The Science and Fine Art of Fasting
In his 1934 book, The Science and Fine Art of Fasting, Herbert M. Shelton outlined his theory that fasting is a key component in promoting healing. The book's ideas run counter to the well-known conventional wisdom that those who are sick must eat to "keep up their strength" and posits that fasting is a natural part of the rhythm of life. Shelton's book outlines the history of this practice and explains the following in detail: what is fasting, the purpose of fasting, how to fast successfully, intermittent fasting for healing, and the benefits of fasting in general.Shelton was writing before the advent of genetic theory and modern medicine. His beliefs were criticized during his time, and he even faced legal penalties for publishing his views. But modern science is now beginning to show that, in some instances, his theories were accurate. Caloric restriction has been repeatedly shown to increase life span in animals, and researchers, such as David Sinclair of Harvard University, have discovered the cellular and genetic mechanisms that respond to such techniques.According to Shelton, when someone is fasting, the energy typically going into eating and digestion is instead redirected to promote health and well-being. Fasting works as a method of "resetting" the body's metabolism and has a multitude of applications. Shelton divided fasting into two distinct periods: eating and abstaining. Both periods are considered to be vital aspects of the same process. As a child on his family's farm, Shelton observed animals abstain from food when upset, wounded, sick, or just simply not hungry. Shelton came to understand this behavior as a means of survival. Man, as part of the organic world, has many reasons to mimic such behavior and has done so throughout history--as is seen in various religious practices throughout the world. Shelton viewed the purpose of fasting as a natural occurrence that generated healing and restorative benefits. As with animals, Shelton believed abstention from food is sometimes more beneficial than its consumption. For more than 10,000 years, fasting was used to alleviate human illness. In his book, Shelton gives anecdotal evidence of humans fasting for periods of 60 days or more and shows the practice has been known to cure a wide range of diseases such as epilepsy, typhoid fever, cataracts, and obesity.Over the course of 30 years, Shelton conducted 25,000 fasts ranging from three days to over two months. Throughout the duration of the studies conducted, Shelton found the number of red blood cells increased during a fast and that a general rejuvenation occured. He claims to have observed rapid healing of wounds and various organ systems in patients undergoing the practice. In one case, a group of university students studied for one week without food and showed remarkable improvement in their performance. He asserted that addicts found relief through fasting and that other mental conditions showed improvement through his methods.Herbert M.Shelton and his works remain popular in the alternative medicine community even today, especially in the realms of fasting and restorative care.
Molecular Pharmacology and Pathology of Strokes
Stroke, a progressively non-communicable disease, is the second leading cause of death after coronary heart disease in developed countries. The present treatment options for stroke are adapting lifestyle practices, diabetes treatment, drugs, and the management of other factors, but no cure is yet available, despite new insights into molecular and therapeutic targets. Discoveries related to explicating the molecular pharmacology in cerebrovascular function and thrombosis have led to significant advancements in the current treatment paradigm for patients with stroke. Hence, this Special Issue invited scientific papers and reviews from researchers to provide solid evidence from a molecular point of view to scrutinize the molecular pharmacology and pathology of strokes. Platelet activation plays a major role in cardio and cerebrovascular diseases. Platelets also play a key role in the hemostatic process and are associated with various pathological events, such as arterial thrombosis and atherosclerosis. While the currently used anti-platelet drugs such as aspirin and clopidogrel demonstrate efficacy in many patients, they exert undesirable side effects. Therefore, the development of effective therapeutic strategies for the prevention and treatment of thrombotic diseases is a significant priority. Recently, precious metal drugs have conquered the subject of metal-based drugs, and several investigators have moved their attention to the synthesis of various ruthenium (Ru) and iridium (Ir) complexes due to their prospective therapeutic values. We have published this e-book about the "Molecular Pharmacology and Pathology of Strokes" and anticipate that readers will find this book useful regarding the significant challenges and current advances that are presently being made in stroke research, with the possibility of inspiring the application of novel drug development to enrich the devotion and treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases.
Opposing Gravity
This book is needed for many reasons. The author experienced first hand the effects of living for many years with untreated concussions that were also undiagnosed since childhood. The symptoms were easy to miss, attribute to other causes, and somewhat easy to compensate for as life goes on, but at some point the system loses its reserves of adaptability and more serious symptoms showed up. At that point the race is on to try to understand how it was overlooked and what to do about it before the damage becomes irreversible.Head injuries are very common. Tens of millions of people every year experience them and go to the emergency room as a result, and likely millions more don't go to the hospital and just shake it off, or take a pill for the pain. This book is needed because the brain can hide its struggles in the form of change in mood, in ADD or dyslexia, in memory issues, headaches or sleep disturbances, and many other signs that are easy to dismiss. This book is needed because females, children, and seniors are more vulnerable to serious injury when they fall or have an accident, and will take longer to recover; this book shares why this is true and what to do about it.I found out that public awareness is needed about how to prevent unnecessary discomfort throughout life and particularly during the aging process, which begins to hit every one in their 40's. It wasn't there until much later when I was in the recovery process, and the discoveries made along the way will save everyone the drudgery of finding out the long, hard way through trial and error. Opposing Gravity offers insight in the form of scientific evidence, lists of symptoms in acute and chronic phases, treatment options, diagnostic options, and lists of specific exercises that can access areas of impact in the neck and cranium most often impacted in head injuries. Integration and balance creates the sensation in the body of opposing gravity, along with a restoration marker that offers this sensation as a sign that communication between integral musculoskeletal systems and your brain is happening as it should. Most conditions are easier to prevent than to cure, so I hope that by sharing the information in Opposing Gravity, millions of people will not need to go through the dementia, chronic pain, systemic dysregulation, and emotional imbalances that can happen from a simple fall or sport that you used to love. "Suresha Hill has written a gem of a book about how to recognize head injuries and heal from them. As a craniosacral / trauma therapist, I have worked with countless closed-head injury clients over the years, and have lamented the lack of a self-help manual I could recommend for people to empower their own healing process. Now, Suresha has provided such a resource - a beautiful blend of valuable information blended with insightful personal experience. I hope that many people will use Opposing Gravity to help them heal in the dynamic way that Suresha has." Gary Peterson, Certified Byodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy Instructor "Concussion is the entry event leading into dementia. Even without being "knocked out", damage to brain and braincase ignites an inflammation within them that will not be extinguished. Neurodegenerative decline occurs throughout all neural tissues even as dementia ravages consciousness: spinal stenosis, cardiac arrhythmias, incontinence and constipation accompany the tremor and lost memories. Recovery must include the restoration of braincase physiology (motion), and the reestablishment of brain-drainage (glymphatic & venous). Osteopathy in the Cranial Field is practiced on that frontier." Dr.T M McCombs, DO, C-NMM/OMM, C-FP

Gesundheit Zwischen Fasten Und F羹lle
Die Enthaltsamkeit beim Essen k繹nnte sogar Demenz vorbeugen. The OPIOID EPIDEMIC CONSUMERS and HEALTHCARE GUIDE
Read one of the most comprehensive books about the opioid epidemic: opioid overdose deaths, illegally manufactured fentanyl (IMF), synthetic opioid analogs, heroin, and how marijuana/cannabis affects the opioid epidemic. Read also about how drugs like cocaine methamphetamine and benzodiazepines ( BENZOS) affect the opioid epidemic. Also learn about different medication treatments/programs such as naloxone, Suboxone, methadone, Safe Injection Sites/Supervised Injection Sites /Insight and many drugs detoxification protocols. Learn how to protect your children from illicit opioids, cocaine, marijuana /cannabis, and other illegal drugs as we combat the opioid crisis. This book looks at how the opioid epidemic started and where we are now. We examined and explained the causes of the opioid epidemic and who are most likely responsible, as we look at prescription drugs and the doctors and providers who write these prescriptions. The impact of legal and illegal opioids and their contribution to the opioid epidemic are discussed. Also, non-opioid drugs, which are also a major contributing factor to the opioid epidemic, are considered. The significance of diversions of opioids and controlled substances are presented. The impact of the opioid epidemic on family and loved ones, including teens and young adults, is also presented, as well as some of the obstacles to available treatment. Appropriate medical, nonmedical intervention, and treatment as well as the challenges faced by those of us who work with chronic and acute pain patients are elaborated on at length with an emphasis on addiction treatment, prevention. Alternative therapies such as marijuana, non-traditional treatments, and some controversial programs are also examined. The importance of naloxone is thoroughly discussed. As we move forward, we looked at what can be done, and some of the things that are being done in other countries that are helpful in their fight against the opioid crisis. We also looked at what is being done in our country by various sectors, including but not limited to the government, providers, and healthcare insurance companies. The importance of opioid use in our society is discussed, along with the need for continuing opioid treatment despite the number of deaths it has caused. This book provides a relatively simple approach to a very complex problem; as well as information that will create a better understanding for consumers, the public as a whole, and healthcare providers/physicians of some of the challenges involved with opioid use, treatment and addiction. This book is intended for consumers and the general public, as well as healthcare providers mainly engaged in primary care and service treatment of patients who are potential users of opioids, and those who are already on opioids and other controlled substances.Author: Dr. D. Terrence Foster.

Communication in Pharmacy Practice
This reprint book 'Communication in Pharmacy Practice' is launched to help improve communication practices by increasing knowledge of different aspects of communication in pharmacy practice. The book consists of recently published research articles and illustrates that pharmacy communication is a research subject that is investigated globally and from many perspectives. The overall pharmacy communicational themes investigated and discussed in this book are as follows: Communication between health care professionals; communication between pharmacists and patients in the context of both prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medicines; and factors impacting communication. There are many challenges for communication in pharmacy practice today, and several are highlighted in this book. A central conclusion to the research contributions of several of the authors is the specific need to further develop direct, face-to-face communication between pharmacy staff and patients/consumers including tools to better address patient's needs.
Ribosome Inactivating Toxins
Ribosome inactivating proteins (RIPs) form a vast family of hundreds of toxins from plants, fungi, algae and bacteria. RIP activities have also been detected in animal tissues. They target a single adenine of a ribosomal RNA, thereby blocking protein synthesis and leading intoxicated cells to apoptosis. The role of plant RIPs may be related to plant defense against predators and viruses, plant senescence or bacterial pathogenesis. Most RIPs are no threat to human or animal health. However, several bacterial RIPs are major virulence factors involved in severe epidemic diseases such as dysentery or the hemolytic uremic syndrome that may occur in patients suffering from Shiga toxin-producing entero-hemorrhagic Escherichia coli infection. Several plant RIPs such as ricin toxin, abrin or sarcin have been, or may be involved in accidental or criminal poisonings, political intimidation or bio-suicides. Health crisis, biosafety and biosecurity issues became a major concern and many efforts are made to develop treatments. Finally, RIPs can be engineered into immunotoxins to destroy cancer cells or cells chronically infected by viruses. This book presents the most recent data on all aspects of RIPs including function, diversity and evolution, mechanism, pathophysiology, medical countermeasures and engineering into anticancer drugs.
Opposing Gravity
Besides the millions of people each year who suffer head and brain injuries, there are many times more who have them and don't know it. The symptoms resemble so many things we can easily ignore - like headaches, ADD/ADHD, moodiness, depression, anxiety, PTSD, neck pain, nausea, clumsiness, brain fog, dementia, etc. - or that we can attribute to other causes, making them harder to follow up on. A concussive force can happen to the brain if you fall, play contact sports, or have a car accident, but unless you pass out or bleed, most likely everything else will get diagnosed and treated except what happened to your head. The consequences often show up much later when your inner resources are tapped out and you've forgotten the original incident(s).I've had dozens of small head injuries and a few major ones that were overlooked until the 'game-changer' happened and couldn't be dismissed. I studied and tried everything I could think of to heal it and was then faced with healing all of them. I reached 80% resolution, but still had a couple of remaining symptoms and a vulnerability to exacerbation. I got to wondering why that vulnerability was still there. My body remembered everything and left tracks in my system that luckily could be followed like breadcrumbs to the kingpin. The kingpin was the area that registered most of the trauma in such a way that none of them could fully heal, because on the level of the nervous system, fascia fields, and other layers, they are inseparably interconnected. With what I've learned in the process of researching for this book, finally the kingpin is healing and that remaining 20% is resolving as well. What I learned along the way is too significant not to share. So many discomforts and dysfunctions that turn into chronic issues can be renewed into greater ease, more freedom, less pain, deeper sleep, and happier days. I wanted everyone to know that there are many avenues these days for specific diagnoses, and detailed treatment protocols that are pretty simple and are a pleasure to follow because they feel so wonderful as they balance your system. There are several types of practitioners out there who can help jump start the process, and many things you can do on your own to continue the trajectory towards well-being and lasting peace of mind. I hope that coaches, teachers, parents, partners, therapists, and team mates alike appreciate and pass on the urgency of this information getting out there.Hear what professionals have to say: "Concussion is the entry even leading into dementia. Recovery must include the restoration of braincase physiology (motion), and the reestablishment of brain-drainage (glymphatic and venous). Neurodegenerative decline occurs throughout all neural tissues i.e. spinal stenosis, cardiac arrythmias, incontinence and constipation accompany the tremor and lost memories. Opposing Gravity goes beyond the physicality of brain injury to include a wide range of nutritional, physical, and spiritual approaches, with extensive self-care information from an insider's perspective. The reader will soon know more than their physicians, and will have a far wider ranges of tools with which to recover." Homeopathy Reconsidered
Homeopathy is over 200 years old and is still experiencing an uninterrupted influx of new practitioners and patients. Many patients and therapists swear by this "alternative healing method", which in some countries is even financed by health insurances. This seems completely incomprehensible to critics: For them it is clearly evident that homeopathy is hopelessly unscientific and has at best a placebo effect. The positions of supporters and opponents seem to be just as immutable as they are incompatible. This book answers some essential and fascinating questions: What remains of the founding ideas of homeopathy in 21st century medicine? Does it really work and, if so, how? Which of the original theories can we still apply today with a clear conscience and use for the benefit of patients and the healthcare system? Where does homeopathy have its limits and does it indeed need to be critically reconsidered and evaluated? Theauthor has dealt with the points of criticism for years, but at the same time also takes seriously the wishes and concerns of patients who often feel insufficiently cared for by conventional medical practice. Against the background of her own personal history, her book attempts to bridge the gap between these two traditionally opposing camps.

The New Threat of Type 3 Diabetes
The American diet is typically high in sugar consumption and extremely acidic. This lifestyle leads to insulin resistance, inflammation, diabetes, high blood pressure, risk for heart attack or stroke, and possibly dementia and Alzheimer's disease. In The New Threat of Type 3 Diabetes, authors Alan D. Raguso and Maria Lizotte offer an understanding of diabetes, discussing why people's health declines and why they get sick. Based on their personal and professional experiences with diabetes, they discuss concepts of body chemistry, look at inflammation as a health risk, and share how it's a result of improper food intake, heredity, and environmental conditions, along with economics, poor pH balance, lack of moderate exercise, and the modern technological world. Raguso and Lizotte tell how type 3 diabetes is a newly accepted category, connecting a lifetime of damage caused by excessive blood sugar levels. With illustrations and graphics included, The New Threat of Type 3 Diabetes reviews the basic definitions of medical terms, the possible connections to prediabetes, type 2 and type 3 diabetes, and the steps that can be taken to prevent or reverse these diseases. Raguso and Lizotte suggest ways to make simple changes to live more healthily, better, and longer.
Pharmaceutical Calculations
A book in pharmaceutical calculations laden with worked examples and making it easy for even the slowest leaner to grasp the concepts of mathematics in pharmaceutical practice. The author has been teaching pharmaceutical calculations at the university level for the past twenty-five years. The author also realized that students come from various backgrounds, some being good in mathematics and some lacking the proper background and hence, not as good. The manual is designed to simply provide a reference material in pharmaceutical calculations that can be used by students of all levels (dispensers, pharmaceutical assistants, and technicians as well as pharmacy degree students) regardless of their backgrounds. The manual is an asset to both students and tutors alike. It is also intended to impart ability to students to work independently and understand practical problems that occur in practice from time to time. In writing this manual, the author carefully followed various curricula of pharmacy at certificate, diploma, and degree levels of various institutions. The manual also addresses components of the curriculum of nursing courses, particularly calculations involving doses and dosages. Thus, trainers will choose topics relevant to the level they are dealing with. The manual is enriched with over 350 worked examples and about 150 practice questions with answers to make self-study possible. With many practical worked examples, even the slowest learner can be taken onboard. Furthermore, this manual will be a quick reference for practicing pharmaceutical technicians, nurses, and pharmacists.

Critical Cases in Electrocardiography
Emergency and critical care providers are often challenged by patients with acute cardiorespiratory symptoms and abnormal electrocardiograms. Critical Cases in Electrocardiography emphasizes clinically-relevant topics, focusing squarely on situations where interpretation of the ECG contributes to clinical decision-making. This atlas is unique, in that it includes numerous examples of ECG 'misses' - cases where the computer algorithm or the clinicians (or both) got the diagnosis wrong. While many textbooks include only smaller, black and white ECG tracings, which do not resemble actual clinical practice, this volume is designed to encourage self-study of the ECG by including full-page tracings in their natural color. The book focuses on 'don't miss' ECG tracings in order to help readers advance beyond the stage of 'competent' electrocardiographer. Anatomic and electrophysiologic correlations are emphasized throughout the work, helping readers appreciate the anatomic and electrical origins of the ECG abnormalities, rather than relying solely on pattern memorization.

Energy Healing
This work by Dr. Willy Frinta, an allopathic physician at the University of Innsbruck, is an invaluable legacy for anyone who wants to approach what is a new alternative in the treatment of diseases with increasingly encouraging results. The therapies of Dr. Frinta invite optimism in the face of the power of these unknown and untapped human abilities. The search for truth and scientific account of their professional practice make this book an essential reference in the field of alternative medicines (Ing. Jorge Reynolds Pombo, Dr. Honoris Causa, inventor of the artificial pacemaker in Colombia). In the light of this book, it is clear that healing is not only corporal but multidimensional and that the true healing comes from inside to outside of being by processes that involve the deep dynamics of the psyche and in a permanent effort of perfection that only it is possible with the full harmony of the soul (MD: Fabio Villarraga, doctor, specialist in bioethics, National University of Colombia). The contribution of Dr. Willy Frinta is not limited to healing based on the use of transmitted frequencies through his technique of laying on of hands. His scientific career includes having been in Colombia and being one of the pioneers of surgery without anesthesia. The effectiveness of the frequencies to which it appeals in the treatment of diseases was subjected to successful laboratory tests in 1996, managing to inhibit the growth of different germs. Likewise, thermographic cameras allowed to verify that these frequencies produce changes of temperature in patients, which denotes the way in which their therapy works on the human organism.
Glycosaminoglycans and Proteoglycans
Proteoglycans (PGs) are glycoconjugates in which a protein or peptide core is substituted with polysaccharide chains known as glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). The GAG sidechains carry a significant proportion of the functionality of PGs, interacting with many proteins to form structural units in the extracellular matrix and to modulate the transport and signalling of small proteins acting as morphogens, growth factors and cytokines. Purified GAGs such as heparin and hyaluronan are in common use as therapeutic agents, with many more PG-based natural products, synthetic and semi-synthetic mimetics on the way; in addition, potential therapeutic strategies involving PG/GAG biosynthesis and degradation as targets are currently in development.
Mind-body Medicine in Clinical Practice

It Is in Your Hands. Emotional Freedom Technique (Eft)
An introduction to a new psychological therapeutic method called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). It is a practical procedure to eliminate all negative emotions, including stress, anxiety, fears, phobias, past traumas (including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD), substance abuse, and all addictions. With EFT the user no longer has to go through months of expensive, and usually ineffective, conventional "talk therapies." Anyone can be free from any negative emotional or psychological difficulty that in the past has prevented him/her from reaching full potential, or from living a joyful, blissful life. EFT puts in your hands the power to eliminate all negative emotions. It is simple, effective, and most importantly, it is free! Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Thought Field Therapies (TFT) access the body's energy meridian system to release the negative energy attached to a particular negative emotion. The energy meridian system is a natural network of energy pathways circulating throughout the body. EFT uses the same principles of energy therapies, such as acupuncture, except that EFT does not require needles and it heals psychological problems, not just physical ones. EFT/TFT is the outcome of a recent scientific discovery that found that the cause of negative emotions is not the memory of a traumatic event, but the negative energy entangled around the memory. This finding shows that by releasing this energy, the negative emotion is instantly eliminated. Thousands of people have reported relief from past traumas and negative feelings that had previously defied months of conventional treatment. The reader only needs to learn a series of meridian end points, how to use the hands to tap on these points for a few minutes, and the ability to concentrate and feel a particular negative emotion. It is that simple! IT IS IN YOUR HANDS is written in a simple style, with many practical exercises, case studies to treat specific negative emotions, and illustrations designed to gradually develop and apply the principles.
Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Pediatric patients are a unique subset of emergency patients, making up about one-quarter of all emergency department visits. Textbooks regarding the care of pediatric patients are almost universally organized by organ system, which does not facilitate an efficient diagnosis. Taking a case-based approach, Pediatric Emergency Medicine: Chief Complaints and Differential Diagnosis is arranged by chief complaint, using real patient scenarios to help the reader work through the inductive and deductive reasoning needed to assess, evaluate, treat, and disposition pediatric patients with urgent complaints. Cases are structured in the way in which they are presented during medical care, allowing practitioners to become comfortable with the general structure of case presentations: chief complaint, HPI, PMH, ROS, exam, and ancillary studies. This volume also discusses disease processes and their differentiations, providing in-depth knowledge regarding current standards of diagnosis and care.

Cannabis
The discovery of a previously unknown endocrine system in the 1990s was to change the face of human biology for ever. Science finally had answers as to why tumours grow, hormones attack the body and some people's pain levels are off the scale. The ramifications of manipulating such a system were vast, illnesses like epilepsy, autism and cancer could become a thing of the past. Its revelation shocked physicians across the globe, as this medical marvel adapted and conformed under the direction of one of nature's most ancient medicines. Named after the plant that mimics, locks to, and controls it, the endocannabinoid system heals at a ferocious speed under the influence of hemp.Man has used cannabis as a means of survival since prehistory. Cultivated for seed and textile, it formed the very origins of civilisation. Through time, evidence shows it playing a vital part of how our ancestors communed with their gods. Psychoactive properties of THC, now not only connect the smoker with universal consciousness but treat the effects of nausea and pain from chemotherapy too.In 2009, cannabis medicine underwent a radical change. Isolating the non-psychoactive component cannabidiol, breeders created a medicine, that in test tubes kills cancer cells, but doesn't alter the perception of reality. Startlingly, for a plant with such an intimate associate with psychosis, it even prevents schizophrenic dissociation. It enables veterans of PTSD to forget, eradicates epileptic fits and draws people on the autistic spectrum out of their isolated worlds and into ours.Best-selling essential oil researcher Elizabeth Ashley has carefully untangled the threads of cannabis knowledge to find the truth about high CBD hemp oil, hemp essential oil and hemp seed oil. She Grasses on people telling lies about its skills Weeds outs medical truth from fiction Shares a joint study of cannabis history through archaeological finds and the medicine of the future. Bud-dy's up to show you how to recreate the synthetic pharmaceuticals of tomorrow, using the plant medicine of today Her compassionate and engaging stories of cannabis healing are exquisitely interlaced with simple to follow, yet state of the art physiology of how CBD affects our bodies in the most spectacularly beneficial way. The Gift of a Peaceful Death
Many times you will hear people say that they don't fear death but they do fear what they may have to endure before they reach that final passage. Relying on medical interventions and pharmaceuticals alone often does not bring the peaceful death that people hope for, but by integrating complementary and alternative methods with Western medicine the possibility of having that ease at the end is significantly heightened. In this book you will read accounts by practicing professionals on how and when they use complementary and alternative modalities with their patients and clients. You will read about the many uses of energy healing, including how a hospital chaplain uses it to ease the pain and fear of patients who are on a medical ventilator. You will read about nurses who use essential oils to induce relaxation, reduce pain, and eliminate nausea. The music therapist shares stories of how music can soothe, elevate mood, and bring families together at the end of life. You will see how simple massage techniques can reduce pain and stress and lower blood pressure, how acupuncture can ease symptoms and in one case restored a patient's ability to breathe. With the probable exception of palliative care physicians, your medical provider may be prohibited from suggesting these be part of your treatment plan, but you, as the patient, or a family member, can ask for them. Creating an integrative treatment plan is consistent with the philosophy of hospice care: treat the whole person. The founder of the modern hospice movement, Dame Cicely Saunders, MD, saw the suffering of people with terminal illnesses who did not have adequate pain relief, who were lonely and isolated, and who felt spiritually bereft. This book shows how the complementary and alternative methods discussed fit perfectly within the model of holistic care and palliative medicine.
