Developmental defects of teeth are caused by complex interactions between genetic and environmental factors that affect the structure of enamel during its formation. Developmental defects increase the risk for diseases that impact negatively on the quality of life. Enamel Hypomineralization is a qualitative defect of enamel associated with hypomineralized first permanent molars as well as incisors, caused by multiple factors. It is frequently present in children with amoxicillin history during the first four years of life. Affected molars are associated with demarcated opacities which vary in color from white to brown resembling discolored chalk or old Dutch cheese. Clinical difficulties associated with MIH include dental caries, failure of anesthesia and failure of restorations. Managing such patients require a variety of approaches, materials, and techniques. Early diagnosis allows monitoring of First Permanent Molars so that remineralization and preventive measures such as fluoride toothpaste, fluoride varnishes or CPP-ACP pastes could be instituted as soon as affected surfaces are accessible.

Piezo Surgery-an Overview
The bone-cutting technique of the piezoelectric device works due to the use of micro-vibrations at a specific ultrasonic frequency modulated by sonic waves. The sonic and ultrasonic frequency (25-30 kHz) is produced by a mechanical shock wave that vibrates in a linear manner. The cutting tip works with reduced vibration amplitude (horizontal 20-200 μm, vertical 20-60 μm). The selective and thermally harmless nature of the piezosurgery instrument results in a low bleeding tendency. The precise nature of the instrument allows exact, clean, and smooth cut geometries during surgery. Postoperatively, excellent wound healing, with no nerve and soft tissue injuries, is observed. Because of its highly selective and accurate nature, and cutting effect exclusively targeting hard tissue, its use may be extended to more complex oral surgery cases, as well as to other interdisciplinary problems

Dental imaging has advanced rapidly over the last years. Static projectional images were relied upon for diagnosis in the maxillofacial region, but we are moving toward digital, three-dimensional (3D) and interactive imaging applications. Much of this movement is attributed to a recently introduced CT technology known as ''cone-beam computed tomography'' or ''digital volume tomography.'' This technology has offered dentists a view of all angles of areas of concern. This technology has been embraced quickly by the dental profession. It is considered as ''what was missing'' by many in the field.
Ceramic
Ceramics are used in restorative dentistry because they are biocompatible and they have high aesthetic qualities. Their selection for restoring missing teeth depends on the needed strength and desired level of aesthetics, the amount of tooth structure that can be preserved and the available laboratory support. Two elements are important for the success of a dental ceramic restoration: first advance in the chemical composition leading to more strength but less aesthetic; second advance in fabrication methods. The developments of dental ceramics shows that major improvements of the mechanical properties of ceramics have so far only been achieved by changing the chemical composition of the material. Although many advances in dental ceramics have been reached, research for an ideal material continues to be the central issue. The search for a dental ceramic material with the required aesthetics and the strength for restoring continuing missing teeth in the posterior region of the mouth is not over yet.
Recent Advances In Dental Ceramics
Better esthetics of all Ceramic restorations compared with metal-ceramic systems and complexity of metal framework fabrication as well as concerns of biocompatibility of metallic alloys are prime factors that contributed to growth of all ceramic restorations. However there are concerns related to their low strength and toughness and associated catastrophic failure modes that lead to their failures. Over the years primary focus of dental ceramics developers and engineers has been to introduce new ceramic materials with adequate strength characteristics without compromising the esthetics. The various materials that have been introduced have different properties that specify their use in specific clinical situations.Conventional porcelains like feldspathic, aluminous core porcelian have very low flexural strength (below 150 Mpa) and therefore are indicated for onlays, three quarter crowns, veneers and complete coverage crowns in anterior segment only. Glass ceramics like Lithium disilicate reinforced ceramics were then introduced. They have moderate flexural strength (300 - 400Mpa) and can only be used in posterior segment for single crowns.
