Planar antennas and miniaturization techniques
In this book, in order to miniaturize planar antennas, we have used the following techniques: the first technique consists in loading a rectangular dielectric resonator antenna (ARDR) with a BST material of very high dielectric permittivity, and we are interested in the modeling and electromagnetic analysis of the antenna before and after stacking with this material. The proposed antenna operates around 2.31 GHz and provides an impedance bandwidth of 20 MHz. The second miniaturization technique used is the ground plane defect structure (GDS), where two microstrip antennas have been fabricated; the first antenna has a narrow bandwidth (272 MHz), while the second, which has a smaller patch area and an overall size of 10 ? 6 mm簡, has a wide bandwidth (greater than 1 GHz). To validate the numerical results, measurements were carried out, with satisfactory results. The three projects discussed clearly demonstrate the importance of these two techniques in the miniaturization of planar antennas.

Thermal design, simulation, and sensing of electronic products
Thermal design refers to the process of fully cooling electronic equipment through relevant technical means to meet the requirements of reliability and service life. Thermal design should be carried out at the same time as electrical design, structural design, and reliability design, and when there is a contradiction, a trade-off analysis should be carried out and a compromise should be solved. Engaged in thermal design work, you should master the basic knowledge of heat, fluid mechanics, etc., and put forward a reasonable thermal design scheme based on practical work experience. The heat dissipated by the device determines the temperature rise and, therefore, the temperature of any given structure; Heat is transferred by thermal conduction, convection, and radiation, and the heat transferred in each form is inversely proportional to its thermal resistance; Heat, thermal resistance, and temperature are important parameters in thermal design; All cooling systems should be the simplest and most economical, suitable for specific electrical and mechanical, and environmental conditions, while meeting reliability requirements.

The Smart Power Strip
Most electrical devices at homes draw power even when they are not running. This is especially true with televisions, audio receivers and DVD players in a home theater system. Using an ordinary power strip for all these devices will allow this vampire power loss with the user not even knowing about it. I plan on building a power strip which will not only suppress power surges but will actually allow the user to monitor the amount of power being used, even if the devices are turned off. Also, in Auto Power Save Mode, the power strip will automatically turn off idle devices. The objective for this project is to develop an economical power strip that will not only protect against transient voltage surges but also end up paying for itself by reducing a user's electrical bill.

Application of Sound Waves and Shock Waves
Acoustics, initiated by considering the mathematical aspects of speech, topics related to speech and musical instruments, is widely developed today in various fields, including electroacoustics, architectural acoustics, ultrasound, hydroacoustic and audio information processing, as well as physical acoustics, which study the fundamental theory of sound wave generation and propagation in solid, liquid, gas, etc. Localization is the most popular field of acoustic research. Several studies to determine the position have attracted much attention from many engineers. In particular, many positioning systems have been developed with increasing research to determine the position of static sound sources using sound and shock waves. These positioning systems are used as an indispensable tool for accurate and rapid determination of the position of the source. The sound wave used in positioning propagates from the source to the sound velocity, and the shock wave occurs only when the aircraft moves above the sound velocity. Although studies have been carried out in part to determine the position of these sound waves and shock waves, a comprehensive review of this has not yet been published.

Peak to Average Power Ratio Reduction for Wavelet Packet Modulation
Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) reduction is a critical topic in communication systems, especially for those utilizing multi-carrier modulation schemes like Wavelet Packet Modulation (WPM). The high PAPR in such systems can lead to inefficiencies in power amplifiers, as amplifiers need to accommodate the peaks, which wastes energy and degrades performance due to non-linearities.In this research we have investigated two PAPR Reduction techniques namely, Selective Mapping (SLM) and Partial Transmit Sequences (PTS). Selective Mapping (SLM) technique generates multiple candidate signals by applying different phase sequences to the original signal. The signal with the lowest PAPR is selected for transmission. Although effective, it requires extra signaling overhead to transmit the selected phase sequence. Partial Transmit Sequences (PTS) divides the input signal into disjoint sub-blocks, and the phases of each sub-block are optimized to reduce PAPR. While PTS is more computationally intensive, it can significantly reduce PAPR without distorting the signal.
Optical Power Communication
Communication may be broadly defined as the transfer of information from one point to another. When the information is to be conveyed over any distance a communication system is usually required.Within a communication system the information transfer is frequently achieved by superimposing or modulating the information onto an electromagnetic wave which acts as a carrier for the information signal. This modulated carrier is then trans- mitted to the required destination where it is received and the original information signal is obtained by demodulation.Sophisticated techniques have been developed for this process using electromagnetic carrier waves operating at radio frequencies as well as microwave and millimeter wave frequencies. However, 'communication' may also be achieved using an electromagnetic carrier which is selected from the optical range of frequencies.

Device modelling and characterisation of Hybrid devices
In low-power-high-speed electronic circuits, devices with steeper characteristics are required.
