Beyond Compliance

2026/03/02 出版

In many organizations, safety leadership has traditionally focused on compliance, control, and enforcement ensuring rules are followed, and risks are minimized. Yet, the most sustainable safety cultures are not built on compliance alone; they are driven by trust, engagement, and shared ownership. "Beyond Compliance: How Coaching Elevates Safety Leadership" explores how coaching principles can transform the way leaders influence safety behavior and culture. It shows how moving from a directive approach to a coaching-based leadership style fosters intrinsic motivation, accountability, and genuine care for people's well-being. Drawing on real-world lessons from the energy and industrial sectors, this book provides a practical roadmap for leaders, HSE professionals, and organizations ready to move beyond compliance. Instead of acting as rule enforcers, readers will learn how to become safety culture enablers, creating workplaces where safety is embraced as a personal value, not just a procedural requirement. With actionable strategies and vivid case studies, it shows how to cultivate environments where people feel ownership of safety, driving lasting change, and stronger performance.

Winning the Moments That Matter

Papa,Nguer  著
Papawa Press 出版
2026/03/02 出版

Most sales engineering books teach you frameworks. This one drops you into the rooms where deals are won and lost-and shows you what actually happens when technical expertise meets business pressure.Winning the Moments That Matter follows sales engineers through high-stakes demos that derail, discovery calls that miss the mark, and executive presentations where the wrong word costs millions. Each chapter is built around a real scenario: the SE who lost a deal by leading with features instead of outcomes, the team that rescued a stalled opportunity by translating technical capability into financial language the CFO could act on, the new hire who closed a CTO by asking the one question nobody else thought to ask.Author Paul Nguer distills two decades of sales engineering experience into seven principles that separate the SEs who participate in deals from the ones who drive them. You'll learn to communicate in outcomes rather than specifications, build solutions collaboratively instead of presenting them, translate technical value into financial impact, identify and equip the real decision-makers, earn trust through transparency about what your product cannot do, maintain relationships long after the contract is signed, and master the discipline of brilliant simplicity. This is not a textbook. It's a field guide written by someone who has sat in the rooms he describes-and it reads like one. Direct, specific, and built for practitioners who want to stop being the demo person and start being the reason the deal closes.

The Look of Success

2026/02/16 出版

The Look of Success: Redefining Achievement, Identity, and Fulfillment on Your Own Terms challenges conventional ideas about what it means to succeed in today's professional and personal landscape. For decades, success has been framed as a destination defined by productivity, status, income, or recognition. Yet many high-achieving individuals find that reaching these milestones does not bring the fulfillment they expected. Instead, it creates a sense of misalignment-the realization that the life they have built no longer reflects who they are becoming. In this reflective, research-informed work, Dr. Karissa Thomas reframes success not as something to chase or perform, but as an evolving alignment between identity, values, and lived experience. Drawing on leadership insight, adult identity development, and emotionally intelligent reflection, the book explores how cultural expectations, inherited narratives, and professional conditioning shape how success is defined and pursued.Rather than offering formulas or surface-level motivation, The Look of Success invites readers to examine the internal dimensions of achievement. Through grounded insight and reflective prompts, readers are guided to distinguish external performance from internal fulfillment, recognize where ambition has become misaligned, and redefine success in ways that support integrity, clarity, and long-term well-being.Written for professionals, leaders, students, and individuals navigating periods of transition or recalibration, this book speaks to those who have succeeded by conventional standards yet sense there is more. It offers a framework for conscious self-definition-one that allows success to be revisited, refined, and lived intentionally as life and priorities evolve. The Look of Success contributes to contemporary conversations on leadership, identity, and sustainable achievement by reframing success as something to be defined and inhabited, rather than measured or proven.

The Unforgettable You

Kinga,Bali  著
2026/01/25 出版

You did everything right, and you're still invisible. This is the playbook for being seen, respected, and unforgettable. The Unforgettable You is not another personal branding cheerleader. It's a self-coaching reset for professionals who've followed the rules, delivered results, and still get overlooked in rooms where decisions are made. Through 21 clarity-building chapters, you'll dismantle the quiet scripts that keep smart people small: that you need to be louder to be credible, that showing your work is bragging, that you'll be chosen if you just keep your head down and put the work in. You'll learn how to position your work, voice, and value in a way that builds recognition and opens the right doors, online, in interviews, and inside systems that filter people out before they're even seen. This is not a mindset book. It combines neuroscience, narrative strategy, and lived experience from years of helping others rebuild after layoffs, transitions, and systemic underestimation. It's written for fresh starters, mid-career relaunchers, and overlooked experts, especially those who don't want to fake extroversion or build a personal brand empire. This is an introvert-friendly, neurodiverse-aware, research-backed alternative to shouting. This is how you stop shrinking and start being remembered.Access the related free Career Prompt VAULT series at: www.theunforgettable.me/coursesWritten by Kinga Bali, a visibility architect and digital polymath, this book emerges from both research and lived experience. What began as an MBA thesis on executive presence, reputation management and positioning evolved into a body of work shaped by years of guiding others through career pivots, layoffs, and underrecognition. Kinga's own journey, from under-seen contributor to Top Voice, university lecturer, and author, quietly informs every chapter, offering not a system to follow, but a standard to grow into. This is the book that ends up stolen, or coffee-stained, marked, dog-eared, borrowed, left in your bag, because it works. It lives and brews with you. Again. And again.

Navigating Leadership In Chaos

Mohd,Rashid  著
2026/01/18 出版

The purpose of this study was to explore leader perception of leadership characteristics during times of chaotic change, like COVID-19. To explore this, I asked "What are leaders' perceptions of effective leadership characteristics in times of chaotic change?" This study was grounded in the constructs of Narcissistic Leadership, ServantLeadership, and used Q-Sort methodology. Participants were asked to sort 44 servant and Narcissistic Leadership characteristics from most effective to least, within the context of the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic. Results were analyzed and a three-factor solution emerged. This study showed that not only do leaders perceive both Servant and Narcissistic Leadership characteristics to be effective during times of chaotic change, but also that there are different styles of leadership that can be effective in the context of chaotic change events like the COVID-19 pandemic.

Game Theory For Everyday Life

Jaxbird LLC 出版
2026/01/16 出版

GAME THEORY FOR EVERYDAY LIFE Why do you always lose arguments even when you're right? Why do your threats to your kids never work? Why did you feel like you lost in your last salary negotiation? The answer: you're playing a game whose rules you don't know. This is the practical beginner's guide to game theory-no formulas, no graphs, no academic jargon. Just actionable strategies you can use starting today in negotiations, relationships, parenting, teamwork, and financial decisions. Game theory isn't about casinos or equations. It's the science of making better decisions when your outcome depends on what others decide. And you use it every day without knowing it: when negotiating your salary, arguing with your partner, choosing lanes in traffic. Inside, you'll discover why distrust destroys work teams and how to break the cycle, how to "anchor" a negotiation to win before it starts, and what to do when no one wants to give in first during an argument. You'll learn why your punishment threats fail and how to design incentives that actually work, how to stop sabotaging your future self and beat procrastination, and why trying to "win" in your marriage makes you lose long-term. Whether you want to understand game theory without studying economics, you're looking for practical tools rather than abstract theory, or you're simply frustrated by negotiations where you feel you lose, this book connects concepts like Nash equilibrium, the prisoner's dilemma, and negotiation theory to your real life. No prior knowledge required. The book includes 30 chapters plus 2 practical appendices covering the 10 most useful games and the cognitive biases that sabotage your decisions. Perfect for readers of "Thinking, Fast and Slow," "Getting to Yes," "Predictably Irrational," and anyone interested in behavioral economics, decision-making, or practical psychology.

Too Good to Get Hired

Niche Press 出版
2026/01/16 出版

This isn't a book about job searching. It's a survival guide for a system that punishes overqualified job candidates. If you're a professional over 40 - especially over 50 or 60 - you know the job market that once rewarded your experience now penalizes you for it. You've been told you're too experienced, too senior, too educated, or not the right fit. Translation: you're too good to get hired. Today's hiring system is run by algorithms and overseen by young hiring managers who don't want to hire anyone who reminds them of their mom or dad. They don't want to be outshined. Instead, they want safe, compliant, and cheap. But you're not done. You're not obsolete. You just need to understand the rules of how the modern employment system really works and how to win inside it. Too Good to Get Hired decodes the AI filters, biases, and fears that keep the most qualified people unemployed and provides a clear roadmap for turning your experience into an asset and not a liability. You don't need to work harder or dumb yourself down. You just need to reposition yourself. Because it only takes one yes to get into the right job for you

You will hire with care-**hiring for culture fit not clones**-and run a monthly **culture audit dashboard** to spot drift early and keep standards high. Built for operators, not orators, this is a practical **corporate culture playbook** for any **small team culture** that wants to feel big on purpose. This is for founders, leads, and team members who want less noise and more output.
