Fasting Against Spiritual Amnesia
What if your forgetfulness isn't cognitive... but spiritual? We live in a world where everything is fed-except the soul. Overstimulated, overfed, and spiritually starved, we drift further each year from the sacred clarity that once defined human life. This is not just a health crisis. It is spiritual amnesia-a forgetting of who we are, why we came, and what fire we carry. But ancient wisdom never forgot.Across Daoist mountains, desert monasteries, and yogic lineages, fasting was not a diet. It was a return. A sacred emptiness through which the soul remembers itself. In this revolutionary book, author and fasting teacher Laing Z. Matthews offers a profound fusion of ancient spiritual practice and modern clinical insight. With clarity, reverence, and poetic fire, Fasting Against Spiritual Amnesia explores: Why your immune system is not just a defense-but a boundary of selfhoodHow fasting reduces neuroinflammation and clears the pathways of perceptionThe gut as a sacred veil where intuition and integrity meetScientific evidence for fasting-induced stem cell renewal, immune reset, and mood regulationThe Daoist concept of Shen-the radiance of spirit that returns when we stop feeding illusionsThis is not a book about restriction. It is about sacred remembering."You are not overfed. You are underlit. The fire within you remembers."Whether you suffer from brain fog, emotional fatigue, autoimmune confusion, or just the creeping sense that something essential has been forgotten-this book offers a path. A quiet, powerful path back to yourself.Inside you'll find: Gentle fasting protocols for different constitutionsSpiritual reflections to align body, breath, and soulScientific citations integrated with ancient frameworksA glossary of clinical and metaphysical termsPoetic invocations to ignite memory in the reader's spiritYou don't need more apps, pills, or distractions. You need to stop feeding what is false-and listen again to the truth beneath the noise."In emptiness, the immune gatekeeper remembers what belongs. In silence, the soul reclaims its name."Let this book be your companion through the sacred practice of fasting-not for weight loss, but for the revelation of who you are when you stop consuming the world and start listening to the light within.

Bad Acts of the Apostles
A revised, extended and enriched edition of John Henson's most provocative, most controversial, most subversive book. From the very beginning Christians have deviated by word and deed from the teachings of Jesus Christ. Why -- and is there something that we can learn about the Early Church by examining those deviations? When Luke wrote Acts, the sequel to his Gospel, was he fully aware of the difficult path he was taking? Did he write simply to extol the exploits of the first Christians and prepare their leaders for canonization - or did he have a different agenda altogether? This is not your usual approach to Acts. What Luke narrated, and how those views differed from those of the other Apostles, sheds light on what we thought we knew. And, better yet, it will encourage Christians to seek anew the mind of Jesus.

The Right Weigh
The Right Weigh is a unique 35-day, five-step approach to weight control that combines both a practical and a spiritual approach. Rena Greenberg addresses the importance of making changes in your diet and activity level—and makes it easy for you to do so—but she emphasizes what most diet books overlook: how to do the inner work necessary to change the very way you think about food. Using self-hypnosis, neurolinguistic programming, and a technique called “Remembrance,” this program shows you how to get past the obstacles that have held you back from losing weight and keeping it off. You’ll find yourself naturally craving healthier foods, and being indifferent to or even repulsed by unhealthy, fattening, or high-sugar foods without the need to draw upon willpower to change the way you eat. The Right Weigh teaches you how to change your perceptions of your self and the foods you’re eating by tapping in to the vast Source of power within, and reconnecting to your infinite spiritual nature. In this way, the wisest part of yourself guides you to make excellent choices to improve the quality of your life and live healthfully at the mind, body, heart, and spirit levels.

Wellness at Air Command and Staff College
Health and fitness are vital components of combat readiness, unit productivity, and individual well-being. However, to make theory become reality, it is necessary for future military commanders and leaders to understand and embrace these concepts, and deliver this message to the field. Air Command and Staff College provides a prime educational and motivational environment where this very population can be targeted. Various wellness program models are investigated and a model identified that would potentially have the most significant impact. The paper will be divided into three sections: review of literature and the history of establishing a wellness program for such a population; examination of what current program(s) exist; and a proposed strategic plan for a full scale wellness program at ACSC. It is my thesis that the current Air Force Health and Wellness Center (HAWC) program does not currently meet the needs of in-resident PME students at this level, and that an executive style wellness program is more appropriate. The methodology will include a review of the related literature, interviews with current directors of the AWC and ACSC Executive Wellness Programs, and evaluation of participant feedback data. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
