On the French sound aesthetics of the transverse flute in the 18th century
The essay "Zur franz繹sischen Klang瓣sthetik der Traversfl繹te im 18. Jahrhundert" by Magdolna Slenker examines the sound aesthetic ideals and playing techniques of the transverse flute in France on the basis of historical flute schools by Jacques-Martin Hotteterre, Michel Corrette, Antoine Mahaut, Charles De Lusse and Fran癟ois Devienne. The focus is on the analysis of instrument construction, posture, embouchure, flattement (vibrato) and breathing as well as their influence on the sound of the flute. The book also sheds light on the differences and similarities in the doctrines of these authors and their effects on the development of transverse flute playing. Composers in the Middle Ages
A reflection on the idea of the "composer" in the medieval period, including a study of the individuals and groups active in the creation of medieval music. The modern concept of the individual composer is central to accounts of Western music, and continues to represent a critical field of research in musicology. However, this approach cannot be straightforwardly transposed to the Middle Ages, as it does not reflect the complex creative realities of medieval composition, and conflicts with the evidence from extant sources and documentation. This collection, the first full-length study of the subject, questions and revises the concept of the composer for the medieval period through five thematic parts: 'Historiographical Critique', 'Ascriptions, Attributions, Signatures', 'Medieval Constructions of Authority and of the Authorial Persona', 'The Composing Workshop', and 'Composers as Communities'. Spanning a period from the seventh century to the early Renaissance, and taking in different cultural and geographical areas of Western Europe, the essays examine a range of repertoires and fields - plainchant, Latin devotional song, medieval motet, trouv癡re song, Ars nova, drama, and illuminated Gothic manuscripts - in diverse contexts, from clerical communities, to princely courts and lay workshops. The Possibilities of Learning Classical Guitar with the New ICTs
Technologies have influenced many areas of human life. Education is one of the areas that has been profoundly influenced. In this paper we seek to present some possibilities for the use of New Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) as a tool in the teaching-learning process of classical guitar. By analysing three types of content available on the Web (Video, Text and Audio) and some demonstrations of how to use them in the classroom, we will try to exemplify the possibilities of learning classical guitar using these technologies. To complement this statement, we will use excerpts from interviews with guitarists who use the virtual medium to disseminate knowledge about the instrument in question, as well as data from a survey of guitar students.

It looks at the genesis of care for abandoned children since the High Middle Ages in Portugal, in order to understand the culture of institutionalisation of children and adolescents in Brazil. The main advances in relation to the family and children and adolescents after the Democratic Rule of Law was achieved with the 1988 Constitution, the Statute of the Child and Adolescent, the Organic Law on Social Assistance and the New Adoption Law of 2009. In addition to pointing out the main challenges in realising the right to family and community life. Finally, the process of family reintegration for children and adolescents in institutional care is contextualised, using legal apparatuses that guide this process, as well as theoretical references with a critical bias. The authors also put forward proposals for tackling this challenge, which is complex but possible.

Creation of a Bande Originale de Film ? l’?re du Num矇rique
This book deals with the creation of film soundtracks in the digital age: technical possibilities and experimentation. The aim of this research is to provide composers with tips on how to create successful film soundtracks using digital equipment. To achieve this goal, we have opted for approaches based on the semiotics of cinema, as thought by Christian METZ in "Essais sur la signification au cin矇ma", the semiotics of music, as thought by Nicolas MEE?S in his work "Une approche s矇miotique de la musique", and the theory of experimentation by Michel DEVELAY in his work "Sur la m矇thode exp矇rimentale". This work is divided into four chapters: a first chapter on understanding digital music and soundtracks, a second that sheds light on analog composition, a third chapter on the composer's possibilities in the digital age, and a final chapter on experimenting with the compositional possibilities of the digital age on a concrete project.
Evaluation of Environmental Management Policies
The aim of this research was to analyze the legal frameworks related to environmental management in the municipality of Pombal-PB, checking their effectiveness in promoting environmental health. To this end, the following methodological steps were taken: gathering data and information from public and accessible sources, such as government databases, institutional websites, annual reports and official documents; characterizing the municipality's environmental management; and calculating the Local Environmental Management Index (IGAL) and the Environmental Health Index (ISA). Based on the results determined, it was found that the municipality has a suitable structure for developing and optimizing local environmental management, with the existence of specific bodies to deal with environmental issues, as well as regulatory resources and management tools aimed at preserving the environment. The result of the Local Environmental Management Index placed the municipality in the medium level of implementation of environmental management instruments, and the resulting value of the Environmental Health Index was in the medium health class.
State Law 2009/16 regulating the use of mobile phones in the school environment
This book is the result of an academic study that addresses a contemporary issue that deserves critical attention when it comes to mobile technologies in the context of the knowledge society. The creation of laws to direct how technological resources should be used in the classroom has generated conflict and varied interpretations by educators. The truth is that the use of technological resources, especially so-called mobile devices such as mobile phones, creates impasses, concerns and challenges for schools when it comes to using these devices as pedagogical support in the teaching/learning process. It's a challenging and thought-provoking issue that cannot fail to be discussed by education professionals who are responsible for training the new generations of the digital age.
Identifying Environmental Impacts at the Dump
The aim of this study was to identify the environmental impacts of the open dump in the municipality of Caic籀-RN in order to propose mitigation and compensation measures. The methodology used to carry out this work was based on bibliographical research, field visits, photographic records, satellite images, software and the use of specific methodologies from the bibliography that are fundamental for assessing environmental impacts: the checklist method, the ad hoc method and the interaction matrix. Through the interaction matrix in the operation, decommissioning and closure phases between the activities and the environmental components, it was possible to determine that the physical, biotic and anthropic environments suffered significant impacts, with 51 impacts being identified. The most significant impacts were the inadequate disposal of solid waste and the burning of garbage. Among the main measures indicated were the construction of a sanitary landfill as an appropriate solid waste disposal measure, as well as not burning the waste until the system is decommissioned.
Analysis of Construction Waste Management
The aim of this study was to evaluate the procedures and stages of solid construction waste (SW) management in the municipality of Coremas-PB, as well as its correct disposal. Observations and photographic records were taken of the main construction projects underway in the city, in order to verify the handling and packaging of construction waste in these buildings. Bibliographical research was used to present the legal and regulatory aspects currently in force in Brazil, in the state of Para穩ba and especially in the municipality in question. The management of this waste was also evaluated, considering the stages of storage and packaging, transportation, final disposal, reduction, reuse and recycling, some of which were found to be inadequate. This is a city in which the processes of reducing, recycling and reusing this waste are not widely disseminated or practiced, despite their essential nature. Added to this is the difficulty in accessing recycling plants, of which there is only one in the state of Para穩ba, located in Jo瓊o Pessoa, thus hindering the recycling process due to its economic unfeasibility.

Correlation between Body Adiposity Index and Body Mass
The use of anthropometry has been identified as the most appropriate parameter in physical assessment and is fundamental to helping Physical Education professionals diagnose body composition. There are various techniques and methods for assessing body fat, but some require specific equipment which is often expensive and unsuitable for any environment. Recently, the Body Adiposity Index (BAI) was introduced with the aim of estimating body fat percentage in a practical way, using only hip circumference and height measurements. This index is also an alternative method to the Body Mass Index (BMI) for identifying body composition. The importance given to measurements has been reinforced at all ages, especially with regard to body dimensions that can reflect the state of health of an individual or a certain population. For this reason, we are trying to elucidate the two indicators so that we can highlight the benefits of both and better identify the most accurate index at the time of physical assessment.
Language and communication in the Spanish of health care
The work is proposed as an approach to the language of medicine and health in the Spanish-Italian direction. The study begins by addressing the importance of defining, first of all, health in the context of languages for specific purposes, taking into consideration both the thematic components that identify it and its communicative dimension, which is based on the level of the participants and the communicative purposes (expert-expert communication; expert-semi-expert communication; expert-layman communication). Once Spanish has been described in the framework of languages for specific purposes, we move on to the analysis of its defining features at the lexical level, at the morphosyntactic level and at the pragmatic-discursive level. Training in alcohol and other drugs
Mental health care in Brazil is undergoing transformations, with the implementation of the Psychosocial Care Centre (CAPS), which represents the axis of the psychosocial network, replacing the hospital-centric model. As a consequence of the transformation of this model, it was necessary to review the training of CAPS professionals, since there is a notorious lack of continuing education in the field of mental health. The aim was therefore to assess the effectiveness of the training of professionals working in the Caps who had completed the refresher course on drugs. This is a descriptive and exploratory study with a qualitative, cross-sectional approach. The data was analysed using content analysis and the following Thematic Categories were defined: 1 - Attitudes and beliefs; 2 - Specific knowledge; 3 - Good practices and; 4 - Training. The sample consisted of eight professionals, 75 per cent of whom were male, with a predominance of professionals with a university degree. The evaluation of the effectiveness of professional training shows positive aspects in terms of the practice of caring for users and their families, with a view to establishing a bond with the service.

Psychological violence against women in the domestic sphere
This research paper analyses the treatment of women in the domestic sphere from the earliest times to the present day. It looks at the related legislation in force in each period and how it has changed in line with the evolution of society and women's achievements. It exposes the different forms of domestic violence, emphasising psychological violence, which has only recently been included in Brazilian legislation through the Maria da Penha Law. In this sense, it analyses how psychological violence occurs, associating it with the profile of the victims and the aggressors, and also seeks to present protective measures provided for in the law that can not only alleviate, but in many cases curb its occurrence.
Blues Mamas and Broadway Belters
In Blues Mamas and Broadway Belters, songwriter, scholar, and dramatist Masi Asare explores the singing practice of black women singers in US musical theatre between 1900 and 1970. Asare shows how a vanguard of black women singers including Gertrude "Ma" Rainey, Bessie Smith, Ethel Waters, Pearl Bailey, Juanita Hall, Lena Horne, Eartha Kitt, Diahann Carroll, and Leslie Uggams created a lineage of highly trained and effective voice teachers whose sound and vocal techniques continue to be heard today. Challenging pervasive narratives that these and other black women possessed "untrained" voices, Asare theorizes singing as a form of sonic citational practice--how the sound of the teacher's voice lives on in the student's singing. Analysis of Solid Health Service Waste Management
The aim of the study was to investigate waste collection, treatment and disposal practices in this unit, considering technical, regulatory and environmental aspects in an Emergency Care Unit located in Pombal, Para穩ba. To this end, an exploratory-descriptive study was carried out, supported by bibliographic and field research techniques, in which we sought to observe, analyze, correlate and describe events or phenomena, including their variables, without manipulating them, through data collection. The results revealed challenges and opportunities in the management of healthcare waste in emergency care settings. The research offers valuable insights for improving waste management strategies at this facility, contributing to the safety of health professionals, public health and environmental preservation. It was identified that the establishment evaluated has a specific plan, focusing on the management of solid waste from health services, in addition to complying with health rules made available in legislation.
