Determinants of accounting students' performance
Of the 772 accounting courses evaluated by ENADE/2006, only six obtained the highest score. The central question of this investigation is to identify some variables that determine the performance of Accounting courses in the aforementioned exam. The empirical-analytical methodology used was multivariate regression analysis, with the aim of identifying the relationship between student performance and socio-economic status. To this end, course concepts were used, as well as socio-economic information obtained from the database of the National Institute for Studies and Research An穩sio Teixeira (Inep). The results showed that the student's level of education prior to entering a higher education institution is the variable with the greatest influence on course performance. Next, in descending order, are the father's schooling, personal effort on the course and family income as the most influential variables in the econometric model developed. On the other hand, the variable that captures the type of institution the student attended in high school was not very significant.

The true investor, who focuses on interest return but is prepared to buy cheap and sell high, may acquire his favorite company at a price that yields 6% or sell at a price that yields 4%. Interest returns are irrelevant to the speculator. He wants to acquire and short-sell before prices rise and fall. "He would purchase at the peak of a major surge or at any other time if prices climb further." Investors sell their investments when the market rises and they reach their limit.

Why is it that 24% of those 2% who landed 1 to 10 years prior to the Census and 26% of those 2% who landed 11 to 20 years prior to the Census were in low income 20 years later? Along the way this book has evolved into a financial planning playbook for immigrants. We used the methods in this book to grow our wealth and lay the foundation of building sustainable wealth for our family. Now, as we look back at our remarkable journey and how our Mortgage Break has put us back on a pedestal of reaching financial freedom earlier than we anticipated, we think it will be selfish of us to not share the same idea with other Canadians.
