According to foreign language theory, childhood is the best time to learn languages. But my observation is quite different, because in the course of my lessons I simply notice that the pupils are unable to form a sentence or write a short text. They are silent in unison. These difficulties that I noticed in them prompted me to think about certain things and to help them with other strategies.The aim of my work is therefore to create autonomy in language learning through the structures of the Passive Way and its corollaries, so that learners of German receive the support of effective materials in class and after class at the same time. This means that learners can constantly develop their language skills so that communication channels with speakers of the target language are established and expanded.
Surkhandarya Wedding Ceremony Ethnographisms
The monograph is devoted to the study of the ethnographic lexicon of the Uzbek language, and the semantics and linguistic-cultural features of the wedding ceremony ethnographies specific to the Surkhandarya region are analyzed. Interrelationship of language and culture, the semantics of ethnographies, which are the main representatives of national culture, phenomena related to ethnography, areal-individual lexicon related to Surkhandarya oasis wedding ceremonies, "Reflection of elements of national culture in the "Kelinsalam" ceremony, such as points as the fact that wedding ceremonies are a linguistic and cultural unity (linguculturalism), one of the main stages of wedding ceremonies is the manifestation of a national stereotypical character related to "sovchilik". The monograph is intended for a wide readership of linguists, ethnographers, research workers, graduate students of higher education institutions, and those interested in ethnographic lexical analysis.
Effective Political Communication in Relevance Theory
This study focuses on the effective political communication in the House of Commons, by taking into account the inferential capacities of the audience in understanding political communications effectively. To achieve such a goal, the study is dedicated to presenting a thematic and content qualitative research method to the selected extracts from the UK parliamentary debates in the House of Commons. As the authors develop an analytical model within the Relevance Theory. Theoretically, this study tries to investigate the role of explicatures and implicatures in effective political interactions. Practically, this study shows that effectiveness can mobilize many political affairs especially in the most vital point in the UK Parliament the House of Commons. A pragmatic study about political discourses is devoted to analyze the different syntactic structures that arise within the frame work of Sperber and Wilson's Relevance Theory (1986/1995). The focus of the study is the inferential aspects of communication, represented in explicatures and implicatures.
Teaching Listening Comprehension to EFL Students
Listening comprehension is an important part of English as Foreign Language (EFL). It is one of the four languages skills learners have to master. But it is often ignored by foreign and second language teachers. While the other three language skills receive direct instructional care, teachers frequently expect learners to develop their listening capability by osmosis and without help. Therefore, the listening skill should be a major area of concern to teachers and to learners of EFL class. This research work is structured into six chapters. Chapter 1 deals with the introduction to the study and includes problem statements, the purpose of the study, the significance of the study, the research questions and hypotheses and the limits of the study. Chapter 2 deals with literature review which includes the report of the reading materials and the critical appreciation of the report of the reading materials. Chapter 3 refers to the methodology used to collect data. In chapter 4, I have dealt with the presentation and analysis of the collected data. Chapter 5 deals with the presentation of the results of the research work. Chapter 6 is about the recommendations and suggestions.

Anglicisms in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian context
Languages have a natural tendency to evolve, change and mirror the new cultural/socioeconomic trends and scientific and technological advancements. A part and parcel of this fluidity is incorporation and/or adaptation of a number of foreign words. Due to multiple reasons, a language that seems to be the source of a vast number of borrowed words in different languages is English. Thus, Bosnian has been impacted in a similar way, resulting in a very noticable use of English loanwords, i.e. anglicisms among the Bosnian population.Although the presence of Anglicisms in certain specialized areas in scientific and technical domains in the Bosnian language has been examined before, prior research lacks a sociolinguistic orientation. To this date, there has been no study that examined the relationship between the usage of Anglicisms and the level of understanding of both a written form and its meaning in the Bosnian language among the youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In order to gain a deeper look into the topic, the present work investigates Bosnian & Herzegovinian high school students' usage and knowledge of contemporary Anglicisms.

Historically, the Atlantic Ocean has served to define the relationship between the so-called worlds of the 'Old' and the 'New'. A geographical divide between continents, it is also no less a historical space across which peoples have travelled, sharing ideas and cultural practices, a site of encounter and exchange that has shaped the lives of communities and nations across the globe. This book maps this productive web of multi-layered connections, not just in terms of military, migratory, economic and commercial actions and processes, but also of shifting lines of translation that have mobilised ideas, fomented the exchange of experiences and opened up channels of communication. Discourse Structures and Social Cognition
This thesis draws on critical discourse analysis (CDA) as an approach to discourse analysis. CDA is reviewed with a focus on its methodological openness. T. A. Van Dijk's sociocognitive approach is combined with Corpus Linguistics. Lexicalisation, repetition, and nominalisation are analysed in a corpus compiled to cover David Cameron's speeches between 2005 and 2014. The interpretation of the findings taking into account the context structure of the corpus and features of continuity and change in the use of the three discourse structures analysed unveils Cameron's strategies in shaping 'Our' political identity and ideology. The resulting social representations reveal the aspects that define the Conservatives and the British Conservative Party under modern compassionate Conservatism. The conclusions reached relate to this thesis aim, scope, and the analysis of the selected discourse structures in the compiled corpus. This study has its limitations and possible implications for further research.

Expression of politeness semantics in modern Russian
This paper attempts to describe the semantics of politeness and the totality of means of its implementation in modern Russian. The approach is based on the hypothesis of the existence in the grammatical system of the Russian language of functional and semantic category of politeness, the plan of content of which consists of semantic components of polite communication (respect, benevolence, parity, etc.), and the plan of expression is made up of multi-level (morphological, syntactic, vocabulary, lexical, combinatorial) language means, serving for representation of the specified meaning. In terms of structure, the category under consideration is a field formed by two main microfields: the microfield of courtesy in situations of persuasive character and the microfield of courtesy in situations of non-intrusive character. The paper describes the semantic content of courtesy and the means of expressing it in situations of request, advice, suggestion, apology, comfort, gratitude, greeting. The work will be of interest to specialists-philologists, students, postgraduates, as well as anyone who is interested in the problems of the Russian language.

"Ceremonies of Oblivion", based on the protagonist's quest to find out the identity of the narrator who tells him a story, presents a complex compositional procedure which removes the referential character of personal pronouns, making it difficult to identify narrators and characters. This difficulty in identification corresponds to an indifferentiation between temporalities and memories, with which the protagonist is confronted in his quest to remember his own father and, consequently, to affirm himself. The relationship with the father is approached from the point of view of Freudian psychoanalysis, unfolding into a reflection on the relationship with violent and repressive authority, a theme that also applies to the experience of authoritarian governments, as was the case in the Brazilian context in which the author lived. As a result, this work proposes a reflection on the meaning of authority, acquired through wisdom, a characteristic aspect of the traditional narrator, according to Walter Benjamin. Ultimately, it aims to lead to reflection on the place of subjectivity in contemporary times.
