Literature Review from the year 2019 in the subject Health - Public Health, grade: 4.5/5.0, Obafemi Awolowo University, language: English, abstract: In today's world, there exists an overwhelming body of literature with respect to some of the most common causes of infection including viruses, bacteria, and fungi among others. The rising cases of virulence and pathogenicity of these infection-causing micro-organisms in healthcare facilities has led to a consistent increase in hospital -acquired infections. This review attempts to highlight the current knowledge about the role of the universal standard precaution guidelines for tackling the challenge of the rising records of nosocomial infections with respect to healthcare professionals. In 2014, there was wide spread panic all over the west coast of Africa from Liberia to Guinea, from Nigeria to Sierra Leone as a result of the re-emergence of Ebola, a viral hemorrhagic disease. According to the Online New Telegraph report (2017) titled "Preventing re-emergence of Ebola", the relative low knowledge of the disease in some countries (in addition to other factors) had facilitated the spread of the viral disease within these African States. More importantly, the Nigerian case may be said to be particularly unique. In response to the call for action by the Ministry of Health (MoH), the Nigerian public had quickly adopted some precautionary measures, "People used face masks, hand gloves, hand sanitizers, refused to even shake hands with or hug acquaintances and friends." Unfortunately, it seemed that while the general public (even the least educated) had started taking measures against the contagion, a highly significant part of the population was left vulnerable. One of such grievous consequence led to the death of Dr. Stella Adadevoh (1956-2014), who had to make the ultimate sacrifice to avert a major pandemic similar to the death plague in Europe. Globally mental health illnesses affect more than 25 percent of all people during their lifetime. Issues on mental health are increasing worldwide and the causes are varied and many. According to the World Health Organization, mentally ill people often lack access to education, healthcare and opportunities to earn a decent living, which limits their chances of economic development and deprives them of social protection and recognition within the community.

Cranford analyzes the tensions, alliances, and compromises between security for workers and flexibility for elderly and disabled people, and she argues that workers and recipients negotiate flexibility and security within intersecting inequalities in varying ways depending on multiple interacting dynamics. What comes through from Cranford's analysis is the need for deeply democratic alliances across multiple axes of inequality. To support both flexible care and secure work, she argues for an intimate community unionism that advocates for universal state funding, designs culturally sensitive labor market intermediaries run by workers and recipients to help people find jobs or workers, and addresses everyday tensions in home workplaces.

I now mentor nursing assistants, nursing students, licensed practical nurses, registered nurses as well as nurse managers and nurse directors. You will be amazed how much of an impact you can have on someone. If I had a mentor throughout my career, I may have not made as many mistakes that I have and may have been further in my career as well. Although without mistakes, there is no growth. This was definitely an enjoyable experience for me. I will continue to put out information that is merely from my own experiences. As a nurse director, you must understand that nothing changes overnight, and you cannot do this by yourself. It takes a team approach in order to become successful and have good outcomes for your facility. Remember there is light at the end of the tunnel. Bachelor Thesis from the year 2017 in the subject Health - Health system, grade: A, course: Community Health and Development, language: English, abstract: This study aimed at assessing the knowledge, attitude and identifying the challenges experienced during the practice of exclusive breastfeeding among mothers of infants less than 6 months in Rusinga West Location. This study had three specific objectives namely, to assess mother`s knowledge on exclusive breast feeding, to determine mother`s attitude towards exclusive breast feeding and to identify challenges faced by mother`s during exclusive breast feeding practice. A descriptive cross-sectional study design was utilized. The study targeted mothers with infants less than six months of age in the location. Data was collected by administering structured questionnaires with closed and open ended questions to the targeted respondents. Data was entered into Microsoft Excel and analyzed using descriptive statistics and presented using tables and graph. A total of 84 respondents participated and the study findings showed that majority of the respondents 98%, (n=82) had heard of exclusive breast feeding and knew what it mean. Half of the respondents, 50%, (n=42) said they had experience difficulties while breast feeding and half of the respondents 50%, (n=42) also said they have not experienced any difficulty while breast feeding. It is worth noting that majority of the respondents still face challenges such as baby refusal to breast feed, inadequate breast milk, breast tenderness, pain during breast feed and sore nipples.

Die Auszubildenden m羹ssen eine hohe Bew瓣ltigungstoleranz gegen羹ber den Anforderungen in der Ausbildung und in der sp瓣teren Berufst瓣tigkeit mitbringen. Diese Resistenz gegen羹ber belastenden Situationen k繹nnte an der Resilienz, der psychischen Widerstandskraft liegen. Diese Arbeit untersucht die Auspr瓣gung der Resilienz von Auszubildenden des medizinischen Fachberufes Physiotherapie. Als Forschungsfeld wurden zwei Semester mit unterschiedlichem Fortschritt in der Ausbildung an verschiedenen Schulen f羹r Physiotherapie ausgew瓣hlt. Die Datenerhebung dieser Querschnittstudie mit 153 Probanden erfolgte durch einen Fragebogen, der die Messinstrumente Resilienz-Skala 13 von Leppert et al. (2008) und einen Fragebogen mit standardisierten Sozialvariablen beinhaltete. Die empirische Untersuchung basiert auf der Grundannahme, dass sich die Resilienz im Laufe der Physiotherapieausbildung ver瓣ndert. Zus瓣tzlich wurden 羹ber den Fragebogen der Sozialvariablen Zusammenh瓣nge der Auspr瓣gung von Resilienz und im Verh瓣ltnis zum Geschlecht, Muttersprache und weiteren Variablen untersucht. Die Ergebnisse zeigen ein divergentes Bild der untersuchten Kategorien. Es wurde ein signifikanter Zusammenhang zwischen der Auspr瓣gung von Resilienz und h繹heren Semester der Berufsausbildung, sowie zwischen der Auspr瓣gung der Resilienz und Bew瓣ltigungsm繹glichkeiten identifiziert. Ebenfalls wurde ein Zusammenhang von Resilienz und Wohnsituation best瓣tigt.

Das deutsche Gesundheitssystem zeichnet sich im internationalen Vergleich durch einen guten Zugang zur Gesundheitsversorgung, einen umfassenden Leistungskatalog und einem hohen Versorgungsstandard aus.
