The Priest & The Princess
Hoppy agrees to accompany Ryker and help him wreak revenge on his nemesis Sasha, who left Ryker for dead and robbed him of the woman he loves - albeit it Sasha's wife. Sasha imprisoned Tiara in an insane asylum outside of Paris, never expecting that Ryker with the help of the genie Hoppy will arrive at his door. In a very real game of cat and mouse Sasha reveals that Tiara is indeed alive, and Ryker instructs Hoppy that they will free her that night. They set off through winding streets at breakneck speed, as if the Devil himself was chasing them, and there, in the rank confines of this hell on earth, Ryker reunites with Tiara. They leave Sasha in the confines of the asylum and the Count LeGrand, they set off for the port and passage to "their" Island. On the way, Hoppy explains to them the theory of "Causality," the cog that turns the wheel of possibility.

The Thirty-Six Dramatic Situations
Georges Polti's classic analysis of tragic drama consists of thirty-six scenarios, with numerous examples given in support of the described plot structures.Compared against modern analysis of storytelling, Polti's system is relatively brief and light on complexity. A system is devised, whereby the major roles are defined in brackets at the beginning of each scenario. Their place and instrumental value to a story is explained, and within many of the thirty-six variations are certain subtypes depending on the exact plotting and characterizations given. Most of the variations described have one or several example theatrical plays, taken from Greek drama of antiquity or modern European works, as well as certain dramas of India and wider Asia.Although Polti's division of the dramatic situations might appear constrictive, he is clear that dramas are porous and can span more than one of the tragic circumstances described. While some fine tragedies were composed with excellent simplicity, others span multiple scenarios deftly as a kind of calamitous tour de force. Conceived as an aid for authors and playwrights in planning their stories, Polti's treatment has been much-consulted for more than a century.

Muslim Heroes on Screen
If films drawing on Middle East tropes often highlight white Westerners, figures such as Sinbad and the Thief of Bagdad embody a counter-tradition of protagonists, derived from Islamic folklore and history, who are portrayed as 'Other' to Western audiences. In Muslim Heroes on Screen, Daniel O'Brien explores the depiction of these characters in Euro-American cinema from the silent era to the present day. Far from being mere racial masquerade, these screen portrayals are more complex and nuanced than is generally allowed, not least in terms of the shifting concepts and assumptions that inform their Muslim identity. Using films ranging from Douglas Fairbanks' The Thief of Bagdad, The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, El Cid, Kingdom of Heaven and The Message to The Wind and the Lion, O'Brien considers how the representational strategies of Western filmmakers may transcend such Muslim stereotypes as fanatic antagonists or passive victims. These figures possess a cultural significance which cannot be fully appreciated by Euro-American audiences without reference to their distinction as Muslim heroes and the implications and resonances of an Islamicized protagonist.

"The Idea of being able to create wealth in this economy is as unstable as Social Security . I say that to say, the long term vision for your life is just as if not at times more important than your short term and immediate goals. Everyone is different and learn at their own pace and by their own desire. It is amazing the things people are capable of accomplishing while in a crisis, on the other hand the level to which people demobilize themselves and speak limitations before even consideration."
