Chavanian Psychology
Chavanian Psychology introduces a groundbreaking field-based model of the human mind - a paradigm that transcends traditional theories rooted in behavior, cognition, or trauma. In this pioneering work, Sandeep J. Chavan redefines the mind not as a static structure or product of the brain, but as a dynamic field of awareness shaped by ripples of emotion, thought, intention, and consequence. This shift from structure to field marks a decisive break from conventional psychology and opens a new horizon for understanding consciousness, healing, and human evolution.Rather than treating consciousness as a neurological byproduct, Chavan frames it as an energetic phenomenon governed by coherence, alignment, and resonance. In this model, every emotion becomes a ripple; every decision a consequence pattern; every disturbance a misalignment seeking correction; and every moment of clarity a return to stillness - the field's natural state. The mind is no longer fragmented into cognition, memory, and behavior, but understood as a living continuum of awareness, constantly shaped by the quality of its ripples.Across four parts, the book explores ripple dynamics, emotional amplitude and frequency, and awareness as the stabilizing intelligence of the field. It introduces the Law of Consequence (LOC) as a universal regulator, examines misalignment and pathways to healing, and offers a psychology of relationships, empathy, and communication rooted in coherence. It traces the mind's evolution from instinct-driven reactions to field-based intelligence, situating this transformation within the rising challenge of artificial intelligence and the urgent need for human coherence. Finally, it envisions humanity as conscious participants in a coherent field, capable of living with clarity, resilience, and alignment.Practical tools make this philosophy usable in everyday life. The Emotional Ripple Map helps readers visualize inner patterns. The Psychological Law of Coherence (P-LOC) provides a framework for restoring balance when emotions spiral. Alignment exercises and field-based mindfulness methods allow individuals to experience these concepts directly. Through guided reflection and awareness training, readers learn to navigate turbulence, resolve repeating patterns, and realign their field with clarity and resilience.Chavanian Psychology is more than a theoretical contribution - it is a usable model for modern life. It addresses questions traditional psychology often leaves unresolved: Why do emotions repeat? Why does clarity vanish under stress? Why do relationships collapse even when intentions are good? How does healing truly occur? Why does the mind feel fragmented in a hypercomplex world? The answers emerge from the field: coherence, not complexity, defines a healthy mind. Healing is not forgetting - it is resonating differently. Awareness is not passive - it is the mind's real intelligence. And evolution is not merely biological - it is the field remembering itself. With clarity and depth, this book marks a definitive shift in how we understand consciousness, emotion, behavior, and inner balance. It is an essential guide for thinkers, seekers, students, psychologists, educators, leaders, and anyone committed to living with alignment and awareness. By reframing the mind as a field of ripples, Chavan offers a vision of psychological practice that is participatory, resilient, and profoundly human - a philosophy of coherence for the 21st century and beyond.

How do we even talk about Palestine and Israel
The world changed on 7th October 2023 when Hamas made incursions into Israeli territory, resulting in 1200 deaths and 251 hostages. The response by Israel's government and military has since brought terrible destruction to Gaza, killing over 60,000 people, with 2.3 million forced from their homes. How have we allowed it to happen? What can we say?One group of twelve child psychiatrists, psychologists and psychotherapists - with children's welfare much in mind - met fortnightly to discuss the insurmountable difficulties of the Palestine-Israel conflict and their feelings about the horror streaming daily on their media. Can such matters be discussed in a group? Can minds be changed? Deep disagreement and pain - yet nothing near the pain experienced in Gaza. Silence can't be the response. Some of the collection's contributors come from Palestinian or Jewish heritage, others from different but divided, conflicted backgrounds. Their history goes back to the Balfour Declaration and to the Holocaust. A mother who lived through Kristallnacht; a father from Jaffa with shrapnel head injuries during the Nakba. The group shares memories, reflections, essays and poems in a courageous effort to urge us all towards sense, empathy and a more complex understanding of the catastrophe before our very eyes.
Musings from a Kintsukouried Mind
Translated from Japanese, the word kintsukuroi means "to repair with gold." Kintsukuroi is the art of repairing pottery with gold or silver lacquer and understanding that the piece is more beautiful for having been broken. Many people don't recognize that often mental collapse and crisis are the initial stages of a transformational process. Too often people going through mental crisis and spiritual transformation are not well served by the mental health industry. In addition, the process is often not recognized as potentially valuable. The opportunity of growth and greater value as an outcome of such a process is dismissed and ignored. This often causes greater difficulty to the person whose mind has "broken" or "fractured" into pieces in the initial stages of a kintsukuroi-type process.Penni Kolpin describes elements of her journey when she endured a "severe stress breakdown" many years ago. She and presents tools and concepts that helped her through that journey and other concepts that would have helped had she known of them at the time. Penni's musings address concepts including "ego collapse," Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey, spiritual emergency and awakening, quantum, and the relationship between mysticism and what often is named "psychosis."

The first section of What's Normal? presents a wide-ranging collection of essays and articles written by renowned clinicians who address clinical, ethical, and social issues related to mental illness and disorders. The second section uses fiction, poetry, and drama to portray mental and behavioral abnormalities, sometimes from "inside" the perspective of the deviant and sometimes from the experiences of family, friends, and other engaged observers. Excerpts that examine the treatment of mental health, intelligence, and sexual conduct are cited from such literary works as Equus, Of Mice and Men, Like Water for Chocolate, and Sula. Human Nature And Conduct An Introduction To Social Psychology
Human nature and conduct: An introduction to social psychology is a philosophical work that examines the connections between human behavior, moral values, and social environments. The book argues that traditional moral systems often misinterpret human nature, creating a gap between moral ideals and actual behavior. The author presents the idea that habit forms the foundation of conduct, serving as the link between individual impulses and intelligence. The opening discussion challenges long-held views that see human nature as inherently flawed or dangerous, proposing instead that morality should emerge from an understanding of how people genuinely act within their environments. The author explores how habits are shaped through interactions with social conditions, asserting that morality must be practical, empirical, and responsive to changing circumstances. The work encourages readers to look beyond rigid moral codes and instead adopt a flexible, evidence-based approach to understanding ethical behavior. This approach aims to harmonize moral principles with the realities of personal development and social cooperation.
Sleep And Its Derangements
Sleep and its derangements examines the physiological and pathological aspects of sleep as understood through the lens of medical science. It offers a comprehensive inquiry into the biological necessity of sleep, arguing that mental and physical health rely on it for restorative balance. The book contends that sleep allows the brain to replenish what it loses during periods of activity, suggesting that extended wakefulness exhausts cerebral resources essential for proper functioning. In the opening chapters, the argument centers on sleep as a state not of complete inactivity, but of partial suspension where unconscious mental processes continue in altered form. This concept, termed unconscious cerebration, proposes that thought may persist without conscious awareness, albeit with diminished coherence. The text introduces this idea to pave the way for more detailed discussions of sleep disorders, including insomnia, nightmares, sleepwalking, and the broader neurological consequences of disrupted rest. With references to both physiological observation and clinical insight, the work presents sleep as a complex, semi-conscious state vital to human cognition and physical vitality.
