The woman's young son had the intention of going shopping alone to the store next door and buying a small amount of something. Living in Paris, his mother was hesitant to allow such a thing. He kept asking, and eventually she agreed. She never saw her son again. After losing him, she claimed that she couldn't continue with her life and left everything behind. We follow El穩n, who reacts similarly, and her daughter, Katr穩n, in her search for her mother. The plot, which focuses on love, loss, and friendship, is thrilling and keeps the reader in suspense until the end. The Icelandic version of the story was published in Iceland in 2020.

Instead swaps black pudding for black cohosh, returns to sketching in black ink, only reverts to Black Friday retail therapy if someone at work gives her a black look. But at the Black Horse she's very rarely in the black, otherwise might research a black market skinny jab. If only he would buy her a black diamond engagement ring.
