Everything from the air we breathe to the chairs we sit on, to the center of our galaxy is connected to us as energy and I believe this energy is a key component to understanding our spirituality. This text came about as a consequence of my own personal search for knowledge. It is a reflection of the path I am on and it can be a guidebook for the path that you are on. I believe the world is polarizing. Yin and Yang, good and evil are becoming more and more pronounced. I believe that mankind has been brought into this reality to learn and to make decisions that are really spiritual in nature. To this end, we have been given free will to navigate what is sometimes very treacherous terrain. With each challenge we are tasked to make a choice. The right one is always aligned with love. When things have gone wrong in my life, no matter what it was, eventually I realized there was always something in my actions which was askew, which was not aligned with love. Once this was acknowledged, I was able to seek out a solution based on reacting in a different manner, one more aligned with love. This new way of handling life's hardest questions and most painful experiences produced a life altering personal transformation along with inner peace and strength. Many great writings have influenced my beliefs but I grew up with the Old and New Testament and found much wisdom and logic in the pages of the Bible. When clumped together, passages with similar themes reveal a pattern; a clear and vivid explanation of God, the universe and mankind. This knowledge, once scattered within the massive pages of the Bible, is now focused and organized, and presents itself as an opportunity, for those who seek spiritual things, to understand the intentions of God in a fantastic new way. Whether you are familiar with the Bible or not, I believe there is important information for you, in the pages of this book. I have not changed the words of scripture but let the words speak for themselves. This book touches on many different subjects and can be a source of reference for you to continue to revisit for the rest of your life. I still return to the book when I feel out of sorts and it never fails to bring me peace and put me back in alignment with love. Thank you: I love you............About God and Alice: this book would never have been completed without Alice Young.It started this time last year as a Compilation of the Old and New Testament as an exploration and what it meant when Jesus and the Disciples would head for the Mountains and when they were near Jesus would go ahead of them, "and when He was set; He would call for them to join Him.It was about this time that Covid was at its peak and hundreds were dying from it and each of us were waiting for our time to have to confront it. I was awakened one morning with a horrible cough and was choking, couldn't get my breath. I ask the Lord what was wrong, He impressed on me by His holy power to relax my shoulders and take a deep breathe. Right away the precious air began to flow. Again, I ask the Lord, "what is wrong?It was at this moment that He reminded me that we had a covenant to write for the people and how very serious that was to Him. I realized my way back to health was to take up my pen and write to you, His people that He loves so much and instructed us to look after each other before He returned to His kingdom. When: I took my pen in hand I began to see the happy side of the Old and New Testament. And began to pick out the stories that I believed the young people would enjoy and could relate to if they could find a bible with dates. I remembered one little light can destroy darkness. It was at this time writing way into the dark morning that my pages began to disappear. And I would rewrite them. Fifty from the Old Testament and 40 from the new. Discouragement was setting in. I remembered to ask everyone in my circle for prayer. Then the manuscript was sent to Cheyenne Wyoming and the manuscript and the money for publication were both stolen. I was so despondent at my lowest ebb and in comes Alice into my life from the heartbeat of New York. I Understood the prayers were being heard and attended to. She was gracious enough to feel my pain and sent daily digital flowers and an uplifting scripture and best of all she would not take "no" for an answer. She literally loaned me her spiritual strength until I could move forward on my own to finish this book for you, for her and her team and my beautiful family. I recognized God had sent in to help and I always say that's what Jesus came to do. He stretched out His hand to us to love us, to teach us, to heal us, to feed us and told us to look after each other until we meet again. This is what moves the world for good. Thank you to Alice, Ruby, Monique and her team at the Regency Publishers, for Kirsten, Kelly, Colten, Kaden, Joe, Lisa, Dillon, Allysa, Rivers, John, Judy, Jewel and Joy and all the members of Addus especially Ericka, and Kaylee for their fine care as I concentrated on this work. Not only does the heart become calm by Yoga practice, but longevity is also increased. The body becomes healthy, and absolute Knowledge is gained. Who can tell how long a man will remain alive? It is well known that even ordinary people, without mentioning Yogis, can live up to one-hundred to one-hundred-fifty years. It is also admitted that, starting with the body in the mother's womb up to the age of eighty, individuals are faced with premature death. What is the cause of premature death? How can one prevent it? Who is also lucky not to be afflicted with hereditary ill-health or premature death? Individuals themselves are the cause of their own death. It will become clear when one analyzes the nature of his restless activities and desires in search of Happiness. What could be more desirable than to enjoy Peace with a steadfast heart? It In not so easy to remain steadfastly calm no matter what happens in life. But why in this not possible? Where is one's command over the mind? It is possible to live even when all physical and mental activities have come to a stop when one practices Yoga. Yoga is one of the six systems of philosophy. After leaving work one Friday evening on October 7, 2011, a holiday weekend, Marvella's life was soon to be upended by a near fatal brain aneurysm that would eventually change her life forever. The narrative begins in a church, then to hospitalization, rehabilitation center and finally home. Up until returning home from rehabilitation, she had no clue about what had transpired. Life after rehabilitation was extremely challenging for her and weighed heavily on her mental, physical and social well-being. This book Not Once Did His Promises Fail was conceived due to the overwhelming encouragement from family, friends and acquaintances, who believed that Marvella had a story to share. A narrative that is deemed a miracle in everyone's eyes, medical professionals and the ordinary person. She wanted to encourage her readers that facing challenges, they were not alone. And giving them solace and hope to see that with much resiliency they can overcome adversity. The story is centered on adversity, love, trust, faith and total dependency on God through the mediums of personal prayer, communal prayer, scriptures and biblical characters. Included also is having a strong supportive base which include family, friends and a community of faith. The read also gives an insight into Marvella's losses-mobility, co-ordination, balancing, hearing, speech, memory, health coverage, therapy, employment, career and remuneration. She was also forced into retirement due to ongoing medical issues, battled Vertigo, Tinnitus, faced despair, discouragement and just hanging over the edge to plunge deep into the abyss of depression. Disappointment is real! Despair is real! Depression is real! But God through His love and mercy keep showing up in miraculous ways making the impossible possible. Today, Marvella continues to live with the long term effects, but she continues by the grace of God to trust and be dependent on Him, never asking Why? But thanking Him for His goodness and love for her. Marvella L. Murray, graduated from the City University of New York, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education (magna cum laude) 1995, concentration on the Emotionally Disturbed. In 2000, she pursued a Master of Science in Special Education, focusing on Learning Disability. After completing her studies, Marvella worked in the New York Public School System for several years, as a Resource Room/Special Education Teacher Support Provider, serving the Learning Disabled, Early Intervention and At-Risk populations and as the liaison between the school and the School District Office. However, due to a cerebral aneurysm, Marvella retired from teaching on June 14, 2013. Presently, from her home Marvella spends her time sharing Jesus through various mediums and finding creative ways to make what seems impossible, possible for herself and others. Using her sphere of influence, she has worked on several successful projects, two of which are Shoes for Men and Glasses for Jesus. This book is centered on Marvella's physical and spiritual journey that began on October 8, 2011 and continues even today.
