I later after ETSs out of the military transitioned into civilian life working as an Emergency Medical Technician. Emergency Medical Technician 9 years, Wackenhut Security Inc, 2 years, which is now called G4S. Secure Solution, whom I still worked for, Nursing Assistant 1 year, and an Oklahoma Department of Corrections Office 6.5 years. That bounced me into the world of writing and the discovery of my writing ability in the year 1997. Most of the stories in this book took place in Missouri when it was, spiritually, a very dark place. It was run by superstitions, fear and ignorance. Demonology and witchcraft were rampant at that time and many worlds were crashing together. The weird, the supernatural, and the darkness seemed to be fighting for dominance.Growing up in this environment presented many challenges, especially for a young boy who was homeless at the age of 13. The stories that "Papa" told to his children, and later his grandchildren, were exciting and riveting. Some were very, very dark and disturbing. Some were full of "Hillbilly" humor, but others were absolutely terrifying. Finally "Papa" gave in to the Holy Spirit's urging and committed the stories to paper. Teachings to Help You
This book, "Teachings To Help You," is a bit different from the 5 other books that I have published. I have gone back to the series of teachings which I have done through the years and written a chapter on each of the subjects. I have explained it in a little more detail in the, "Introduction." Each of these subjects is related to helping Christians understand and walk-in the Christian life. Sometimes, teachings can concentrate on the doctrine so much (of course, it is very important) and the individual Christian needs to understand how to put it into practice in his or her life. That's what these teachings concentrate on. Please read these chapters carefully and, perhaps, over and over. My heart's desire is that you are really helped by them and that you even want to share the truths with others. Gloria Hartman was in the pastoral ministry with her husband for many years and was involved in teaching the Word of God. She had her own radio teaching program called, "Girl Talk," on a Christian radio station. Through that ministry, she ended up speaking throughout the area in the Midwest in which they lived. After her husband's homegoing, she was on staff (in a teaching capacity) at a church that friends of her and her husband were pastoring. She has been writing books since her husband moved to heaven. In the order they were published, they are "Journey in Grace," "Choosing for a Change," "Coming Out of the Cocoon," "From Darkness to Light," "Living in the Light," and now, "Teachings to Help You."
