The Impact of Technology Transfer for Micro and Small Enterprises
Academic Paper from the year 2022 in the subject Communications - Technical Communication, language: English, abstract: The goal of this action research was to see how technology transfer from Misrak Polytechnic College affected small-scale businesses. Based on this, the researcher concentrated on transferred technology in the academic years 2012 and 2013 E.C. and employed a survey methodology to achieve the study's goal. A total of 57 trainers and 8 technology team members were chosen for this research to transfer and facilitate technology. From them 81.5% were male and 18.5% female. In addition, 57 firms were chosen to acquire technology from trainers. Data was collected through questionnaires and observation. To emphasize the link and variance of the variables, the data collected through the questionnaire was analyzed using frequency %, mean and standard deviation. To complement the quantitative statistics, the information gathered through open ended questionnaires was evaluated qualitatively. The findings suggest that trainers' problem-solving methods on technology transfer are based on their knowledge of how to deal with technology. Although the trainers have a basic understanding of technology, the results show that additional understanding is required. Aside from that, the findings examine knowledge and skills in value chain analysis. The mean value was 3.38 and the standard deviation was computed as 1.07, which is larger than one, implying that the data was spread out over a wide range of values, implying that respondents had a variety of alternatives when it came to this particular variable. There are no widespread surveys on the college's suitability for technology development and transfer. In the previous two years, 85.2 percent of trainers produced and transmitted technology for small businesses, but no single technology has been duplicated or made available to the general public by SMEs. Clustering Parameters for Multispectral Satellite Image Analysis
Clustering parameters for multispectral satellite image analysis is a method used in image processing and remote sensing to extract useful information from satellite images. Clustering is an unsupervised learning technique that groups similar pixels together based on their spectral and spatial characteristics.The process of clustering in multispectral satellite image analysis involves using various parameters to extract relevant features and reduce the dimensionality of the data. Spectral information, such as the reflectance values of different spectral bands, is used to group similar pixels together. Spatial information, such as the location and shape of the clusters, is also considered.Different clustering algorithms can be used, such as K-means, Expectation-Maximization, hierarchical clustering, density-based clustering, and spectral-spatial clustering. The choice of algorithm and parameters will depend on the specific application and the desired level of accuracy for the image segmentation and classification.To evaluate the performance of the clustering, various validation metrics can be used, such as the confusion matrix, overall accuracy, F1-score, Jaccard similarity coefficient, and Kappa coefficient. Images are analyzed and pro- cessed to help single users, professional bodies, and government organizations. In today's world, remotely sensed multispectral images processing is a major research area used to deal with problems such as landuse-landcover, fire detection, crop es- timation, and flood prediction to name a few, which greatly impact the economic and environmental concerns, and the techniques developed through this technol- ogy allows many real-life applications with high social value [CVTGC]11].Classification is the most common operation used to analyze these multispec- tral images. The critical objective of the image classification technique is to group all pixel data of an image into land cover classes or thematic maps automatically [JL05]. In general, multispectral images pixels have an inherent spectral pattern which is the numerical basis for the classification of multispectral images i.e. the inherent spectral reflectance and emittance properties of the electromagnetic spec- trum are indexed with different combinations of Digital Numbers in the image torecognize various types of features or objects. Spectral pattern recognition is a classification procedure that performs automated landcover classification with the help of pixel-by-pixel spectral information. Remote sensing is one of the efficient ways to procure multispectral images. Re- mote sensing is a procedure to acquire data from any distance without physically interacting with objects. Remote sensing can be made possible with the help of satellites or aircrafts which have sensors mounted on them to capture electromag- netic radiation scattered or emitted from the Earth's surface.
Energy Efficient Object Tracking using Wireless Sensor Network
Progress in technology has led to the setting of new records in every area, whether it isrelated to health, defense, education, or industry. If we look into technology andengineering, it is developing in each sector and significantly impacted development. In thesame way, we can see growth in the communication field, too, which has many applicationssuch as security and surveillance, environmental monitoring, industrial applications, transportation & logistics, smart buildings, smart grids & energy control systems, healthcare, as well as a wireless sensor network. A wireless sensor is a network of sensorsconnected wirelessly. This technology is beneficial as it does not require any wires to belaid for communication, and also, there is no strict rule for deploying sensors. The sensorscan be deployed in any area which has to be sensed through three main types: It can eitherbe 1) uneven sensor deployment, 2) trigonous sensor deployment, and 3) quadrangle sensordeployment. It has been observed that this technology requires some development, so workneeds to be done to improve its credibility. So before starting, it is to be known in what wayit requires improvement; to find this, an extensive study of the past works is needed. We allknow power is the heart of every technology nowadays; after losing the whole control, technology shuts down; similarly, sensors in a wireless sensor network are battery operatedas battery discharged sensor or nodes becomes dead or does not remain a part of the system.So, to make the sensor battery last longer, work towards this is needed, and also, it isrequired to find where the network uses most of the energy and how it can be saved. Thispreliminary plan then becomes the aim of this thesis. While studying past works, it is foundthat mainly energy is consumed while sending the data to the base station; if each sensorcommunicates with the base station for sharing data, then sensors' battery drains, and thenetwork becomes dead early. After this, a way is needed that all sensors do not send data;only one sensor sends data after taking it from other sensors, then clustering came intoexistence. In a wireless sensor network (WSN), clustering is a set of nodes in one of thenodes becoming a cluster head. The cluster head selects three-nodes that localize therunning object and compute the information and forward it the cluster head. Cluster headsthe information forwards to the sink node or base station .To incorporate clustering LEACH is introduced, LEACH (Low Energy Adaptive Cluster Hierarchy) is the essential work done in this direction. It is the best way of energy conservation by clustering . In this book, the work done in the past will be compared with the proposed algorithm. This gives thebasic concept or algorithm for reducing energy consumption., it is used in tracking amoving object by enhancing it and introducing a few more algorithms to increase thenetwork's lifetime during the tracking of moving objects. Before going deep into thetechnology, it is required to know a few more about unwired sensor networks. Software Defined Radio with Zynq Ultrascale＋ RFSoC
This book introduces Zynq Ultrascale+ RFSoC, a technology that brings real, single-chip, Software Defined Radio (SDR) to the marketplace. RFSoC devices are the first adaptive SoCs (Systems-on-Chip) to monolithically integrate multiple RF signal chains along with Arm application and real-time, multicore processors and programmable logic. By eliminating the need for dozens of discrete devices, RFSoC chips offer unprecedented flexibility and reduced power consumption when compared to alternative, multi-component solutions. RFSoC is not so much a radio on a chip, but almost an entire base station on a chip!
