Chemical Clusters from Skeletal Numbers to Capping Indices

The recent discovery of skeletal numbers made it possible to analyze and categorize hundreds of chemical clusters. In the process, the categorization parameter K*= DzCy where z+y=n (the total number of skeletal elements) was also discovered. In conventional clusters, the skeletal elements in a cluster can be distributed into two shells namely the D and C shells. The D shell follows the 14n capping series while the C shell follows the 12n capping series. On close scrutiny and analysis of cluster series, an equation for determining cluster valence electrons was developed. The equation is given by VE=14z+2+12y for transition metal clusters. Since, VE=VF which can be calculated from the cluster formulas, the values of z and y can easily be calculated as VF= 14z+2+12y. In actual fact these two equations can be simplified to generate a much simpler equation VF-12n=2z+2. Hence, knowing VF, and n, the value of z and subsequently that of y can readily be obtained. Thus, K*=DzCy can be derived without using skeletal numbers. From K*, cluster number K and cluster valence electrons as well as constructing isomeric shapes can be generated.

Verification of adulteration in milk sold in Assis/SP

The aim of this study was to check for adulteration and fraud in samples of pasteurised whole milk types A, B and C sold in the city of Assis-SP. 25 samples were analysed over 5 months. The following tests were carried out on all the samples: digital cryoscopy, density, pH, fat, acidity in 簞Dornic, and the lacto-sedimentation test. The results were compared to the standards of the legislation in force in Brazil, Normative Instruction No. 51 of 18 September 2002. Of the 25 batches of milk analysed, only 12% met all the legal requirements. The lacto-sedimentation and cryoscopy determinations showed the greatest irregularities in the analyses carried out. The conclusion is that there is a need to improve quality control in the production of pasteurised milk consumed in the city of Assis - SP.

Qualitative Analysis of Zintl Ions

The recent discovery of skeletal numbers enables us to determine the partial and/or the total number of the chemical linkages found in a cluster formula.The isomeric shapes of chemical clusters strictly obey the natural law K=n+t where K is given the name CLUSTER NUMBER and represents the total linkages in a chemical cluster, n represents the primary linkages and t represents the secondary linkages. It was also discovered that K has a double meaning. Its value corresponds to the number of ELECTRON PAIRS it requires so that each of its skeletal elements attains a NOBLE GAS configuration. The formula K=n+t has also been found to be a very powerful instrument for the construction of isomeric shapes of chemical clusters. Once the cluster formula has been constructed in line with the law K=n+t, it does reflect the cluster formula's content showing all the skeletal elements in the cluster as well as their skeletal valances, charges and any ligands present. Therefore, we can regard the lines drawn in shapes of isomeric clusters as not just geometrical lines, but rather as "LIVE WIRES'' carrying cluster valence electrons to and from the neighboring skeletal elements.

Copper, cobalt, nickel, iron, and zinc complexes with ligands derived from pyridoxal were analyzed. Photocatalytic reduction of nitrate in water

Oil biomarkers

Oil spills or thefts can be a problem in the Province of Santa Cruz due to its hydrocarbon-producing nature. This research was focused on evaluating the potential of some molecules present in crude oil known as biomarkers to respond to the aforementioned problems. Based on the above, the study was divided into two stages: first, the chemical characterization by biomarkers of 15 samples of light crude oil from the Springhill Fm and Lower Magallanes Fm, which were obtained in quadruplicate over a year, was carried out. In the second stage, from one of the previously analyzed crudes, an artificial weathering test was carried out under laboratory conditions in both seawater and soil for 12 months. The purpose was to evaluate the behavior of the biomarkers against this process that normally alters the general composition of the oil when it is released into the environment.

The research work carried out in this book aims to develop a simple and rapid synthesis route for new chiral derivatives of 1,2,4-oxadiazin-5-ones known for their interesting biological activities.The first part of this book describes the synthesis of a series of optically active α-bromoacids by enantioselective nitrous deamination of natural amino acids. These will subsequently react with thionyl chloride followed by methanol to give the corresponding α-bromoesters.Condensation of these previously prepared α-bromoesters with 1-benzenesulfonylpyrrolidin-2-carboxamidoxime in the presence of two equivalents of sodium hydride offers desired new chiral 1,2,4-oxadiazin-5-ones in good chemical yields.
