Deze studie illustreert de ontwerpmethode voor de implementatie van elektrische meerlagige kleine implanteerbare antennes voor biotelemetrieprocessen. De voorgestelde antenne bestaat uit drie lagen die zijn gerangschikt in een stapel, geperst op een hoge, permissief geaarde ondergrond. De diepste laag van de antenne boven het geaarde platte oppervlak bevat een gemedieerde constructie met een precies geplaatste T-vormige opening. Het middensegment bestaat uit 2 U-omlijnde radiatoren en op het hoogste segment is bovendien een M-omlijnde metalen deel toegevoegd voor een extra verbetering van de stralingseffici禱ntie van de antenne. Deze drie gestapelde lagen vormen een symmetrische gesloten lusstructuur die resoneert op het fundamentele resonantieontwerp, op 403 MHz, voor de MICS-band (Medical Implant Communication Service). Een verschoven hogere systeemprocedure van het gelijkaardige gesloten lusontwerp, langs de negatieve stromen op grondniveau die een breedbandproces mogelijk maken, op 2,45 GHz, voor de ge簿ndustrialiseerde, wetenschappelijke en medische (ISM) band.

Design and Implementation of AMBA interface on FPGA
The communication between high speed and low speed devices is the major issue in the design of any processor and controllers. Advanced Microcontroller Bus Architecture (AMBA) is a protocol that is used as an open standard onchip interconnect specification for the connection and management of the functional blocks in system on chip (SoC). This Book describes the implementation of AMBA interface between high performance bus and low performance bus based on AMBA 2.0 specification. The design of Advanced High performance Bus (AHB) and Advanced Peripheral Bus (APB) interface modules are designed using verilog HDL based on the finite state machine operation. The AMBA interface is designed for 32-bit data transfer between AHB and APB module. The designed interface is tested by data transfer between peripheral end modules to processor end module in simulation environment using Xilinx ISE 13.4 design suite with ModelSim 6.3f simulator. The Virtex 5 XC5VLX110T-1FF1136 FPGA is used for hardware implementation of AMBA interface.
Enhanced Image Security Using Fingerprint Based Watermarking System
In multimedia technologies has simplified the ways for the transmission, reproduction and manipulation of data. The digital content can be protected against counterfeiting, piracy and any unauthorized access by digital watermarking. Digital watermarking is an essential technique to add copyright notice, secret messages or verification messages to digital image signals, audio, video which is used for identifying the original creator of digital content. The image watermarking algorithm is developed where fingerprint biometric identification image is inserted to it. Discrete wavelet transform technique is used for embedding and extraction of watermark in original image by using LSB which as fingerprint biometric image as watermark. Among all the biometric identities, the fingerprint is most reliable identification system. The fingerprint trait is chosen because of its higher accuracy and reliability. The results show that the DWT technique is robust against various common image processing operations. Performance of method for different value of scaling factor is analyzed by using statistical parameters such as peak signal-to-noise-ratio (PSNR) and mean square error (MSE).

Microwave Indices from Active and Passive Sensors for Remote Sensing Applications
Past research has comprehensively assessed the capabilities of satellite sensors operating at microwave frequencies, both active (SAR, scatterometers) and passive (radiometers), for the remote sensing of Earth's surface. Besides brightness temperature and backscattering coefficient, microwave indices, defined as a combination of data collected at different frequencies and polarizations, revealed a good sensitivity to hydrological cycle parameters such as surface soil moisture, vegetation water content, and snow depth and its water equivalent. The differences between microwave backscattering and emission at more frequencies and polarizations have been well established in relation to these parameters, enabling operational retrieval algorithms based on microwave indices to be developed. This Special Issue aims at providing an overview of microwave signal capabilities in estimating the main land parameters of the hydrological cycle, e.g., soil moisture, vegetation water content, and snow water equivalent, on both local and global scales, with a particular focus on the applications of microwave indices.
Remote Sensing of Evapotranspiration (ET)
Evapotranspiration (ET) is a critical component of the water and energy balances, and the number of remote sensing-based ET products and estimation methods has increased in recent years. Various aspects of remote sensing of ET are reported in the 11 papers published in this book. The major research areas covered by this book include inter-comparison and performance evaluation of widely used one- and two-source energy balance models, a new dual-source model (Soil Plant Atmosphere and Remote Sensing Evapotranspiration, SPARSE), and a process-based model (ETMonitor); assessment of multi-source (e.g., remote sensing, reanalysis, and land surface model) ET products; development or improvement of data fusion frameworks to predict continuous daily ET at a high spatial resolution (field-scale or 30 m) by fusing the advanced spaceborne thermal emission reflectance radiometer (ASTER), the moderate resolution imaging spectroradiometer (MODIS), and Landsat data; and investigating uncertainties in ET estimates using an ET ensemble composed of several land surface models and diagnostic datasets. The effects of the differences between ET products on water resources and ecosystem management were also investigated. More accurate ET estimates and improved understanding of remotely sensed ET products are crucial for maximizing crop productivity while minimizing water losses and management costs.

Wide Bandgap Semiconductor Based Micro/Nano Devices
While group IV or III-V based device technologies have reached their technical limitations (e.g., limited detection wavelength range or low power handling capability), wide bandgap (WBG) semiconductors which have band-gaps greater than 3 eV have gained significant attention in recent years as a key semiconductor material in high-performance optoelectronic and electronic devices. These WBG semiconductors have two definitive advantages for optoelectronic and electronic applications due to their large bandgap energy. WBG energy is suitable to absorb or emit ultraviolet (UV) light in optoelectronic devices. It also provides a higher electric breakdown field, which allows electronic devices to possess higher breakdown voltages. This Special Issue seeks research papers, short communications, and review articles that focus on novel synthesis, processing, designs, fabrication, and modeling of various WBG semiconductor power electronics and optoelectronic devices.

Advanced Memristor Modeling
The investigation of new memory schemes, neural networks, computer systems and many other improved electronic devices is very important for future generation's electronic circuits and for their widespread application in all the areas of industry. In this aspect the analysis of new efficient and advanced electronic elements and circuits is an essential field of the highly developed electrical and electronic engineering. The resistance-switching phenomenon, observed in many amorphous oxides has been investigated since 1970 and it is a promising technology for constructing new electronic memories. It has been established that such oxide materials have the ability for changing their conductance in accordance to the applied voltage and memorizing their state for a long-time interval. Similar behaviour has been predicted for the memristor element by Leon Chua in 1971. The memristor is proposed in accordance to symmetry considerations and the relationships between the four basic electric quantities - electric current i, voltage v, charge q and magnetic flux Ψ. The memristor is an essential passive one-port element together with the resistor, inductor, and capacitor. The Williams HP research group has made a link between resistive switching devices, and the memristor proposed by Chua. A number of scientific papers related to memristors and memristor devices have been issued and several memristor models have been proposed. The memristor is a highly nonlinear component. It relates the electric charge q and the flux linkage, expressed as a time integral of the voltage. The memristor element has the important capability for remembering the electric charge passed through its cross-section and its respective resistance, when the electrical signals are switched off. Due to its nano-scale dimensions, non-volatility and memorizing properties, the memristor is a sound potential candidate for application in computer high-density memories, artificial neural networks and in many other electronic devices.
