Unitary Method
A myth roams about in the arena of educational institutions, that the pupils fear Mathematics as a subject. Even, the subject teachers rest of pure Mathematics, vaguely believe that learning Mathematics is a difficult job which leads a student to be afraid of the subject. This book is a humble effort to find out some remedials by which our dear pupils can be able to overcome the age old so called "Fear" myth in learning Mathematics. Besides this, the author is also presenting some "Technical Know How" in solving mathematical problems practically, which he faces as a secondary level school teacher day in and day out. There are easy going, genial and tolerant discussions in this book about the problems on major concept 'Unitary Method' which have been arising in the syllabi of W.B.B.S.E. as well as C.I.S.C.E. Education, Disability and Armed Conflict
This qualitative study set out to gain insight into how children with disabilities were educated in the conflict setting of Uganda and how it could be improved. It used a critical, constructivist and grounded methodology to generate data. There were four main findings. First, it revealed the nature and extent of the challenges faced by all children living in conflict settings: forced displacement, dehumanisation, rampant poverty and weakened leadership. Second, it discovered that disabled people experienced rejection in their communities and invisibility in the provision of services. Whilst these practices prevailed in non-conflict situations, they were intensified in conflict settings and were counter to the African beliefs on what it meant to be human and live in a community. Third, education in Uganda was likened to disabled people and considered 'crippled' because of demotivated teachers, disengaged parents, ailing infrastructure and decreasing quality. Fourth and last, participants had visions of educational change which involved modifying it and transforming it into an education that develops conscience, reinforces hope and widens opportunities.
Experiencing executive coaching
Executive coaching is an emerging occupation and field which despite its popularity remains neither clearly defined nor well understood both in theory and in practice. This research expands the limited understanding of executive coaching through its interpretation of coaching literature and exploration of the coaching experiences of two key parties in the coaching relationship: client executives and executive coaches. The emergent model: Creating spaces for reinvention through executive coaching, highlights that at the core of the executive coaching experience is the co-creation of a coaching relationship space for self-reflection and experiential learning by a client executive that is facilitated by an executive coach. Executive coaching is viewed as optimal when it assists clients to develop the capability to become their own self-coach and continue their lifelong journey of learning from experience. The value of phenomenological research in executive coaching is illustrated. The model presented in this book is of value to the executive coaching industry, trainers and educators and individuals and organisations seeking to understand and maximise coaching experiences.
Deep Learning for Healthcare
Deep learning, a rapidly advancing branch of artificial intelligence (AI), is revolutionizing the landscape of healthcare by enabling machines to perform complex tasks such as pattern recognition, classification, and prediction with unprecedented accuracy. This capability has made it a powerful tool in solving some of the most intricate problems in healthcare.Despite the challenges surrounding data privacy, model interpretability, and regulatory compliance, the benefits of deep learning in healthcare are profound. It streamlines clinical workflows, reduces diagnostic delays, supports evidence-based decisions, and improves the overall quality of care. As research continues to evolve, deep learning holds immense promise in addressing some of the most pressing challenges in global health-ranging from early disease detection and chronic illness management to outbreak prediction and drug discovery.
Grid Integration Of Renewables
The transition to clean, sustainable energy is one of the defining challenges and opportunities of our time. Around the world, renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydro, and biomass are transforming how electricity is generated and consumed. These technologies promise a future with reduced carbon emissions, lower dependence on fossil fuels, and improved environmental health. Yet, as the share of renewables in the energy mix continues to grow, a critical question arises: how can these resources be effectively and reliably integrated into our existing power grids?Power grids were originally designed for centralized, controllable generation from fossil-fuel-based power plants. In contrast, renewable energy is often decentralized and variable its output depends on weather, time of day, and seasonal patterns. This variability can lead to imbalances between electricity supply and demand, posing challenges for grid stability and reliability. Additionally, many renewable systems are connected at the distribution level, requiring changes to how the grid is monitored, managed, and upgraded.

"A game-changer for workplace dynamics" --Eve Rodsky, New York Times bestselling author of Fair PlayThe author of The Memo helps you discover what you need to navigate every workplace communication challenge with confidence. We are living in a world of broken trust, especially in the workplace. Employees have heard too many empty promises and are unmotivated. Managers are scrambling to keep eyes on direct reports in demanding environments. Nobody knows how to talk to one another. Trust is the central pillar of any functioning workplace. But without it too many of us are unhappy, fed up, and ready to walk out the door. Minda Harts knows from years of experience as a highly sought-after workplace consultant how a lack of trust between colleagues, managers, and executive leaders is bad for business and our own professional well-being. That's where the seven workplace trust languages come into play. Earning trust is different for every one of us. Some respond well to verbal affirmations of their contributions, while others need visibility to see how business decisions are made. By understanding the seven languages of trust--transparency, security, demonstration, feedback, acknowledgment, sensitivity, and follow-through--we can all learn to navigate conflict, be more productive, and communicate more effectively. In Talk to Me Nice, you'll learn what workplace trust languages work for you and how to show colleagues, managers, and direct reports that they are valued. When we're talking one another's languages, we can rebuild a more equitable, sustainable, and profitable workplace that works for us all.
