Epidemiological Study of Gynecological Cytology in the Algarve Population
Cervical cancer (CC) is the fourth leading cause of cancer death in women globally and accounts for around 311,000 deaths annually. Persistent infection with the high-risk Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) is the most common cause of CC. The prevention of CC is based on gynecological screening (Pap test), which makes it possible to classify the degree of existing lesion, as well as to identify other alterations such as the presence of fungi, bacteria, protozoa, which may contribute to the development of these lesions and subsequent neoplasia. There is therefore a need to analyze the results of gynecological screening exams in the Algarve's female population, in order to identify possible cases of CC in its early stages.Objective: To analyze the prevalence of cancerous and precancerous lesions in the Algarve's population, by studying the results of gynecological cytologies carried out at the Anatomical Pathology Service of the Hospital Particular do Algarve.Methodology: Data was collected on the results of gynecological cytological analyses of female users aged between 25 and 65 years, carried out at the Hospital Particular do Algarve.

Down On The Corner is the story of music performed on the streets, in subways, in parks, in schoolyards, on the back of flatbed trucks, and beyond, from the 1920s to the present day.One day around 1970, my father announced to me that he'd like to take me to Maxwell Street Market, an open-air flea market adjacent to Downtown Chicago. He wanted to show me where his parents used to take him shopping as a child. When he parked his car in the University Of Illinois lot, the first thing I heard, long before I could see where it was coming from, was the sound of a slide guitar--not just any guitar but a National steel resonator guitar. We followed the music and found ourselves standing on the west side of Halsted Street, midway between Roosevelt and Maxwell, where Blind Arvella Gray was playing the folk/blues song 'John Henry'--a song that seemed to have no beginning and no end. Sensing that his audience was generally passing by rather than gathering around, Gray kept playing that one song for his entire shift. He'd even altered the lyrics to refer to the local streets. In that moment, I developed a lifelong affinity for the informality, spontaneity, and audience participation of busking.Drawing on years of interviews and eyewitness accounts, Down On The Corner introduces readers to a wide range of locations and a myriad of musical genres, from folk to rock'n'roll, the blues to bluegrass, doo-wop to indie rock. Some of the performers he features--Lucinda Williams, Billy Bragg, The Violent Femmes--went on to become international stars; others settled into the curbs, sidewalks, and Tube stations as their workplace for the duration of their careers. Religiosity, as a cultural aspect, arises in different ways according to the environment in which it is inserted, its conditioning factors delimited by historical-geographical characteristics, covered by social reasons. The congada is no different, and viewing it with the care of a non-material heritage preserves a memory and allows the concepts of sustainability to be applied, in other words, guaranteeing future generations access to the goods we enjoy. This study is based on the consolidation of a popular system of expression, which in general presents the views of those who produce and observe it, thus allowing the maintenance of a cycle that guarantees access to local history.

Agricultural systems and water quality in river basins
This work sought to identify factors that condition the agricultural management carried out by rural producers in two small watersheds in the municipality of Paragominas (PA) and the impacts of these practices on water conservation and quality. To this end, the study related water quality in various stretches of watercourse to land use; it also compared, based on secondary data, water flows between the vegetation and the atmosphere for the different land uses. The main conditioning factors identified were: land use and property management; non-compliance with environmental legislation relating to the conservation of water and forest resources; economic interests to the detriment of sustainability and the absence of an integrated view of the landscape for the adoption of conservation practices. It was found that the drop in water quality in these basins occurs in different ways.

Popular Music in a Digital Music Economy
In the late 1990s, the MP3 became the de facto standard for digital audio files and the networked computer began to claim a significant place in the lives of more and more listeners. The dovetailing of these two circumstances is the basis of a new mode of musical production and distribution where new practices emerge. This book is not a definitive statement about what the new music industry is. Rather, it is devoted to what this new industry is becoming by examining these practices as experiments, dedicated to negotiating what is replacing an "object based" industry oriented around the production and exchange of physical recordings. In this new economy, constant attention is paid to the production and licensing of intellectual property and the rise of the "social musician" who has been encouraged to become more entrepreneurial. Finally, every element of the industry now must consider a new type of audience, the "end user", and their productive and distributive capacities around which services and musicians must orient their practices and investments.

The musical, whether on stage or screen, is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable musical genres, yet one of the most perplexing. What are its defining features? How does it negotiate multiple socio-cultural-economic spaces? Is it a popular tradition? Is it a commercial enterprise? Is it a sophisticated cultural product and signifier? This research guide includes more than 1,400 annotated entries related to the genre as it appears on stage and screen. The history of maths as a teaching methodology in Ba穩a Formosa/RN
The general aim of this study was to analyse how the History of Mathematics is being used in the classroom as a methodological resource in the teaching and learning of mathematics by teachers in the municipality of Ba穩a Formosa - RN. To this end, we chose as a basis some theorists such as Miguel and Miorim (2011), D'Ambr籀sio (1999), Mendes (1997), Miguel (1997), among others. The research was designed as a case study, of a qualitative and exploratory nature. In order to achieve the proposed objective, we drew up a questionnaire for data collection, which was applied to four maths teachers from primary and secondary schools in the municipality of Ba穩a Formosa/RN. The aim was to contribute to the teachers' practice by reflecting on and looking for methods that could help and enrich the students' teaching-learning process. The results of the research showed that the use of the History of Mathematics is restricted to what is presented in textbooks, the main reason being the lack of knowledge about the History of Mathematics, caused by the lack of a History of Mathematics subject in academic courses and continuing training.
Nursing care for patients in cardiac arrest
The content of the book deals with nursing care for patients in cardiopulmonary arrest: the knowledge and practice of nurses who provide assistance to patients in cardiopulmonary arrest (CPR) in a hospital environment. This is a descriptive, exploratory study with a qualitative approach, in which 40 nurses took part, using semi-structured interviews as a technique and thematic content analysis to explore the data. It was found that the majority of nurses lack knowledge and updating on the subject, and have difficulty in carrying out Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with quality. There is a need for updates on CPR guidelines, as these are essential for providing efficient care, suggesting continuous theoretical and practical training, giving teams the opportunity to express their difficulties and improve their knowledge. This opens up space for discussion, training and the development of new studies.

Schubert's Piano
The piano features prominently in Schubert's musical output throughout his career, not only as an instrument for solo piano pieces (for two and four hands), but also in Lieder and chamber music as an equal partner to the voice or other instruments. His preference for the instrument is reflected in contemporary reports by his friends and colleagues as well as in iconography, where he is frequently depicted at the piano. The prefabricated concrete construction system, because it is industrialised, has great potential and meets most of the requirements that the market demands, both in terms of quality and speed of execution. With this as a basis, this work aims to present the prefabricated concrete construction system and point out guidelines for the proper covering of the 'PI slab', developing a booklet with guidelines to be used in a precast factory.

Thirdly, at age six, piano lessons were added to her daily schedule with strict rules. "Once you start, you can never stop! You must practice one hour a day, seven days a week, including your birthday and all holidays. It should be a routine just like brushing your teeth!" explained her mother, carefully. Somehow our author signed up for this commitment!She studied with various teachers throughout the years. Finally, as a young adult, under the guidance of Edith Knox, herself a graduate of the famed Juilliard School of Music in N.Y. At the prestigious music school, Miss Knox had the privilege to hone her technique along with learning advanced theory from a Russian professor who, himself, had his tutorship with the well-respected romantic composer, Sergei Rachmaninoff.Eventually, after college, the author became a piano teacher. It wasn't until she married that she studied writing. Her father-in-law had been asked, in 1939, to head Universal Pictures in order to save the failing film studio from bankruptcy. The social history of the world is constantly being challenged by the multidimensional phenomenon of poverty in all countries. In this way, the search for effective solutions, by reducing the absolute numbers of vulnerable families, is constantly based on direct income transfer programs. Consequently, the aim of this concluding paper is to demonstrate how the Brazilian federal government, by reformulating the concept of welfare, has been able to achieve a reduction in the population's social restrictions. Based on these premises, it uses theoretical and historical foundations to point out a retrospective of poverty in Brazil, the chronological process of income transfer programs in the world, Latin America and Brazil and a conceptualization pertinent to the Bolsa Fam穩lia Program. At the end of the research, the conclusion is that the program has reformulated an ideal way out for families in abnormal survival conditions, but it still makes clear the need for persistent investment in job creation, greater income distribution and incentives to increase national production.

Charting the history of the Royal Musical Association over 150 years: from scientific roots and the long resistance of British universities to music study, to bringing UK musicology to worldwide recognition. This book is the first comprehensive history of the Royal Musical Association. Drawing on extensive archival material and exploring a host of colourful people, it paints an absorbing picture of scholarly achievement in Britain across 150 years. Founded in London in 1874 as a learned society for musical research, the Association emulated the venerable Royal Society in welcoming diverse backgrounds, but went further by including women. Charting its scientific roots and the long resistance of British universities to music study, the narrative shows how the Association published a strong body of research independently, blossoming from 170 members in the 1870s to more than 1400 today. Early joiners included the scientists William Pole and John Tyndall (a founder of climate science), the art historian Elizabeth Eastlake, and musicians from John Stainer to Agnes Zimmermann. Their goal was to 'investigate' and 'discuss' music rather than perform it or give concerts. Because no member was yet trained in what would later be called musicology, the papers covered an eclectic range of scientific, ethnographic and historical questions, broad in scope and responsive to heard music. Whether measuring acoustic phenomena, studying popular music or deciphering manuscripts of early polyphony, the Association promoted wide engagement as well as the establishment of academic musicology. Meanwhile, members including W.B. Squire, Edward J. Dent, Thurston Dart and Stanley Sadie transformed public understanding. Their work in music library development, opera, Musica Britannica, early music, criticism and music lexicography helped gain global recognition for British scholarship. With arts study under pressure in the current uncertain climate, the Association's recent concern for real-world issues in diversity, practice-based research and the vital role of music in schools remains true to its founding spirit.

Music Under the Soviets (1955) examines the concept of Soviet music, its special characteristics and its differences from the musical tradition of the West. As the musical practice under the Soviet totalitarian dictatorship, it should be viewed as the musical policy of that regime, a policy which aims at the 'reconstruction' of not only the historically developed musical forms but the essence of music itself as artistic creation. It was during the years of Stalin that Soviet music acquired its peculiar features, developed its most characteristic distinguishing marks, and determined the paths of its evolution.
Diagnostic experiences of adolescents with hemato-oncological disease
Research presented to the Nursing School of Coimbra to obtain a Master's degree in Child Health Nursing and Pediatrics, under the supervision of Dr. Manuel Gameiro (Coordinating Professor of the Nursing School of Coimbra). My personal thanks go to the Adolescents and their Parents for their willingness to collaborate with me and make it possible to carry out this research by sharing their experiences of cancer. From roof to roof
Parkour is a physical activity of French origin in which its practitioners travel along a route overcoming the obstacles they encounter along the way, quickly and fluidly, using only their bodies. Given the physical demands of the sport, this activity has great potential to be used in Physical Education as curricular content in schools and also as a method for physical fitness. Although it is not directly linked to Physical Education as a higher education course, the mutual contributions that can be obtained from this link are very promising. But is there room for practicing this sport in the academic environment? The aim of this study was to introduce Parkour into higher education in Physical Education and assess its acceptance by both academics and the community.

Sleep deprivation is a common situation among students and can cause health and learning problems. Graduation is a period in which the individual prepares to become a professional and enter the job market. They have to attend classes, develop projects, complete hours of complementary activities, do internships, among other activities. As a result, the population in higher education, most of whom are young, may experience greater sleep deprivation with a tendency towards excessive sleepiness during the day, resulting in memory problems, reduced school performance, behavioral problems, irritability, tension and anxiety. This makes university students a group that needs attention in relation to their sleep complaints so that prevention and early diagnosis of disorders can take place.
The Royal Musical Association
Charting the history of the Royal Musical Association over 150 years: from scientific roots and the long resistance of British universities to music study, to bringing UK musicology to worldwide recognition. This book is the first comprehensive history of the Royal Musical Association. Drawing on extensive archival material and exploring a host of colourful people, it paints an absorbing picture of scholarly achievement in Britain across 150 years. Founded in London in 1874 as a learned society for musical research, the Association emulated the venerable Royal Society in welcoming diverse backgrounds, but went further by including women. Charting its scientific roots and the long resistance of British universities to music study, the narrative shows how the Association published a strong body of research independently, blossoming from 170 members in the 1870s to more than 1400 today. Early joiners included the scientists William Pole and John Tyndall (a founder of climate science), the art historian Elizabeth Eastlake, and musicians from John Stainer to Agnes Zimmermann. Their goal was to 'investigate' and 'discuss' music rather than perform it or give concerts. Because no member was yet trained in what would later be called musicology, the papers covered an eclectic range of scientific, ethnographic and historical questions, broad in scope and responsive to heard music. Whether measuring acoustic phenomena, studying popular music or deciphering manuscripts of early polyphony, the Association promoted wide engagement as well as the establishment of academic musicology. Meanwhile, members including W.B. Squire, Edward J. Dent, Thurston Dart and Stanley Sadie transformed public understanding. Their work in music library development, opera, Musica Britannica, early music, criticism and music lexicography helped gain global recognition for British scholarship. This work is about investigating whether and what the contributions of physical activity are for people with Down's Syndrome. The idea behind this production is to provide more in-depth scientific knowledge about people with Down's Syndrome who practise physical activities and to disseminate it to Physical Education professionals who are interested in exploring the area of inclusion further. In doing so, we aim to gather data on the influence that bodily practices will have on giving greater visibility to people with disabilities, more precisely, people with Down's Syndrome.
Reverse logistics for medicines
The improper disposal of waste medicines is a worrying factor for society. Considering the relevance of this worldwide problem, this study is a field research aimed at the commercial pharmaceutical sector in the city of Pombal, Para穩ba, Brazil, with the main objective of investigating the practice of reverse logistics in this sector. To this end, questionnaires were administered to those directly involved in the problem of disposing of this type of waste. It was found that most of the players involved are aware of the negative impacts caused by inappropriate disposal practices, but only those assessed who work in pharmacies (60%) said that they dispose of waste medicines correctly (incineration), unlike consumers, since the majority (88%) said that they dispose of this waste in household rubbish. It was clear that it is not enough to have an understanding of the negative impacts that this inappropriate practice causes, if this knowledge does not promote assertive measures to resolve the current problems.

Since the magazine's first issue in 1964, TeenSet's role in popular music journalism has been overlooked and underappreciated. Teen fan magazines, often written by women and assumed to be read only by young girls, have been misconstrued by scholars and journalists to lack "seriousness" in their coverage of popular music. TeenSet, Teen Fan Magazines, and Rock Journalism: Don't Let the Name Fool You disputes the prevailing conception that teen fan magazines are insignificant and elevates the publications to their proper place in popular music history. Analyzing TeenSet across its five-year publication span, Allison Bumsted shows that the magazine is an important artifact of 1960s American popular culture. Through its critical commentary and iconic rock photography, TeenSet engaged not only with musical genres and scenes, but also broader social issues such as politics, race, and gender. These countercultural discourses have been widely overlooked due to a generalization of teen fan magazines, which have wrongly presumed the magazine to be antithetical to rock music and as unimportant to broader American culture at the time. Ras Kimono was born on 9 May 1958 and was named Oseloke Augustine Onwubuya. He hails from Onicha Olona in Delta State and died on 10 June 2018 in Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria. He was a Nigerian reggae artiste whose debut album 'Under Pressure' was released on the Premier Music label in 1989. The album had other hits such as Rhumba Stylee, "Under Pressure" and "Natty Get Jail". He later released other hit albums that challenged western imperialism, slavery, colonialism, neo-colonialism, and African identity. He was an advocate of the poor, inequality, and social justice. His lyrics such as Under Pressure, Rhumba Style, What's Gwan? Gimme Likkle Sugar, Kimono De Want, Rastafari Chant, Natty Get Jail, Kill Apartheid, Rub A Dub Master' and Jah Guide reflects his fight against tyranny, African root, freedom, and self-realization.
