Fundamentals of Layout Design for Electronic Circuits
This book covers the fundamental knowledge of layout design from the ground up, addressing both physical design, as generally applied to digital circuits, and analog layout. Such knowledge provides the critical awareness and insights a layout designer must possess to convert a structural description produced during circuit design into the physical layout used for IC/PCB fabrication. The book introduces the technological know-how to transform silicon into functional devices, to understand the technology for which a layout is targeted (Chap. 2). Using this core technology knowledge as the foundation, subsequent chapters delve deeper into specific constraints and aspects of physical design, such as interfaces, design rules and libraries (Chap. 3), design flows and models (Chap. 4), design steps (Chap. 5), analog design specifics (Chap. 6), and finally reliability measures (Chap. 7). Besides serving as a textbook for engineering students, this book is a foundational reference for today's circuit designers. For Slides and Other Information: https: //www.ifte.de/books/pd/index.html

Stability and Robustness of Multivariable Feedback Systems
This book on stability theory and robustness will interest researchers and advanced graduate students in the area of feedback control engineering, circuits, and systems. It will also appeal to mathematicians who are involved in applications of functional analysis to engineering problems. The book provides a methodology for the rigorous treatment of such inherently feedback aspects of dynamical system design as robustness and sensitivity, just as many researchers are beginning to realize that this type of methodology is mandatory if modern systems theory is to be used to design complicated multivariable and large-scale systems. The main objective of the book is to provide a clear mathematical formulation of the issues that arise in designing feedback systems that are robust against the destabilizing effects of unknown-but-bounded uncertainty in component dynamics. It is the first study to identify formal methods for the quantitative analysis of multiloop feedback system robustness. The view that is presents of nonlinear, multiloop feedback system stability theory is unique, lucid, and conceptually appealing. Lyapunov and input-output stability theories are unified in a new and simple geometrical perspective based on the topological separation of spaces. This perspective greatly facilitates visualization of the underlying conceptual issues in stability and robustness theory and serves to motivate specific results concerning the robustness of feedback systems. Potentially, this methodology may be applied to nonlinear feedback design, validation of modeling approximations, hierarchical control system design, and stability margin analysis for multiloop feedback systems. This book is the third publication in The MIT Press Series in Signal Processing, Optimization, and Control, edited by Alan S. Willsky.

Ultra fast acting electronic circuit breaker
This book is intended to fast protection of electric circuit from over load and a short circuit fault which is happens into the power system. So here for protection electric circuit from short circuit or over load current we introduce the ECB. which has less trip time of circuit whenever abnormal condition occur as compared to mechanical or convectional circuit breaker such as MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) which takes longer time to trip the circuit because of very slow action thermal bimetal lever mechanism that used in MCB (Miniature Circuit breaker). For protection of sensitive load from short circuit or over load current trip time of circuit should be very low and this can be achieved by ECB (Electronic Circuit Breaker). At the time of short circuit, current flow through the series element which has a low resistance that is sensed by ECB (Electronic Circuit Breaker). Then voltage drop across series element and preset voltage are compared in level comparator, resultant signal of comparator is given to microcontroller, MOSFET is operated through microcontroller and then operation of relay is decided by MOSFET and circuit is trip instantaneously.
Object Detection and Recognition Using Deep Learning
Many real-life machine learning applications are increasingly guiding into focus on object detection and recognition. The traditional computer vision approaches do not achieve the needed accuracies. Deep learning-based approaches have achieved high accuracy levels raising the interest in such approaches in recent years. License plate detection and recognition have been extensively studied over the decades. However, more accurate and national/language-independent approaches are still in the focus of today's demand. In this book, we discuss an approach to detect and recognize multinational and multilingual license plates. The approach has four modules and each module is implemented using convolutional neural network architecture. The YOLOv2 detector with ResNet core network is utilized for license plate detection module. Faster R-CNN detector with a custom core network architecture is used for character segmentation module. Low complexity convolutional neural network architectures for license plate classification and character recognition modules are analyzed and studied. Each module is trained and tested separately and used to build end-to-end license plate recognition system.

Underwater Labriform-Swimming Robot
This book provides a simplified description of how to design an underwater swimming robot, inspired by the mechanism of the Labriform mode of fish. This style of swimming depends on the pectoral fins only as a main locomotor for movement. A unique model with fins having a concave shape allows the highest thrust force to be achieved during the power period and the lowest drag force during the recovery period, especially if the velocity values between the powering and recovery periods are manipulated.Besides the ability to swim quickly, the proposed model was also inspired by a method of maneuvering based on the principle of differential drive for two-wheel mobile robot, achieving the minimum turning radius by controlling the speed of the rowing fins. Also, by applying the technique of the diving model used by gliders, the robot achieves underwater gliding by changing the center of the body's mass. Thus, the robot obtains the ability to dive and float in a manner similar to the Sawtooth wave. All the mentioned tasks were conducted via laboratory experiments and proven to be both effective and efficient.
