Courage To Be A Child Of God
At a moment when some people seem to dismiss the necessity of the divine in their lives, it is important to remember that we are more than men and women living in this world with the capability of doing bad things. Whether we accept it or not, we all are children of God. Within us there is this divine dimension which gives us the ability to do good things if we remain obedient to God. We all belong to God and not to the State. It means that we must give to God what belongs to God and to the State what belongs to the State. We either acknowledge Christ or we ignore Him. It is important to remember that God teaches us to love one another and to turn the other cheek whenever we areattacked by another person or group of people. An Eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, complete ignorance of the presence of another person, this is not the way Jesus wants us to be with people. When a messenger of God gives a message which appears to be describing a person's lifestyle that needs to be reformed, no one should receive it as a personal attack directed to him/her. The purpose of the message should not be seen as a judgment rather an invitation to a conversion of heart. Through a priest's sermons, the Holy Spirit calls a person to change his/her life. The enemy, who does not want us to give priority to God, will use all kinds of tactics to undermine the call for us to reform our hearts and our lives. If we decide not to live according to this invitation, we are punishing ourselves and we will miss the most important element of life which is to be atpeace with God. How can we be at peace if we don't do our best to walk in the path that He has paved for us? Though some people believe that there is no more sin, and whatever lifestyle a person decides to embrace is Okay, if we are believers, we cannot fool ourselves. We all can make mistakes; but we should not take the license to remain in them for the rest of our lives. It is essential that we become aware of the damage and the seriousness of the situation so that we don't remain in our mediocrity. The Lord gives us His body as food for our salvation. To live according to the sacraments, given to us by Jesus, requires a gesture of humility which gives us the wisdom to choose the Lord and His message instead of being confused and living in the illusions of this world. This is the reason why it takes a lot of courage for a person in this current environment to accept to be a child of God.

These key competencies are a selection of 52 business keywords, beginning with the letters from A to Z. Although each is a basic content in doing business, all the keywords are considered important management knowledge, skills and mindsets. Furthermore, I refer to theories and books that seem like classics, in modern fast-changing business environments. Picking the old brains is a shortcut to coming up with your answers. However, you should not simply take advantage of the wisdom as it is, but rather, modify it to suit your environments and use it in your own way. The Emergent Method Part 2
This book introduces readers to the philosophical theory of Emergentism. It explores Emergentism's many ramifications in areas of science, phenomenology, philosophy of mind, ethics and morality. The book suggests to readers how Emergentism may be incorporated into daily life in very practical ways. The book's list of far-reaching ideas is extensive, but somehow none of the ideas presented is completely unfamiliar. The notions are simple and naturalistic. Here are two examples: -We can solve the hard problem of consciousness if we look at it from the perspective of nonlocal waves rather than local particles. -Free-will arises in a sentient being through an interoperability with its environment. Free-will is not an illusion, but independence from our environment is an illusion. The book is directed towards all those who question life, science, philosophy, and themselves.

Things They Don't Teach You In High School
This is my instruction book for you. It is a "life" instruction book, THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW TO LIVE BUT THEY DON'T TEACH YOU IN HIGH SCHOOL. I can't tell you the last time I used the Pythagorean Theorem, but I can tell you that yesterday I bought a roll of stamps, mailed two envelopes, and called two doctors offices. Things They Don't Teach You In High School teaches you how to perform many life skills, what you need to know to do it and include links to websites. Who Should I Give My Social Security Number To? How Do I fill Out A W-4? What do I do if I get pulled over? How do I survive if I get lost in the woods? Often, education does not include life skills such as recognizing a Toxic Relationship or What Are A Landlords Responsibility. When my own children didn't know how to fill out a thank you envelope, I started asking the youth athletes that I worked with the same questions that I asked them. "What do you do if you get in a car accident?", "What Is A Credit Score?", "How Do You Open A Checking Account?" and they didn't know the answers. That set me on a mission to write a book to help emerging young adults learn the skills they need to succeed at LIFE

Hair
Why is hair so news worthy? Historically, people believed in the power of hair rituals to transform an existing emotional state. Today, people are more skeptical. Certainly, responses to life crises do change over time, raising legitimate questions. In this study, I explore three current hair rituals that focus on this remarkable body part. By turning the lens, I discover how the symbolic use of hair to mourn is a rite of passage that marks real or symbolic death. In each case, a hair ritual is usefully reconfigured to meet the demands of a changing society while remaining connected to our vanished past through this stable conduit ― hair.

Considering the Journey
Considering the Journey was written to help perspective doctoral and PhD candidates get an idea of what to expect about the Doctoral Journey before signing on the dotted line from a person that made the journey. The author speaks from his experience of not knowing much about the journey before he began and how he fields questions from those that ask him about the experience before they make the decision to start a program. This is an invaluable guide that a perspective candidate can truly benefit from before making the commitment of time and money that they can't get back once they begin the journey. The author's insight is a personal one that only speaks to his individual experience as he negotiated the hurdles of the journey. This book is a true eye opener and a must read for candidates before they decide to begin the journey."The author realized he could help others by candidly sharing his own experiences getting into and successfully completing his doctoral program. He notes it is his hope that his book will help prospective students become more deeply aware of "important aspects" when considering earning one's doctorate and that such information can assist in making an "informed decision" as to whether such an academic endeavor is the right move for the reader".Reviewed by: Jonah Meyer, The US review of Books"Considering the Journey: One Doctors Perspective breaks the task down into discrete doable steps readers may not identify with, but utilize in their own journey to personal fulfillment, academic or otherwise. The book's take-home message is direct, impactful. Find your passion and pursue it like there's no tomorrow."Reviewed by: David Allen, Hollywood Book Reviews"This book is short and to the point, which is necessary for such a niche book. Dr. Evans explains how the book was initially planned to be longer, but he feels as if it would have distracted from the main point. Considering the Journey is easy to follow as he made the right choice by not filling it with a bunch of jargon. This book is not for everyone, but that is by design. If you are someone who is on the fence about whether they should go back to school again for a Ph.D., you will get a lot out of it."Reviewed by: Arthur Thares, Pacific Book Review
Dare to Believe God, Vol 2
Faith is one of the essentials of life. However, the challenge is how to be able to appropriate it to access the supernatural realm. Many people understand the concept of faith or know about faith, but they are not benefiting from it because they don't know how to appropriate it to get miracles or get God working for them. The concept of faith is what is going to create the manifestation of the divine. God has always wanted to work for us, and that is why He invited each of us to Himself. This invitation comes because He wants to do business with us. The business of faith is the only way in which one can receive miracles from God.- (From the introduction)In this book, "Dare to Believe God," Freeman Witherspoon, a military veteran, invites you to a dimension of believing God to take a new realm of life-a life of increase and influence. He unravels the power of faith. He brings you to understand: God can be trustedWithout faith, nothing happensGod has got you covered, and you have to believe Him.Challenges can be overcome through faithGreat things can be achieved through faithHow to condition your mind to believe the impossible.Filled with spiritual and inspirational thoughts. All messages shared here are thought-provoking. The goal is to challenge you to believe in God for the glorious future awaiting you in Christ and challenge you to accomplish incredible things.
People Change Like Seasons
At first, I thought I finally got over all of those life chapters while writing. But somewhere inside of me I wasn't healed from all of that at all. I don't feel the same anymore. Is It because I finally realized That I've been living for others All this time And not for myself..? Was I living for others and felt happy? Did I not live for myself all this time? It feels like a withdrawal symptom. How long will this last? I want to feel again... Do I have to live for myself for that? But no one has ever taught me how to live. How to love me. I learned how to love others. I learned how to live with others. For others. To make them happy, made me happy. I never learned how to live and love myself. Is that why I'm feeling weird? Because I want to make myself happy? Is that so? I don't feel the same anymore I don't feel different either So, what is this feeling? Is this even a feeling? I don't even know anymore. Is it because of the people I have lived for? For someone like me they'd choose not to die for? Have I lost myself by gaining you?

Love a special topic everywhere. What is love? Most people have a love for a person, place, or thing. Love to me, is a person that can love you no matter what happens, good or bad. The bad is by far the most difficult love to have. This means you will have to forgive and forget. Who does that and means it? There is only one person who has this kind of love and He has accomplished the love over and over again. Come on a journey with me and find out how I encountered unconditional love.

Understanding My Life's Journey
This book is a guide for helping adults to complete and share a Life Map project in a supportive group. I got connected with this ancient practice as director of a seminary program helping over a hundred adults complete and share a Life Map with their introductory spiritual formation class. This project was often viewed as their best learning experience. When Bethel University closed our East coast center, I helped fifty more adult leaders complete this transformative project for the New England Christian Study Center. I was most fortunate to be able to receive a Doctor in Ministry degree with Bethel University, investing five years of research on this signal practice inaugurated by Saint Augustine with the publication of his seminal Confessions in 397 AD. Now I am leading groups of adults for my church and community interested in exploring their legacy via a Life Map project. My guide begins with the church crisis that introduced me to Life Mapping, which helped me navigate a very difficult transition at midlife. The guide then leads an adult through reflection and journaling to complete and share their project with a supportive group, five steps completing this important life skill.
