Stories of Shiva's Saints
Hampeya Harihara lived between the late twelfth and early thirteenth centuries in Hampe (a.k.a. Hampi) and wrote in Kannada, a language of the south-Indian Dravidian family. With the aim of reaching large segments of the population, Harihara set out to develop a new style of narrative literature in Kannada, one that introduced straightforward plotting, quotidian characters, moderate use of literary ornamentation, simple prosody, and highly emotional expressivity. The work he composed in this style, the Shivasharanara Ragalegalu ("Stories of Shiva's Saints Written in the Ragale Meter") inaugurated a new era in Kannada literature. As the first English translation of eighteen stories from this work, this book serves as an invitation to contemporary readers to enjoy and appreciate a text that is rich with religious fervor, antinomian social agendas, raucous characters, and gripping drama-but also delicate poetry and significant historical importance. Stories of Shiva's Saints reveals Harihara's inclusive and flexible religious and social vision, according to which Shiva devotees from different backgrounds can share devotional practices and values while maintaining communal and personal commitments of different kinds. Harihara's work is of major historical significance as the first text to narrate the lives of important religious figures and vachana poets of the time, such as Allama Prabhu and Akka, and in particular Basava, the most well-known leader of the nascent tradition today identified with the Virashaivas/Lingayats.

Sacred Numbers of Hinduism
The book "Sacred Numbers of Hinduism: Exploring Their Mysticism and Symbolism" is unique and one of a kind. In this book, the author, Jayaram V, uses his mystical and intuitive knowledge to explore the connections between numbers and several natural and divine phenomena, and how the numbers symbolize various gods and goddesses and their respective roles, status, and functions in God's creation. This well-researched book examines the deeply hidden connections between numbers and truths of the mind and body, the world, the rituals people practice, the gods they worship, and the mysteries that baffle us and defy our intellect. While presenting their symbolic significance in Hinduism, he also briefly discusses the mystic symbolism of numbers that were prevalent in various ancient cultures, suggesting that the concept was not peculiar to Hinduism but was a common theme of the ancient mystic world and philosophical speculation. Using his insightful and intuitive analysis, Jayaram V uncovers the hidden symbolism behind numbers from zero to ten, demonstrating their association with important beliefs and practices of Hinduism and providing the readers with a comprehensive understanding of how numbers were used in ancient India to envision a grand view of Hindu cosmology from a numerical perspective. The book consists of fourteen chapters, excluding the preface and epilogue. The introduction explains how ancient Indians envisioned numbers hidden in the structure and function of creation and the order of divinities who uphold it. The second chapter addresses the concept of zero, its universal symbolism of emptiness, nothingness, and immeasurability, and its significance in Hinduism as a symbol of infinity and the Nirguna Brahman, the Unmanifested Brahman. Chapters three to eleven explore the multiple meanings of numbers from one to nine, their numerical forms according to gender and case, their uniqueness and symbolism, and what they represent in Hindu cosmology, God's manifestations, the Hindu pantheon, and various other aspects of creation. Chapter Twelve presents the symbolic significance of the number ten, its historical development in the decimal system, and its religious and spiritual symbolism. The next chapter provides information on numbers higher than ten, their symbolic meanings, and associations with various concepts and divinities. The final chapter discusses the numbers in Hindu philosophy. This book aims to draw the readers' attention to the fact that numbers are hidden and at work in various objects, structures, and functions of our existence, including our bodies and the world or universe in which we live. It encourages them to explore the subject further and understand the hidden connections and symbolism associated with numbers.

Unlocking The Secrets Of Hanuman Chalisa A Verse-by-verse Interpretation
The Hanuman Chalisa is much more than just a collection of forty -odd verses. Events from the Itihasa and Purana have been wrapped around a core of philosophy to create these magical lines. Along with a verse-by-verse meaning in simple English, this book tries to establish a pattern in the arrangement of the text. It takes into account the viewpoints of both the Valmiki Ramayan and the Ramcharitmanas and tries to analyse the verses of the Chalisa in the background of the Vedas, Puranas, different versions of the Ramayana and other books authored by Tulasi Das. Very few commentaries or even expanded translations exist on the Hanuman Chalisa. This book is a small effort to fill the gap.
Echoes of Gita
This manuscript offers the author's interpretation of the Bhagavad Gita. To maintain the authenticity, the Author handpicked some of the verses from each of the chapters and summarised the overall concept of the remaining verses. He aimed to highlight the key lessons and how these teachings can play a significant role in transforming people's conduct and lifestyle.

Sufism in Late Mamlūk Cairo
This book examines the life and thought of Ibn Mughayzil (fl. 895/1490), a Shādhilī Sufi of late Mamlūk Cairo. It offers a portrait of the Sufi as an aspiring Shādhilī master and talented author whose two known writings reflect major themes of Mamlūk-era Sufism, such as the desire to unite the "exoteric" sciences (ʿilm al-ẓāhir) and the "esoteric" science (ʿilm al-bāṭin) or Sufism. At the same time, his works are distinguished by a number of features. Most notable is his treatment of the waking vision of Prophet Muḥammad after death, an experience that many Sufis claimed to have underwent. The study suggests that Ibn Mughayzil was the first author to produce a systematic and comprehensive examination of the topic and argues that he makes an important contribution by defending its authenticity and orthodoxy. Furthermore, his engagement with other key issues of his time, such as God's oneness and religious diversity, reveal that while often driven by the aim of defending Sufis from accusations of error, he was a creative synthesizer, drawing from a wide range of Sufi and other sources to develop and demonstrate his positions. Study of Ibn Mughayzil sheds light on the nature and quality of Mamlūk Sufi literature as well as the reception of earlier ideas, such as those of Ibn ʿArabī (d. 638/1240) and Ibn al-Fāriḍ (d. 632/1235).
The Self of Muslim
This comparative study determines the intersections of modern psychology's concept of self (ego) and its counterpart in the Islamic tradition, especially in Sufism. It also examines the effect of faith on the believer's sense of self.
O Believers!
O Believers!Mufti Muhammad Qasim Qadri AttariIn order to enter the fold of Islam, it is essential to believe in the oneness of Allah ﷻ, the finality of the Prophet Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ, and the last revealed book of Allah, the Holy Qur'an. Along with belief, it is obligatory to follow the commands of Allah and His Beloved Messenger ﷺ, and to abstain from what has been forbidden. Since practicing these commands is not possible without knowledge, every Muslim is also obligated to gain understanding of the rules and prohibitions of Islam. The primary sources of such knowledge are the Qur'an and Hadith, along with the sciences derived from them. Therefore, it becomes necessary to seek religious knowledge through authentic means in order to fulfill Allah's commandments.Throughout history, the scholars of Shari'ah and the spiritual guides of the Sufi path have adopted various methods to impart religious teachings. One powerful and insightful method is to explain and reflect upon the verses of the Qur'an, especially those that begin with the address: "O Believers!" These verses carry special significance, as they directly speak to the people of faith, offering divine guidance in matters of belief (`Aqeedah), jurisprudence (Fiqh), and character (Akhlaq). This book is a compilation and interpretation of such verses, presenting them in a clear, accessible, and impactful manner. It provides valuable insights into how a believer should think, act, and live in accordance with Islamic principles.

Atlantic Crescent
In the period between the twentieth century's two world wars, Black and Muslim people from the United States, South Asia, and the Caribbean collided across an expansive diasporic geography. As these people and their ideas came into contact, they reignited the practice of Islam among people of African descent living in the United States and the Anglophone Caribbean and prompted them to adopt new understandings of their place in the world. As the freedom dreams of these diasporic communities met the realities and limitations of colonialism and race in the Atlantic world, Islam presented new strategies for combating oppression and introduced new allies in the struggle.Envisioning the geography and significance of this encounter within what she calls the Atlantic Crescent, Alaina M. Morgan draws on an expansive archive to show how Black and Muslim people imagined, understood, and acted on their religious and racial identities. Morgan reveals how her subjects' overlapping diasporic encounters with Islam led to varied local adaptation as well as common ground to pursue liberation from racial subjugation and white supremacy.
The Bloomsbury Handbook of Religion, Gender, and Sexuality in the Ancient Near East
Cutting across disciplinary boundaries and challenging traditional understandings of historical cultures, this handbook examines the ways in which gender, sexuality, and religion were mutually constructed and negotiated in ancient Near Eastern societies. The book explores these topics by adopting religion as a category of inquiry to understand gender roles and the intersections of sexualities with religious worldviews. With a focus on particular case studies, this volume provides a broad and interdisciplinary overview of key areas and issues across the study of religions, genders, and sexualities in the ancient Near East. Each section is introduced by the editors with a discussion of relevant terminology, as well as convergences and divergences of rituals, beliefs, practices, and themes among the contributions. Ranging from in-depth discussions of single texts to cross-cultural anthropological and sociological comparisons, the international contributions showcase the latest work of established scholars as well as emerging voices.

To Be Continued
Reincarnation is the soul's journey back to the Light via multiple physical incarnations. In each lifetime, the soul returns to the physical world to correct a different aspect of itself. In one incarnation a soul may need to learn about being rich; another it may need to learn about being poor. Or it may need to experience strength and weakness, anger and compassion, beauty and unsightliness. It doesn't matter if a person was Cleopatra or a foot soldier, the point is to be conscious of the things we failed at, the damage we came to restore so we can make the correction this time around.Reading this book can help you understand some of the challenges and questions you have in this lifetime that may have come from another life. Part I discusses the process of reincarnation-how and why it happens. In Part II, learn about life challenges and why it's important to embrace them as a necessary part of our soul's work. In Part III, you can detect past life lessons by using kabbalistic tools of angels, astrology, palm and face reading.Awareness of our soul's journey creates a context that helps us to guide our lives and appreciate what we were given. With this knowledge over many lifetimes our soul eventually manages to understand all the lessons and puts all of these fragments together. As it does so, the soul gathers sparks of Light back to itself. Eventually it returns to the source of all Light-the Creator-complete.When we understand reincarnation, our mistakes in this life don't become devastating. We develop a level of spiritual maturity that helps us to perceive how everything is part of a bigger plan designed to help us to change and grow. Death is not the end of the game, but just a chance to do over. We have nothing to fear. Life will be continued.
Finding the Light through the Darkness
Finding the Light through the Darkness invites readers on a transformative journey. These inspirational essays rooted in the Bible and the Zohar help us understand the lessons our soul chose to experience, view difficulties as a chance to change, and realize that everything is part of God's divine plan. Only then are we able to find joy in spiritual growth. By carrying the torch of Kabbalah masters, Karen Berg, Spiritual Director of The Kabbalah Centre, reminds us that light isn't revealed through light, it is revealed through darkness. With this awareness, we awaken to what life is really about, what we came here to be, and what we really want to do.
Unravelling DNA
We are living through a genetic revolution that is affecting fundamental aspects of our beliefs, values and daily lives. Genetics has the power to change the nature of what it is to be human. This novel technology affects our family life, the way societies function, the nature of our planet and even how we see ourselves. From discovering our ancestry, to genetic selection of our partners and children, through our healthcare, justice systems, the food on our plates, access to jobs, insurance and education, and including the existential threat to our planet, genetics is having a transformative impact. These advances in DNA science are progressing at a breathtaking rate, providing both dramatic benefits and some serious societal consequences. The advances, often combined with advances in artificial intelligence, raise complex ethical, personal and societal issues. Yet despite the implications, few of us understand the science or appreciate the deep consequences, benefits and risks for our collective future. This book aimed at non-experts describes in everyday language the full scope of the rapid advances in genetics but goes further by providing readers with the confidence and tools to form opinions and make decisions. Founded on Christian values, the book explores how genetic advances will affect four vital areas of relationships: with self, family, society and the world we live in. The "relationship test" is valuable because relationships are: a) a fundamental part of being human and thus universally relevant; b) the vehicle by which, in the image and likeness of God, we love others; c) able to accommodate future advances, extending the relevance and shelf life of the book. This focus on relationships ensures the book remains rooted in the sorts of practical challenges we all face in this new "genetic age". There are a number of features that are aimed to enable non-experts to understand the importance of this area of science: Provides informed and trustworthy information and opinion based on the author's international experience in genetics research.Covers the full range of genetic advances while rooting the science in applications to everyday life.Provides a Christian framework which encourages thought, reflection and decision-making based on clearly presented principles and values.Provides a flexible approach which is able to accommodate future advances in genetics thus extending the shelf-life of the book.Uses accessible concepts and language, together with illustrations drawn from popular media coverage (in films, news stories, popular culture, history, etc), common life experiences and my career as a leading scientist internationally. Enables personal decision-making and promotes collective Church engagement to shape the future applications of genetics globally. If you are interested in how a Christian can live and contribute effectively in the genetic age, or just want to understand what this all means now and for the future, this book is the answer.

God’s Coded Language Is All About Transparency
For people seeking to understand the spiritual world and the deep things of God, decoding God's language, expressed in imagery, numbers, colours, parables, parallels, stories, and foreshadows, is the essential elusive key that lights up the path of understanding the spiritual view of God. Nothing is hidden. It is written, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him" (I Corinthians 2:9). But this scripture only applies to those who want to see a charcoal sketch of their calling. People who receive the free gift of God's Holy Spirit have embraced the unique Spirit, and the world in the scriptures comes alive in dazzling colour because the elusive key is found and applied. The Apostle Paul added, "these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God" (I Corinthians 2:10).Every aspect of God's creation on earth is a revelation of the great Creator God for those with the Spirit-opened eyes to see, ears to hear, and a willing heart of flesh. The amazing discovery of God's coded language is all about transparency, unveiling His plan for mankind and His holy, royal, ruling family in the making.
