Perfect Secrecy in Iot
Perfectly-secure cryptography is a branch of information-theoretic cryptography. A perfectly-secure cryptosystem guarantees that the malicious third party cannot guess anything regarding the plain text or the key, even in the case of full access to the cipher text. Despite this advantage, there are only a few real-world implementations of perfect secrecy due to some well-known limitations. Any simple, straightforward modeling can pave the way for further advancements in the implementation, especially in environments with time and resource constraints such as IoT. This book takes one step towards this goal via presenting a hybrid combinatorial-Boolean model for perfectly-secure cryptography in IoT. In this book, we first present an introduction to information-theoretic cryptography as well as perfect secrecy and its real-world implementations. Then we take a systematic approach to highlight information-theoretic cryptography as a convergence point for existing trends in research on cryptography in IoT. Then we investigate combinatorial and Boolean cryptography and show how they are seen almost everywhere in the ecosystem and the life cycle of information-theoretic IoT cryptography. We finally model perfect secrecy in IoT using Boolean functions, and map the Boolean functions to simple, well-studied combinatorial designs like Latin squares. This book is organized in two parts. The first part studie s information-theoretic cryptography and the promise it holds for cryptography in IoT. The second part separately discusses combinatorial and Boolean cryptography, and then presents the hybrid combinatorial-Boolean model for perfect secrecy in IoT.

Secure Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast Systems
This book proposes secure schemes to address security challenges in secure automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast systems (ADS-B) from five different angles. First, the authors examine encryption schemes applied to the ADS-B environment for protecting messages confidentiality. Second, they propose an ADS-B broadcast authentication scheme with batch verification by employing an identity-based signature. Third, they present ADS-B broadcast authentication scheme based on a digital signature with message recovery, which provides a feature that the message is recoverable from the signature. Fourth, they propose a new cryptographic solution to ADS-B security. Finally, they propose an accurate and efficient cognitive aircraft location verification scheme preserving aircraft location privacy by utilizing a grid-based k-nearest neighbor algorithm. The Marconi Beam Wireless Stations Of Somerset
'The Marconi Beam Wireless Stations of Somerset' is a history of the county's two main high-frequency point-to-point receiving stations located at Bridgwater and Somerton. The Bridgwater station was only active for around 15 years, whilst the Somerton station continued in its role in one form or another until 2000. Details of their 'sister' transmitting stations at Bodmin and Dorchester are also included, as well as a fascinating history of the Chedzoy Experimental Radiotelephone Station, near Bridgwater. Intelligent Reflecting Surface for B5g/6g Wireless Networks
This book provides comprehensive insights into the theory, models, and unique characteristics of intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) and its appealing applications in wireless information and power transmission for B5G/6G. It is organized as follows: Chapter 1 gives an overview of the fundamentals of IRS, including the signal and channel models of IRS, its hardware architecture, advantages and practical constraints. Chapter 2, 3 and 4 focus on how to optimize the joint design of active and passive beamforming for three types of IRS-aided wireless information/energy transmission systems, namely IRS-aided power transfer (WPT), IRS-aided simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) and IRS-aided wireless powered communication networks (WPCN). Chapter 2 specifically presents a general framework design for IRS-aided WPT systems from the perspectives of energy beamforming design and channel estimation, while the dynamic IRS beamforming design is also discussed. Chapter 3 thoroughly studies the IRS-aided SWIPT for achieving better R-E trade-off, wherein two different designs based on weighted sum-power maximization at energy users (EUs) and under individual quality-of-service (QoS), requirements at both information users (IUs) and EUs are investigated. Chapter 4 presents three paradigms of IRS-aided WPCN, i.e., IRS-aided half-duplex (HD) WPCN, IRS-aided full-duplex (FD) WCPN and IRS-aided multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) FD WPCN. The authors present some related emerging topics, e.g., active IRS aided wireless communications and IRS-aided unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communications in chapter 5. This book targets postgraduate students studying electrical engineering and computer science, and can be used as a secondary textbook.
