics at all). I have gone through these pieces and added most of the dynamics, phrasings, and metronome marks present. I have added to Brahms' markings and removed none. As this is not intended to be an academic score, none of these alterations have been indicated or differentiated from the composers' markings.

My acquaintance with photography started in 1997. Besides the following expositions and experiments I graduated as a press photographer in Debrecen, Hungary in the late 90's. Afterwards I was awarded with several prizes (since 2000) with the help of the Photo Art Group, Szentes, Hungary. At the beginning of the new millennium, I began to experiment with the photogram technique. The first exhibition of my pictures made with this technique took place in 2003, and it was in 2006 that I succeeded in winning a tender. I had a chance to unify photography and vision made by drawing in these pictures.

Media Literacy, Media Education and Democracy in Central and Eastern Europe
This book explores the state of media literacy and media education in several Central and Eastern European countries. The main argument centers around the connection between media literacy and media education on the one hand, and liberal democratic values on the other. Data collected through a European Union funded project shows that diversity is the key word when it comes to how countries prioritize media literacy and integrate media education into school curricula. Although national governments have been fairly active in reforming the education system to include media education, civil society is the most impactful actor through the implementation of various projects linking media literacy with democratic values.

We are the Aspen Song Kids from Taos Pueblo, a beautiful place in Northern New Mexico. Our mission is to preserve our culture, our heritage, our tradition, and our language. We do that through our art. We give our thanks to our elders and our ancestors. Our grandparents and great-grandparents were artists. If it were not for their hard work, we would not be here today. We carry on their legacy. We give thanks to the artists who came before. We get our name, Aspen Song Kids, from our great-great grandfather whose name was Aspen Song. We didn't know him in person as he had passed away before we were born, yet, we honor him with our name. The paintings and stories in this book were created by us, the Aspen Song Kids. Everyday, after school and on the weekends, we walk from the day school to the Pueblo village where we practice our art and practice speaking Tiwa, our native language. We love learning from the elders about the old ways so we may carry on the knowledge to our children and grandchildren in the years to come.
