Geology Applied to Civil Engineering in the Municipality of Mossor籀 - RN
The application of geology to engineering ensures that the geological factors that affect the location, construction and maintenance of civil engineering works are perfectly recognised and applied in order to guarantee their safety. In this context, the aim of this work is to gather data on how geological studies are used in the municipality of Mossor籀, Rio Grande do Norte state. The procedures adopted were bibliographical and documentary research and the collection of information in the field, carried out with companies that undertake civil engineering work. The results obtained indicate that there is constructive planning before, during and after the execution of the project, thus guaranteeing the structural stability, economy and technical viability of civil engineering works in the region. Finally, considerations are presented that illustrate the development of civil construction in the city, where housing and roadworks predominate.

Adapting to Climate Change in Projects
Climate change affects the world and the way we work in many ways. Unfortunately, it is impossible to ignore these changes, especially in construction. Weather significantly affects construction site maps. For example, construction crews may need to work longer hours to compensate for extreme temperatures. To reduce the impact, many construction companies are doing their part by seeking durable, sustainable and innovative materials such as synthetic concrete or using construction technology that It helps to preserve the environment of the projects, they have done. Although not every construction company can change all of its processes to avoid worsening climate change, any action is better than nothing. The first step you should take is to educate yourself on how climate change affects construction companies and the lives of those around them. The effects of weather on buildings are different, but its effects on construction projects are significant. Climate changes due to extreme weather events that lead to severe floods and droughts, damaged buildings and project disruptions. It creates major economic concerns for the construction and building sector.

Cassandra in Oz
When Conrad Crane retired from active duty to become a research professor, he never expected to become a modern Cassandra, fated to tell truth to power without being heeded. After the world transformed on 9/11, he warned the Army that it was not prepared to execute stability operations, counterinsurgency, and the eventual reconstruction of Iraq. Crane's work attracted the attention of Generals David Petraeus and James Mattis, and he soon found himself in charge of a team tasked with creating the groundbreaking Field Manual 3-24/Marine Corps Warfighting Publication 3-33.5 Counterinsurgency, the very counterinsurgency doctrine he had pleaded for. A unique blend of traditional and modern theory, this manual would prove to be essential to the success of the Surge in Iraq that changed the course of the war. Crane's account of the creation and implementation of the manual addresses its many criticisms, details what went wrong in Iraq, and explains how the new doctrine was never properly applied in Afghanistan. From the debates over the content to the ways it was used in the field, Cassandra in Oz covers lessons that should be gleaned from years of global war and displays the American military as a learning organization at its best.

Study of the use of stone dust as a fine aggregate in concrete
The high consumption of natural resources by the construction industry has led to growing concerns about environmental preservation, thus prompting numerous studies into the use of waste that can replace all or part of some materials, including aggregates, thereby reducing the environmental impact caused by the waste generated by the construction industry. Among the most widely used materials is stone dust, a waste product from the rock crushing process. Its application is very promising, given the high cost of natural sands, their scarcity near major centers, and the environmental damage that their exploitation causes to the environment. In this context, with a view to removing waste from nature and applying it to alternative products, this research project sought to analyze the feasibility of using stone dust as a total and partial substitute for concrete aggregate.
