Forrest Fenn’s Treasure Remote Viewed
Important update: Forrest Fenn has confirmed to the Santa Fe New Mexican the treasure chest has been found (reported June 07, 2020). Well done, 'Back East'! Kiwi Joe. For some time now, I have been looking for a popular mystery to demonstrate the power of remote viewing. Mr. Fenn's treasure hunt was perfect for that project, and with the agreement of my client, I released two books using the session work I completed for myself. The detailed remote viewing maps and accompanying data are significant for treasure hunters. This first book alone had significant information to help crack Forrest Fenn's cryptic clues, and to help verify solutions and strategies or to rethink them. The book shows how Mr. Fenn hid the chest at the site and where he hid it, once the treasure hunter was close enough to throw a rock at it. I included a bird's eye view of the immediate area, and as a bonus, I took a peek inside the chest. The book includes 16 full-page illustrations from five remote view sessions, together with my analysis of the data and conclusions. Additionally, there's a resource list of relevant literature as well as other online sources for both treasure hunters and remote viewers. The book is divided into two parts with all illustrations included in the second part. You can find my contact details in the back of the books if you have any questions or suggestions. Remote Viewing uses an ESP ability found in all of us to view a distant or unseen object by means of a disciplined approach originally developed under the auspices of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) in the 1970s.

Medallic History Of Napoleon. A Collection Of All The Medals, Coins, And Jettons, Relating To His Actions And Reign. From The Year 1796-1815
Napoleon's story hammered into metal. Every medal records a moment. Compiled by Louis Millin, Aubin, this exhaustive napoleonic medal collection gathers the coins, medals and jettons tied to his campaigns and reign from 1796 to 1815. Part historical coin catalog and part illustrated medal guide, it functions as a practical numismatic reference book and an elegant inventory of french empire memorabilia and military history artifacts. Its systematic entries pair precise descriptions with dated context, turning isolated pieces into a coherent visual chronicle that anchors european numismatics to the wider sweep of napoleonic era history. Beyond its value as a collector's checklist, the volume is a research tool for curators and historians: a museum reference guide for display, provenance work and comparative study, and a source of typological evidence for those reconstructing mint practices and commemorative programmes. Its typologies and die descriptions provide comparative anchors for provenance research and situate medals within campaign chronologies. Curatorial teams have long relied on works like this to support exhibition labels and to identify otherwise anonymous pieces. By preserving imagery and inscriptions from early 19th century France it captures the official language of power and public memory, a unique complement to military narratives and archival records. Antique coin collectors and dealers will find its order and clarity indispensable for tracing emperor napoleon collectibles and related french empire memorabilia, while specialists in european numismatics will appreciate the sober rigour of its headings and cross-references. Readable as well as rigorous, the work reaches beyond cabinet rooms: casual readers intrigued by napoleonic era history are rewarded by tangible links to campaign dates and ceremonies, and classic-literature collectors will value the book as a period companion that evokes artistic and textual networks of the age. Republished by Alpha Editions in a careful modern edition, this volume preserves the spirit of the original while making it effortless to enjoy today - a heritage title prepared for readers and collectors alike.
Medals Of The Renaissance
Small discs, great stories. Beauty cast in precious metal. Medals Of The Renaissance, by George Francis Hill, reveals fifteenth-century Italy, where portraiture, civic pride and humanist learning converge in miniature sculpture. Part scholarly catalogue and part decorative arts anthology, Hill's study traces the emergence of Italian Renaissance medals and explains their place within renaissance art history. Written with a collector's eye and a curator's rigour, it functions as a practical guide to building a medallic art collection and as an art collector reference, while its clear, descriptive prose makes the specialised field of historical numismatics approachable for casual readers. Hill's methodical descriptions and typologies helped shape later catalogues and museum practice; his observations continue to inform european art appreciation and serve as a sound museum studies resource. There is evident historical significance: the book situates objects from fifteenth century Italy within wider renaissance period culture and connects neatly to the Leonardo da Vinci era without resorting to jargon. Republished by Alpha Editions in a careful modern edition, this volume preserves the spirit of the original while making it effortless to enjoy today - a heritage title prepared for readers and collectors alike. Practical yet evocative, the work balances precise scholarship with an enthusiasm that will please classical art enthusiasts as much as classic-literature collectors. Students, curators and exhibition-makers, along with anyone captivated by renaissance art history, will find a rich, accessible reference; those assembling a medallic art collection gain the vocabulary and context needed to judge a piece with confidence. Alongside measured attributions and careful comparisons, Hill maps networks of patronage and workshop practice that gave these medals their meaning. Useful in classroom discussion, gallery interpretation and private study, the volume offers steady returns to readers who revisit its pages. Casual readers encounter immediate human stories; scholars and museum professionals keep it as a steady companion to the study of renaissance period culture.
Medallic History Of Napoleon. A Collection Of All The Medals, Coins, And Jettons, Relating To His Actions And Reign. From The Year 1796-1815
A visual chronicle of empire and ambition. Every medal tells a campaign. Collectors will find it indispensable. Louis Millin's Medallic History of Napoleon assembles the medals, coins and jettons struck during the campaigns and reign of Napoleon Bonaparte from 1796 to 1815 into a carefully organised catalogue. More than a register, this classic numismatics compendium explains the language of images and inscriptions that transformed metal into public memory. Presented as an illustrated numismatic guide and a practical historical coin reference, it helps identify issues, trace iconography and place each piece within the tumult of the Napoleonic wars era. The book's careful ordering and descriptive notes make it a natural museum reference book and a resource for those who handle french empire memorabilia or study european royal medals. As a napoleonic medal collection it connects battlefield, court and mint, showing how small issues served as public statements and instruments of commemoration. For students of early 19th century France the volume is a contemporary window on how regimes celebrated victories, rewarded loyalty and shaped reputations. It also speaks to collectors: napoleon bonaparte collectibles and military history artifacts find context here, while antique coin collectors of all levels can consult its listings for comparison and provenance clues. Casual readers will be drawn to the vivid sweep of history encoded in small objects; classic-literature collectors will appreciate the book's place in the period bibliography and its role as a documentary artefact. Carefully paced prose brings numismatic detail to life without losing sight of the human stories these pieces commemorate, making the work as useful on a curator's bench as it is on a living-room table. Practically, its indexing and cross-references assist identification, dating and display - tools for catalogue-making, exhibition labelling and provenance comparison. The book's original voice anchors it in its moment, making it as much a primary historical artefact as a reference text for anyone fascinated by napoleon bonaparte collectibles and the material culture of command. Republished by Alpha Editions in a careful modern edition, this volume preserves the spirit of the original while making it effortless to enjoy today - a heritage title prepared for readers and collectors alike.
Medals Of The Renaissance
Medals Of The Renaissance brings into sharp focus the small, resonant objects that carried portrait, praise and politics across courts and ateliers. Miniature marvels that shaped history. George Francis Hill's study reads as both an authoritative European medal catalogue and a readable historical medals reference, marrying meticulous description with cultural narrative across fifteenth century Europe and the Italian centres of artistic patronage. As a contribution to Renaissance art history, it situates medals at the intersection of portraiture, patronage and material culture, showing their central place among Renaissance Italy artefacts and within any decorative arts collection. The book functions as both an art historians' resource and a numismatic studies guide, accessible to curious readers while supplying the precise entries that collectors and curators require. Part of George Francis Hill's works, this volume has long been treated as an antique medals compendium and a practical European reference for museum and academic use. Its historical significance rests in the way it ties numismatic detail to social history and visual culture: medals emerge not merely as objects but as records of taste, diplomacy and identity within Italian Renaissance culture and fifteenth century Europe. Casual readers will find human stories: tastes, rivalries and commissions that bring the era to life; classic-literature collectors, museum professionals and private connoisseurs will value the measured scholarship and reliable cross-references that support research, exhibition loans and provenance enquiries. Presented for the modern reader and the collector alike, this is a natural addition to any decorative arts collection or museum collectors edition. Its pages suit both careful study and casual browsing by collectors and students alike. Republished by Alpha Editions in a careful modern edition, this volume preserves the spirit of the original while making it effortless to enjoy today - a heritage title prepared for readers and collectors alike.

The 56 Colorful Ethnic Groups of China
There are 56 separate ethnic groups in China, some with histories going back thousands of years. Scattered throughout China, the groups have different cultures, eating habits, languages, musical traditions, living conditions, traditional costumes and religious beliefs. Many of these groups have languages of their own that are still spoken today. By outlining these different groups and showing them in their natural habitat this book takes a look at an element of the Chinese culture that is rarely seen. Whether it's the ancient Dongba religion of the Naxi, the world famous tea production of the She, the gentle and beautiful folk songs of the Bouyei or the ancestor-worshiping Zhuang, one is struck by the richness of Chinese ethnic life and the great variety of its dress. For example, the clothing of the Mongolian ethnic group located in northwest China reflects a long and rich nomadic tradition. Jewelry, robes, belts and boots are the four main elements of this ethnic group. Mongolian women wear head ornaments made from gold, silver, pearl and agate. The culture of the Miao people living in Southern China is also reflected in their clothing which has been called the most beautiful in the world. Miao clothing is renowned for its world-famous embroidery as well as for its eye-catching colors and intricate silver decorations. This book, through written summaries and color photographs of the costumes of each of the various ethnicities, gives the reader a rare opportunity to see this diverse and complicated element of Chinese culture. The special attire of each ethnic group is described in words and color photographs, organized so as to show the striking complexity and variety of the various forms of ethnic dress in China.

Blue Moon Tarot
The Blue Moon Tarot Guide Book is the essential companion to Julie Cuccia-Watts' second tarot deck. Initially Blue Moon was meant to serve as closure for the calendar ideas written about in the Ancestral Path Tarot Wheel of the year. But instead it became the inspiration for Julie's third deck MAAT Tarot. Originally Blue Moon was a hand glued laser printed deck that ran from 1998-2001. In 2004 Blue Moon was printed professionally as a limited edition of 1000 signed and numbered major arcana. In 2020 this deck had an upgrade and is now available on demand. This guide was remastered for the 2020 Blue Moon Tarot remake.
Unofficial Wrestling Figure Retrospective 1990-1994
Regardless of what was going on in the real world, the early 1990s was a great time to be a child. Suspend belief as the tanned heroes of the wrestling world that came to life with the release of the WWF Hasbro wrestling figures. In the real world of wrestling it was a period of change for the WWF and this was the same with the action figures. LJN had just lost the contract for the figures and although they looked good they didn't look too much like their real-world counterparts. Along came the WWF Hasbro figures and change all that. Like most men in their early/mid/late 30's I grew up with the wonderful world of the WWF. These were the days when every wrestler was a superstar (unless they were 'currently in the ring') and became names you'd know and love almost 30 years on. The elation of finding them and the struggle of who will be your next champion. With this book, the Unofficial Wrestling Figure Retrospective 1990-1994, all those memories come flooding back. Find out what happened to the Rhythm & Blues Greg Valentine. What about the mythical Brutus Beefcake Red & Yellow figure? I'm sure someone said something about The Beverly Brothers tag team? Tang Dynasty Qian Yuan Zhong Bao Cash Coins
China's Tang Dynasty, lasting for 289 years from 618 to 907 AD, was a golden age, when literature, art, technological innovation, and trade flourished. To support a currency-based economy for a population that numbered 80 million by the end of the dynasty, two main series of bronze cash coins were produced in the millions, one of which bears the inscription 乾元重宝 (Qian Yuan Zhong Bao; QYZB). The foremost previous reference on QYZB is Ken Gen J羶 H繫 Senfu (2005) by Sh繫ji Yoshida, written in Japanese. While generally following Yoshida's classification, this guide documents more of the fine-scale variation in the main groups of QYZB. It begins with introductory material on the historical context of the coins, their method of production, what defines a variety, fake QYZB, and terminology and identifying features. One short appendix discusses whether and how to clean cash coins, and another presents guidelines for purchasing them on the Internet. The body of the guide lists 457 varieties or variants of mostly value-1 (

Transnational Art Crime
How does transnational crime interact with legal companies andgovernments? Are legal actors primarily victimized by transnationalcriminals or are the two connected by collaborative relationships? Andhow are these crimes often transformed into legitimate activities? This book seeks to answer these and related questions. Its main topicis the translational illicit art and antiquities trade, based on a thoroughempirical study of data gathered in France, Italy, the Netherlands andother places around the world. The reader will encounter a large numberof case studies, from auction houses selling looted antiquities to violentrobberies of museums and castles, and much more.Added to this is an analysis of the way legal and illegal actorsinteract around all kinds of transnational crimes, from terrorism to drugtrafficking, cigarette smuggling, trade in blood diamonds and covertoperations of intelligence agencies around the world. This analysis istranslated into an analytical model to understand the interfaces betweenthe legal and the illegal, and in fact the absence of a meaningfuldistinction between "upper" and "underworld." Cast Chinese Amulets
For over 2,000 years, the Chinese have been producing amulets in the shape of flat metal objects, usually cast in brass or bronze, some shaped like the traditional square-holed cash coins, others in a variety of fancy shapes, promising good luck in various fields, the turning away of evil influences, or conveying religious sentiments. Some have inscriptions taken from the Classics of 500 BC.Previously, catalogues of these amulets were arranged in various different ways - by shape, size, meaning, Emperor's name, or a common feature. However, this made it difficult to locate a particular piece - it would not be immediately clear to a non-expert whether a piece was "Lucky", "Religious", "Family" or "Coin".This catalogue is designed for ease of identification. It is divided into four sections - Openwork, Pictorial, Zodiac, and Inscriptions. Preceding the detailed catalogue for each section is a Finding Guide which is arranged by salient features, or by the first character of the inscription. There is also a section which lists inscriptions that might not be clear as they are in non-standard scripts or lay-outs. In the catalogue there is a brief description of the piece, the inscription (if any) in Chinese characters and Pinyin, and a translation, explanation, and source.Over 5,000 amulets are included in the catalogue. Together they provide a fascinating insight into traditional Chinese beliefs and aspirations.

Veley, winner of the award for Best Overall Design - Non Fiction in the 2020 Next Generation Indie Book Awards for his last book, A Century of Autopoint, returns to The Leadhead's Pencil Blog for a new series of articles written during the isolation of the Pandemic. He filled long hours at home with research, photographing new finds and writing original and groundbreaking historical accounts about the American pen and pencil industry. Included in this volume are in-depth histories of Crocker, Chilton, Century, Chicago Gold Pen Company, and the Chicago Safely Pen Company, among many others. "I know they're just pencils," he writes, "workaday items that just don't matter that much in the grand scheme of human civilization. But as I tell these stories, I've come to appreciate that there are times when something passes into my hands that brings with it more than just the ability to make a dark line on a sheet of paper - it brings along with it the baggage of rich history." His stories about "pencils, the universe and everything" weave together the objects themselves, those who made them, and those who appreciate them today.
