Despeckling Methods for Medical Ultrasound Images

Based upon the research they have conducted over the past decade in the field of denoising processes for medical ultrasonic imaging, in this book, the authors systematically present despeckling methods for medical ultrasonic images. Firstly, the respective methods are reviewed and divided into five categories. Secondly, after introducing some basic mathematical tools such as wavelet and shearlet transforms, the authors highlight five recently developed despeckling methods for medical ultrasonic images. For the modeling of blade at first blade is divided into different sections for the calculation purpose. At the end, simulation of wind blade is done and a graph of coefficient of power and tip to speed ratio is obtained. The performance of the blade at different Reynolds numbers is also checked by us in q blade software.

FLEXITRANSTORE (An Integrated Platform for Increased FLEXIbility in smart TRANSmission grids with STORage Entities and large penetration of Renewable Energy Sources) aims to contribute to the development of a pan-European transmission network with high flexibility and high interconnection levels. This will facilitate the transformation of the current energy production mix by hosting an increasing share of renewable energy sources. Novel smart grid technologies, control and storage methods, and new market approaches will be developed, installed, demonstrated, and tested introducing flexibility to the European power system. FLEXITRANSTORE is developing a next-generation Flexible Energy Grid (FEG) that will be integrated into the European Internal Energy Market (IEM) through the valorization of flexibility services. This FEG addresses the capabilities of a power system to maintain continuous service in the face of rapid and large swings in supply or demand. As such, a wholesale market infrastructure and new business models within this integrated FEG must be upgraded for network players, and offer incentives for new ones to join, while at the same time demonstrating new business perspectives for cross-border resource management and energy trading. Not only is the Internet of Things for energy applications, herein called the energy Internet of Things (eIoT), rapidly developing but also the transition towards sustainable energy to abate global climate is very much at the forefront of public discourse. It is within the context of these two dynamic thrusts, digitization and global climate change, that the energy industry sees itself undergoing significant change in how it is operated and managed. This book recognizes that they impose five fundamental energy management change drivers: 1.) the growing demand for electricity, 2.) the emergence of renewable energy resources, 3.) the emergence of electrified transportation, 4.) the deregulation of electric power markets, 5.) and innovations in smart grid technology. Together, they challenge many of the assumptions upon which the electric grid was first built. The goal of this book is to provide a single integrated picture of how eIoT can come to transform our energy infrastructure. This book links the energy management change drivers mentioned above to the need for a technical energy management solution. It, then, describes how eIoT meets many of the criteria required for such a technical solution. Modeling of Partial Discharge for Solid Insulation

In high voltage (HV) electrical power systems; varieties of materials (solid, liquid and gaseous) are used for insulation purpose to protect the early failure in High Voltage power equipment. Most of the insulating materials are not perfect in all respect and contain some impurities. The presence of air bubble is one of such impurities in insulating materials which is highly undesirable. Insulation of the HV power equipment gradually degrades due to the cumulative effect of electrical, chemical and thermal stress and aging. Due to the high voltage stress, the weak zone inside the insulator causes partial discharge (PD).This deteriorates the insulator. In this paper, an electrical circuit model of the solid insulator with void is used to study the PD activity leading to breakdown inside the insulator. Among the models (namely the capacitive model and induced charge concept model), the capacitive model is adopted in present work. The Simulink capacitive model implemented, effectively demonstrates the partial discharge process. The model is used to study and demonstrate the effect of the permittivity of cavity/impurity and breakdown inception voltage level of the impurity.
