A Son of Night and Chaos
Undead, I walked - a storm unmade. A lust for pain became my creed. In this orgasm of vengeance, From death... I shall be freed. In the beginning, there were the Seven. Now, only fragments remain. The ancient cycle that governs all realms-Heaven, Hell, and the Mortal Plane-is collapsing. Archangels fall. Realities unravel. And Lucifer, once the brightest of the divine, stands at the heart of it all-strategist, rebel, and now, the last imprisoned hope. In a desperate attempt to outmaneuver Fate, Lucifer bends time, shatters destinies, and unearths truths long buried beneath the thrones of gods. But with each move, the universe tips closer to annihilation. Now, the last Ancients stir, old betrayals are laid bare, and humanity unknowingly inherits a fractured creation-ruled by monsters they worship as gods. The universe lies trapped in a loop of chaos and shadow. To break the cycle, a savior must rise from the ashes of divine failure.

In Farthest Seas
A breathtakingly beautiful novel about the first 4 years and last 4 months of a great love, by a "lacerating, luminous" Italian author (Jhumpa Lahiri, author of Interpreter of Maladies) Perfect for fans of short, razor-sharp modern literary classics like Annie Ernaux and Joan Didion's The Year of Magical Thinking Upon the death of her husband, Innocenzo Monti, Lalla Romano sought to distil the essence of their long life together. The result was In Farthest Seas a piercingly intimate retelling of the first 4 years and final 4 months of their relationship, built from shard-like moments of connection and revelation. The 1st section spans the couple's early attraction, which developed through long conversations on hikes in the mountains surrounding Cuneo, to their wedding and arrival at their first home together. A subtle note of elegy sounds through these recollections of love, and this note comes to the fore in the longer 2nd section that recounts the final 4 months of Innocenzo's life. With precise artistry, Romano braids together seemingly minor details--the expressiveness of Innocenzo's hands, the beauty of his face in sleep, a fleeting instance of pallor--that come to reveal the barest truths of life and death. Unsparing yet tender, minimal yet monumental, In Farthest Seas is a startlingly moving elegy, and perhaps the greatest work by a rediscovered Italian master, who's been compared to Natalia Ginzburg and Cesare Pavese.

Brookwood Cemetery & Other Poems & Dramatic Monologues
Brookwood Cemetery & Other Dramatic Monologues & Poems marks Carlo Parcelli's 9th collection and 4th publication with New Generation Beat Publications. The volume furthers Mr. Parcelli's effort to write in varied voices, from the anonymous to the infamous. It carries on the deep erudition that is Parcelli's trademark while remaining thoroughly emotive and entertaining.Intrigued by the Welsh/English poet, David Jones, Mr. Parcelli, adopted Jones' techniques most clearly represented in The Fatigue and The Wall. Mr. Parcelli's examples of this loose monologue format have met with great success by bringing to the fold people who otherwise considered contemporary poetry too dull, too selfie or too obscure, not viable forms when it came to melding both erudition and entertainment.

Judge This Book By Its Cover
We judge a book by its cover and often judge one another based on first impressions. I am an Epistle read by all men, and hopefully, upon my heart, you read the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who saves the lost. Therefore, go ahead and judge me. The judgments that are defined towards the seven churches in the book of Revelation are judgments to help us stand in the day of difficulties. Judgments are going to come, and with Christ's grace, we can stand firm in the judgments that are needed in our lives to be who God created us to be.
In Pursuit of Freedom
This book emerges out of a life and vocational journey of Rev Dr. Nevers Mumba. It highlights how being a man of the collar responded and extended beyond the Pastoral call into public service challenging every odd and barrier one could think of. Many politicians and some church people in Zambia and in other African countries have for long time held the belief that church and politics could not mix and that politics is a dirty game. This book is an answer to the debate of whether a Christian should be involved in politics or not and presents a strong narrative of the need to have men and women of sound morality in high places. Evil triumphs when good men do nothing is a proverb attributed to Edmund Burke that expresses the idea that inaction against evil allows it to continue or proliferate. This proverb is the hook on which this book hangs challenging the commonly held stereotype 'Politics is Dirty.' What should rather be known is that 'allowing dirty people in politics has adverse effect on a nation.' In pursuit of freedom provides details of the experiences of Dr. Nevers Mumba as living proof that men and women of right morality are well suited to serve the political office. This book is also designed to align the body of Christ to that fact of knowing that good management of the country and equitable delivery of services depends on the morality and integrity of its leaders. The discourse "In Pursuit of Freedom" is a clarion call for men and women of faith with right moral values to participate in changing the face of African politics. This is a faith generation voicing out its credentials in the political realm not only in Zambia but as an emerging geopolitical movement.

Old and Forgotten Cemeteries of New Jersey
With the completion of Old and Forgotten Cemeteries of NJ, Morris County Part 4, I feel we are in the home stretch of documenting most of the remaining family burial grounds and older cemeteries in the county. There is still more work to be done though, because locating them, and bringing awareness to their condition, are just the first steps to their preservation. I am simply amazed by the feedback and support I have received by the many people I have encountered during my journey.
Teachers' Impact and Temperament
TEACHERS' IMPACT AND TEMPERAMENTBy Bidemi Monday D. "Great teachers don't just teach subjects, they shape destinies." What happens when a teacher begins to understand their purpose beyond the classroom? When teaching is no longer just about lesson plans, but about life transformation? Bidemi Monday, a former teacher with hands-on experience across various grades in both primary and secondary schools, writes from the heart of one who has walked the path. Having taught in diverse school settings, he understands the demands, challenges, and emotional investments required of educators. And from that deep well of experience, he brings forth a powerful message in this book: your temperament as a teacher directly impacts your effectiveness and influence. In TEACHERS' IMPACT AND TEMPERAMENT, Bidemi addresses the "why" behind the profession, urging teachers to reconnect with their calling, cultivate the right mindset, and learn how to make a lasting impact not just academically, but emotionally and spiritually. He dives into how a teacher's personality and approach can make or break a child's learning experience and life journey. Drawing not only from classroom experience but also from his background in Banking and Finance at Kogi State University, Bidemi bridges practical knowledge with heart-centered wisdom. Now a dedicated author and mentor, he has written several life-changing books on marriage, maturity, decision-making, and spiritual growth. His unique blend of professional insight and spiritual grounding shines through every page of this book. Today, Bidemi is happily married to Mrs. Temilope Monday, and together they are raising two wonderful children. His passion for helping others grow, whether in the classroom or in life, continues through his writing and mentoring. In this book, you'll discover: ✅ Why teaching is more than a job, it's a mission✅ How to align your temperament with your teaching goals✅ What to impact in students, and how to do it meaningfully✅ Ways to transform your mindset and build purpose-driven habits✅ Spiritual and emotional insights that enrich the teaching journey Whether you're just starting out or have been in education for years, this book is a powerful tool to help you inspire, influence, and impact like never befor

One day she buys a typewriter and realizes that she has a flare for writing romantic novels. As one bestseller after another springs from her fertile mind, she is able to buy a house and live a comfortable life. Being equally inept at managing staff, she loses a number of housekeepers before employing a capable and attentive young man. When local gossip ensues, he declares his love and they are married. The Parent Trap
The book behind the world-famous film -- in a new translation by Anthea Bell. Gorgeous cover and package design presents a perfect collectible classics library for young readers. Luise has ringlets. When the two girls meet at a summer camp and discover the secret behind their similarity, they decide to switch places. Everyone is fooled (apart from the dog) and, despite a few mistakes and misadventures, everything goes to plan for Luise as Lottie and Lottie as Luise - until their father meets a young, beautiful woman and things start to unravel... Funny, moving, affectionate and improbable, The Parent Trap has twice been adapted for film - but the book remains one of the great classics of German children's literature.
Halloweird
In the flickering candlelight of pitchy Autumn nights, malevolent spirits crowd the gloom and weird, terrible things come to pass. Ever since the days of the druidic Samhain, storytellers have observed the tradition of spinning tall, twisted tales of dark magic, spectral stalkings and unearthly creatures to mark this festival's uniquely frightening aura. Collecting up a haunting haul of tales and a handful of weird seasonal poetry from across the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, this new volume celebrates the riotous weird of the Halloween season through the works of legendary ghost story writers such as Edith Wharton alongside rare literary treats, rediscovered by Johnny Mains and returning to print for the first time since their original publication.
Rethinking a Radical Reputation
Known for its anarchist and leftist movements, its uprisings and its vibrant counterculture, Exarcheia has long been a symbol of resistance and political activism in Greece. Through the voices and experiences of those who live, work and move through Exarcheia, this book delves into Athens' most contested neighbourhood - both its visible, striking elements and the unseen, elusive forces that linger in whispers, silences and memories. It unravels the tensions and contradictions of a place where beauty and resistance, decay and resilience are coexistent. Rather than reinforcing or dismissing its clich矇s and stereotypes, this exploration reveals the layered histories and political narratives that shape Exarcheia's past, present and future.

It examines the politics of anthropology, the sensitivities of cross-cultural understanding, and the challenges posed by rising Indigenous activism. David Trigger reflects on a career committed to cultural relativism while grappling with inherited values and beliefs. The book's conclusion addresses what "shared country" in the context of "different stories" can mean for the future.
Critiquing Neoliberalism

This book follows a group of young activists and artists who were facing increasingly precarious housing and labour market and were involved in a range of activist campaigns - particularly for reproductive rights and social and affordable housing, critiquing what they referred to as 'neoliberalism'.

For Mel Glenn, baseball is more than just a pleasant pastime, it is poetry in motion. Baseball plays a big part in the game of life, helping Mel and millions of like-minded fans cope with everyday stress and life-changing challenges. As we face the realities of aging, for example, Mel shows how following baseball keeps the playful child inside us alive and happy. And while Mel may "live and die" with the performance of his favorite teams and players, he reminds us that what happens on the diamond remains all in good fun.-Sam Friedman, author, Spikes: The Story of the First Lady of Baseball, As Told to Jackie RobinsonMel Glenn is passionate about sports. He reads, thinks, and talks about sports throughout the day, month, and year, anticipating upcoming games and entire seasons in his head. Sports even helps set his mood depending on whether his team wins or loses. But what sets Mel apart from the average fan is that his love of sports inspires him to write some beautiful poetry. In this, his third collection, each poem is a surprise. Reading them I've nodded at what he noticed, laughed at an irony, appreciated a metaphor, and as a fellow Brooklynite, commiserated and celebrated the fates of our teams.-Dror Kahn, co-author, The Lindens Still Bloom: A Survivor's StoryMel Glenn's poetic homage grabs the reader as it celebrates what makes baseball so special. I liked every poem and loved many, and I expect you will as well. From the first pitch of spring training to the last out in the World Series, baseball is a long season for players and fans alike. The poems in Mel's latest compilation honor those who make magic from March to October, reliving the moments that make us feel total exhilaration or complete despair - both emotions often experienced during the same inning. Read each poem with the respect and reverence it deserves, for baseball really does still matter in the lives of dedicated fans like Mel and me.-John E. Jarvey, baseball fan

The House of Doctor Koolhaas
Investigates the history of the Villa dall'Ava in the playful style of a detective novel. Gumshoe is a new series of architectural books that introduces an original approach to the writing of architectural history. It returns the focus of architectural discourse back onto buildings in a style and form that is fresh and scholarly but also easy and enjoyable to read. It emulates the detective novel--a form of writing beloved by many, but also one that has enjoyed a parallel academic life in disciplines and by writers in fields as diverse as psychoanalysis (Sigmund Freud), film (Sigfried Kracauer), and art history (Carlo Ginzburg)--but, significantly, not yet by architecture. Each volume will investigate a singular building as if it were a mystery waiting to be solved. Written by distinguished French architectural critic and historian Fran癟oise Fromonot, the first case--The House of Doctor Koolhaas--is about the Villa dall'Ava, a private residence in Saint-Cloud, a suburb of Paris. Fromonot brilliantly unpicks, explains, and interprets this very first building completed by Rem Koolhaas, who is universally regarded as the world's most celebrated architect, and his Rotterdam-based firm Office for Metropolitan Architecture. The house is resolutely part of a modern architectural canon, but until now has not been the focus of a dedicated book or analysis.
The wildfire risk management in buildings
Despite increasing investments in wildfire management, the occurrence of larger and more intense wildfires has become more frequent. Consequently, the impact on infrastructure located in high-risk areas has led to dramatic situations, involving the destruction of assets with significant economic and social value and, in extreme cases, the loss of human lives. This work aims to share technical and scientific knowledge on the most effective ways to manage wildfire risk in buildings, specifically dwellings. Three essential components are considered - the building itself, its surroundings, and self-protection capacity. These are examined in relation to current legislation and policies in Portugal. The content will be of primary interest to both technical and non-technical professionals involved in wildland-urban interface fire management, as well as to the general public, especially to citizens with buildings located in fire-prone areas.
