Healthy Eating
Are you're looking for a healthy diet that can help you lose weight, feel more energy, and prevent disease while enjoying all the foods you want to enjoy? You've come to the right place. The Mediterranean diet has been around for decades and is one that's been studied the most. That's what perhaps makes it a truly reliable eating plan and is what makes its "benefits" legitimate. Its most well-known benefit is that it's good for the heart, considering that it's rich in foods high in omega-3s-nuts, seafood, olive oil, and a variety of fruits and vegetables. Aside from that, the Med diet is also known to boost brain health. One study that involved around 1,800 participants found that those who followed the Med diet were less likely to acquire Alzheimer's disease and other related cognitive disorders in old age. This benefit can be credited to the fish and seafood component of the diet. These recipes are delicious, but as the title reads, they will also result in some pretty amazing health benefits. I touch on those within the next couple of chapters, and if you can start to embrace the Mediterranean way of life, you can expect to reap those same benefits!Welcome to the wonderful world of olive oil, feta cheese, seafood, and of course, wining and dining! This book covers: History of Mediterranean DietWhat Is the Mediterranean Diet? The Science behind Mediterranean DietWhy Is It the Healthiest?Foods to Eat on the Mediterranean DietFoods to Avoid on the Mediterranean DietTips for Success on the Mediterranean DietRecipes You Will Never Stop Using This Awesome Cookbook! German Recipes from Mom
Great Authentic German recipes that are easy to make with simple ingredients. I grew up in a German community in the rural north. My mother, who was full-blooded German cooked many wonderful meals for our family. After I grew up and got married (to a German) I realized that not everyone knew how to cook these recipes the old way, or as I'll refer to it, my mother's way. I really wanted to leave my kids a way to connect with their family and have a piece of my history when I am no longer here. this book was written out of love for my seven children and with the hope that one day they will wish to teach their families how to cook the food that I grew up eating. These recipes are hearty and simple. My favorite ones are Kuchen (a fruit-filled pie), vooktee (a steamed bread dough with sweet sauce), and beer cheese soup. I think you will dearly love these recipes as much as I loved them growing up. Please don't miss the kneophla soup or the potato dumplings which I know will be a huge hit.

Lemon, Love & Olive Oil
A NEW YORK TIMES BEST COOKBOOK OF THE YEARAuthor of the cult-favorite Cooking for Artists, Mina Stone, returns with a collection of 80 new recipes inspired by her traditional Greek heritage and her years cooking for some of New York's most innovative artists.Growing up in a close-knit Greek-American household, Mina Stone learned to cook from her Yiayia, who taught her that food doesn't have to be complicated to be delicious--and that almost any dish can be improved with judicious amounts of lemon, olive oil, and salt. In this deeply personal cookbook, Stone celebrates her grandmother and the other influences that have shaped her life, her career, and her culinary tastes and expertise. Lemon, Love & Olive Oil weaves together more than 80 Mediterranean-style dishes with the stories that inspired them. Stone offers home cooks a taste of her heritage with healthy, flavorful, and uncomplicated dishes such as Syrian Bulgur and Yogurt with Brown Butter Pine Nuts; Persian Figs with Cardamom and Rosewater; Baby Lettuces with Toasted Sesame Seeds, Mint, and Meyer Lemon Yogurt; and Braised Chickpeas with Orange Zest and Garlic Bread Crumbs. These recipes use fresh, flavorful ingredients to create elegantly simple dishes, complemented by beautiful, minimalist photography and original art throughout. A fresh and unconventional fusion of art and food, Lemon, Love & Olive Oil is an engaging (and delicious!) cultural and culinary tour, all complimented by the design of world-renowned artist Urs Fischer.
