Great memories are without a doubt one of our most cherished assets in life. All you have to do is call them up. Go to that marvelous filing cabinet in the recesses of your mind and retrieve them when you want them. Your memories will be there to make a gray day bright or take you on the bounding main. They can take you to a romantic tryst. Memories can recall a soothing rain, and they can do almost anything to make your life complete. They are free. All you have to do is call upon them and tell them where to meet you.Over the years, my fabulous wife Judy has encouraged me to write a book about my eventful life. I really didn't want to do that. I don't consider myself to be an author. That said, I have written beaucoups of love letters, love notes, poems, and stories to Judy, telling her how much I love her and how much she means to me. I do this almost every day of my life with her.One day, Corinne Owen, my second oldest granddaughter, called me and said, "BoBo, I need to talk to you about something very important." Limerosity
Limerosity is an anapestic journey, a collection of limericks inspired by well-known figures in the (mostly) western literary canon. From the Author: A limerick is a verse form-five lines of generally iambic or anapestic verse, with a rhyme scheme of AABBA. The origin of the limerick is a bit of a mystery, though it may be fairly recent as verse forms go. The form seems to have crystallized with Edward Lear and W. S. Gilbert in the Nineteenth century.I have modified the standard form a bit, eliminating punctuation and right justifying the lines. I think of the limerick as a verse form, not a poem. Verse has a beginning and an ending, and leads the reader to a conclusion. A poem does not. Limericks, and this may be one of the secrets to their popularity over the years, are a perfect expression of comic construction. So, as you read these limericks, possibly you may discover some literary intention. But mostly I hope you uncover a few smiles.

Let's get one thing straight. I'm not. I'm out and proud. When I'm out and it's raining I carry an umbrella. I used to be in but I hate the smell of mothballs. My closet was huge, complete with a foyer, turnstile, a few dead bolts, and a burglar alarm that had to be deactivated before I could even touch the door handle. And then there was the storm door. It wasn't until I had lived and slept with a woman for a year that it occurred to me to ask, "Do you think we're lesbians?" By the way, never come out to your father in a moving vehicle. Now I've written a book. It's not as easy as it looks. One night, I was working late on my computer when a little message came up on the screen, "You are almost out of memory." Here are my thoughts and observations on everything from gay marriage (Mad Vow Disease) to my morbid fear of mascots (with the exception of the San Diego Chicken). That's all I'm going to say because I don't want to spoil it for you. That's a job for Jesse Helms.
