The Super Organisation Secret
Adrian Courtenay's The Super Organisation Secret: A Blueprint for Compounding Equity Returns reimagines how investors and business leaders should perceive and evaluate corporations. Drawing from evolutionary biology and cognitive psychology Courtenay, an Oxford-educated biologist and hedge fund manager, exposes why our hunter-gatherer brains systematically misread complex organisations. His five pillars-exceptional leadership, scale beyond individual capacity, specialised division of labour, efficient coordination, and nonlinear advantages-offer a blueprint for identifying extraordinary companies before markets recognise them. In an era where AI commoditises conventional analysis, Courtenay demonstrates why uniquely human traits-contrarian thinking, emotional resonance, and intellectual courage-remain irreplaceable. The Super Organisation Secret is your blueprint for seeing beyond cognitive defaults to understand how value is truly created.

Disruptive Leadership
Companies worldwide are striving to transform their industries through innovative products and services. Becoming a disruptive organization, however, is easier said than done. Even more difficult is being a company that continually disrupts. Is it possible to discern a code for how companies can achieve this? In this highly readable and engaging book, a disruptive leadership framework is proposed in which caring deeply is placed at the center of the model. Apple is used as the leading example. By turning care into a focal point, a triphasic model is proposed that moves from the personal sphere (individual), to the corporate arena (organizational), and then to the global stage (impact). Nine key factors are identified along this path for how companies can achieve organizational excellence. This second edition updates all the facts, data, and history around Apple since the first edition and calls out how its revolution of care continues to not only validate its success but astound with its seemingly unfettered upside. Its ability to disrupt seems to have no limits, thus challenging business leaders, present and future, to incorporate the DNA of care as they build and scale businesses. In addition to the previously profiled companies such as Nike, IKEA, 3M, and Starbucks, new case studies including Uniqlo, Alibaba, On Running, 7-Eleven, and Costco are presented to supplement Apple's story.Features: A new organizational model is given for interpreting Apple's success. Nine principles of organizational excellence are discerned from this new model. Promotes caring deeply as a focal point for approaching disruptive leadership. New corporate profiles include Uniqlo, Alibaba, On Running, 7-Eleven, and Costco. Application questions and assignments are included for each chapter, making it an ideal training tool for leadership development and personal application.

The Action Officer's Guide to Developing a Negotiation Skill Set
A shortfall has been discovered in the deliberate development of Airmen. New Pentagon Action Officer's (AOs) quickly find themselves in need of a negotiations skill set as they are thrust into the "beltway" environment, where one building contains 20,000+ staff officers all trying to handle their hot issues. This is especially vital in an era of dwindling defense budgets. Although the USAF has begun to recognize the need for this training and (SAF/GCD and A1D) recently created the Air Force Negotiations Center of Excellence and the "Institutional Competencies List." These two efforts are a big leap forward, but will require time to fully integrate into the AF professional development system. This time gap until full incorporation leaves a generation of military officers without some requisite negotiation skills. To fill this critical skills void, a primer was developed. It presents the critical, basic steps to aid new AOs in fulfilling their duties. First, it must be clear that negotiation is not a 4 letter word. Negotiations are, in fact, the path to agreement on an issue where all parties involved can choose to either say "no," or choose to develop a mutually beneficial resolution. Developing the negotiating skill set requires the AO to determine who they are. Negotiating predispositions may be revealed through assessment tools, such as the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument or with other tools such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Once personal preferences are established, the next step is learning to communicate to influence. This ability involves both effective listening and speaking skills which includes the ability to frame and re-frame a discussion as well as detect and respond to non-verbal communications. The final step to developing the tools required for a negotiation skill set is to understand the military conflict handling mode. This is a unique combination of assertiveness andcooperativeness. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it. Gender and Negotiation
The original premise of this research paper was to look at patterns of male dominance inherent in today's society repeatedly reproducing themselves to undermine a woman's seat at the negotiations table. After a thorough review of multiple resources including books on negotiation, women and leadership, women and negotiation, and an online review of negotiation gender research and gender stereotypes, my findings took a different turn. In order to answer how a woman can get to the negotiations table, I had to find out why she was having trouble getting there in the first place. It is the implications of everyday stereotypes that affect women's roles in negotiations. These stereotypes can be loosely organized into three major categories: opinions of acceptable workplace behavior and femininity, suitable articulation, and societal roles. These assumptions cause a cyclical pattern of diminished expectations of women in the workforce and particularly in negotiations. This paper will provide a background on gender in negotiations, the negotiation style preferred today, and stereotypes. It will also discuss each of the three categories of these stereotypes and their implications and offer solutions to overcoming these stereotypes. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
