The Learning Imperative
Why do academic health systems keep failing at transformation-despite brilliant people, adequate resources, and genuine commitment? After a decade working inside academic health systems across three continents, physician-scientist Nabil Zary has identified a pattern that explains why most improvement initiatives quietly die within 18 months. It's not a lack of effort. It's not resistance to change. It's something more fundamental-and more fixable-than anyone wants to admit. The uncomfortable truth: Most health systems are trying to solve an organic problem with mechanical tools. They teach emergent learning principles through linear processes. They pursue culture change through committee structures. And they wonder why nothing sticks. The Learning Imperative challenges everything you think you know about organizational transformation. Through unflinching analysis and real-world examples from systems that succeeded-and those that spectacularly failed-this book reveals: The five reasons transformation efforts consistently fail (and the one underlying cause that makes them all inevitable)Why governance-not culture, not technology, not training-is the foundational decision that determines whether your transformation succeeds or joins the 70% that failThe critical first 90 days that separate systems destined for breakthrough from those destined for yet another abandoned initiativeHow to conduct an honest organizational autopsy before launching your next transformation attemptThis is not a feel-good book. There are no easy frameworks or reassuring platitudes. Instead, you'll find diagnostic questions that force uncomfortable self-assessment, decision points that demand real commitment, and a clear-eyed roadmap for leaders ready to stop pretending and start transforming. If your organization has tried transformation before and failed, this book will tell you why. If you're about to try again, it might save you from repeating the same mistakes. The Learning Imperative is essential reading for health system leaders.

Getting Back On Track
Getting Back on Track This is a book that is going to rock you back on your heels and get you thinking along new lines. It will enable you to lift up your life and get free of social conditioning that has been crippling us all for thousands of years. In addition, the book will show you how many of the complications to health brought about by medical procedures and drugs over the last century, based on false understandings, can be resolved. Ten common homeopathic remedies in very high (mega) potencies, can release commonly stored emotions, attitudes and false beliefs, thus allowing the body to heal itself of a wide range of physical complaints. Read what these crippling beliefs are, how they have allowed us to be led along, like lambs to the slaughter, by the nose, into a cul-de-sac of personal, social and medical ignorance - and what you can do to get your life back on track. Healing your emotions, freeing yourself of your accumulated emotional baggage and getting your life on track, is not traumatic, not a slow process, does not require intense investigation into your childhood nor the re-experiencing of harrow traumas. It does not require hours or years of counselling, psychology, hypnosis, auto-suggestion, religious conversion, past-life therapy, meditation, vegetarianism, self-analysis, relationship analysis, praying, New Year resolutions, will-power, months in the wilderness or sailing singlehanded around the world. Getting Back on Track shows you the true healing. Not the way to unrestrained, detrimental emotions, not the way to violent outbursts of anger or floods of tears of grief, not the way to guilt-free irresponsibility. None of these is healthy, either. What you will get is personal growth, so that new insight gives you freedom from anger, freedom from grief, freedom from guilt, freedom from fear, and with this freedom, a new strength to take positive steps towards your own, and therefore planetary healing.

Struck Down By the Gods
Full Academic Colour Version: All 47 chapters, 14 appendices and full bibliography The headings are more academic, but the text is the same as the abridged version "Struck Down by the Gods" is the literal translation of the ancient word for stroke, apoplexy. This book describes the different types of strokes, their causes, and the medical conditions often mistaken for stroke. Although originally intended for the non-medical person who wants to know how to prevent stroke (and heart attacks), during my more than 12-year journey of discovery, I have learnt much that I believe would be of benefit to all healthcare professionals. The book contains interesting historical facts on the evolution of knowledge from ancient times, explains the difference between absolute and relative risk and benefit, and identifies the real cause of atherosclerosis A terrific book... Professor Steve Davis AO Based on our own experience we unreservedly commend this highly informative book to diverse audiences. including the lay audience, well-established neurologists, students of medicine, other healthcare disciplines as well as early career trainees. Enjoyment is assured! ...Professors Steve Davis AO, Geoff Donnan AO and Richard Gerraty. More about the Book This book describes the different types of stroke, their causes, and the medical conditions often confused with stroke. The abridged version is primarily intended for non-medical readers who want to know how to prevent stroke (and heart attack). This academic version contains all the scientific evidence that should be of benefit to all healthcare professionals. Atherosclerosis, the cause of virtually all ischaemic heart disease and a major cause of stroke, is the progressive accumulation throughout life of cholesterol beneath the intima of arterial walls. Based on irrefutable autopsy evidence, the book challenges the long-held belief that smoking, obesity, high cholesterol, diabetes, and high blood pressure are the primary causes of atherosclerosis. Although once established, risk factors exacerbate atherosclerosis, they cannot be the cause, firstly because the disease atherosclerosis develops decades before these risk factors occur and decades before the onset of symptoms (in some cases, prior to birth), and secondly, it occurs in the absence of risk factors. Many other reasons for challenging these beliefs are revealed. It discusses the risk factors that identify those who are at increased risk of developing symptoms of stroke and myocardial infarction related to the disease atherosclerosis, in particular, smoking and obesity. It makes a plea to regulatory authorities to change how industry-funded research is conducted and published, to provide greater certainty. It recommends the appointment of independent data and safety monitoring committees and the prohibition of industry confidentiality claims over the study data. Finally, it makes a plea to publishers to include a clear statement on the front page stating whether the study is funded by industry or not. Ensure that all papers discuss both relative risk reduction (the benefit to society) and absolute risk reduction (the benefit to the individual), the numbers needed to treat, and an economic analysis of the cost-benefit.
Natural Products and Their Modifications as Agents Used in the Fight against Pathogens
The increasing resistance of bacterial strains to commercially available antibiotics remains one of the most pressing challenges in modern medicine. Consequently, the identification and characterization of novel bioactive compounds of natural origin have become essential in combating this global issue. Equally crucial is the preservation of the intestinal microbiota, which plays a pivotal role in maintaining systemic homeostasis and overall health. Natural extracts exhibit diverse biological activities and frequently exert protective effects on the gut microbiota. Therefore, the rational design and selection of chemical modifications that enhance antimicrobial activity while simultaneously supporting immune functions, and demonstrating anti-inflammatory and anti-proliferative properties, are of particular scientific interest. This Reprint brings together research and review articles focusing on these key aspects. It presents studies comparing the biological activity of pathogenic bacterial strains and/or intestinal microbiota in the presence of natural compounds and their chemically modified derivatives. Manuscripts included in this collection also explore the bioactivity of crude plant extracts, isolated compounds, and dominant phytochemical combinations naturally occurring in plants. Moreover, this Reprint highlights the potential of extracts and their major constituents' processes. These approaches represent a promising direction in the ongoing development of novel therapeutic strategies against infections caused by multidrug-resistant microorganisms.

CoronApocalypse
This is scientific research from my recent book, not speculations replete with wild assumptive assertions. I ask you to think scientifically with me, now. Lay your emotions aside. My research, which I have exhaustively presented in my last book, The Invisible Enemy, including peer reviewed medical abstracts and references, suggests that: 5G Activated Nanotech is COVID 19 Nanotech is used to lock on to 5G and is essentially activated by 5G. Quite possibly, the nano tech delivery system is Chemtrails, as well as Vaccinations. Correspondingly, the ventilator calibrations we are seeing used with alleged COVID 19 patients are concurrent with what we see used with Acute Hypoxemic Respiratory Failure and NOT Coronavirus related Pneumonia or Influenza. In other words, 5G EMF driven Hypoxia related Thrombosis, leading to Acute Hypoxemic Respiratory Failure, is actually what we are seeing in alleged COVID 19 patients, which is immune system related and not virally contagious. Before the COVID 19 Eugenics Project was launched by Club of Rome puppet Bill Gates, the Climate Change Hoax was implemented by The Club of Rome to manipulate the world into economic submission. It did not work, largely due to its ludicrous propositions and unsupported and unscientific claims, and so the Club of Rome created an Invisible Enemy in the form of a super virus to succeed where Climate Change had failed. Now that virus fear has spread worldwide so well, they can easily backtrack and swoop up and reassert the previously failed Climate Change Agenda in order to finalize the necessary fear required for worldwide tyranny.Of course, this is all being processed through the conduit of the Luciferian Eugenics Philosophy of The United Nations, which is the vile and lethal stepchild of the Club of Rome, both parent and stepchild subservient to the goals and admonishments of Lucis Trust Publications.

Sometimes I use analogies and deep metaphors, so keep on your toes when you read this. (Prepare to think deep. In 2020 we have a pandemic taking over and no one knows what to do. Living in fear of disease is similar for us all. This book is helpful for all illnesses and the fear we live in from them. The use of deep analogy and visuals is my attempt to explain how someone may feel with an invisible illness. MS is a difficult condition and may leave people feeling helpless. As an MS patient with a bad autoimmune system, with corona, nothing has changed. The average person has no grounds for comparison. Sufferers, suffering this dragon of an illness, are all unique. Anyone with MS can feel comfortable in their individuality, but also know they are not alone. It is the glass half full approach that'll get you through the bad times.Written and self published from Quarantine during Coronavirus Pandemic 2020. Ross L. Getting Back On Track
Getting Back on TrackThis is a book that is going to rock you back on your heels and get you thinking along new lines. It will enable you to lift up your life and get free of social conditioning that has been crippling us all for thousands of years. In addition, the book will show you how many of the complications to health brought about by medical procedures and drugs over the last century, based on false understandings, can be resolved.Ten common homeopathic remedies in very high (mega) potencies, can release commonly stored emotions, attitudes and false beliefs, thus allowing the body to heal itself of a wide range of physical complaints. Read what these crippling beliefs are, how they have allowed us to be led along, like lambs to the slaughter, by the nose, into a cul-de-sac of personal, social and medical ignorance - and what you can do to get your life back on track.Healing your emotions, freeing yourself of your accumulated emotional baggage and getting your life on track, is not traumatic, not a slow process, does not require intense investigation into your childhood nor the re-experiencing of harrow traumas. It does not require hours or years of counselling, psychology, hypnosis, auto-suggestion, religious conversion, past-life therapy, meditation, vegetarianism, self-analysis, relationship analysis, praying, New Year resolutions, will-power, months in the wilderness or sailing singlehanded around the world.Getting Back on Track shows you the true healing.

Phytochemicals in Cancer Chemoprevention and Treatment
Despite significant progress in anticancer therapy, cancer remains the second most common cause of death worldwide after cardiovascular disease. One of the main problems associated with the failure of anticancer therapy is the resistance to cytostatics observed in cancer cells, which is largely related to the ability to inhibit programmed cell death. These changes result in cancer cell survival, the accumulation of mutations, and, consequently, increased invasiveness. Observed side effects of the therapies used are also a significant problem. Therefore, the continuous search for innovative cancer treatment methods and new groups of compounds with anticancer activity is extremely important. Phytochemicals present in various medicinal plants possess enormous chemopreventive potential. We strongly encourage you to read this Reprint, which demonstrates the enormous importance of phytochemicals in cancer chemoprevention and treatment in various experimental models. We hope that the findings not only confirm their potential anticancer properties but also inspire further research.

New Advances in COVID-19 and Pregnancy
Based on what is known at this time, pregnant women are at an increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19 compared to nonpregnant women. Additionally, pregnant women with COVID-19 might have an increased risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes. Therefore, there is a need to investigate the effects of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on the mortality of pregnant and postpartum women. Worldwide, there are more than 140 million births every year, and pregnant women are potentially at risk for adverse outcomes of novel coronavirus. Although maternal mortality has been reported in some studies, limited information is available about SARS-CoV-2 infection in critically ill pregnant women who are hospitalized for COVID-19.This Special Issue summarizes well-established data on the clinical manifestation of COVID-19 in pregnant women, maternal and perinatal outcomes associated with COVID-19, the risk of vertical transmission of the virus, and the effect of SARS-COV-2 infection during pregnancy on fetal and neonatal outcomes. The data provided by the papers included in this Special Issue will allow researchers to determine the maternal, fetal, and neonatal risk associated with SARS-COV-2 infection during pregnancy and may help to provide evidenced-based and personalized recommendations for the care of pregnant women with COVID-19.

Therapeutic Potential of Natural Products in Internal Diseases
In recent decades, significant progress in drug development has transformed the treatment of internal diseases, improving both outcomes and prognosis. However, these advances frequently come with a cost: serious, sometimes even life-threatening side effects. Many clinicians acknowledge the need for alternatives but commonly lack the knowledge or confidence to use them. Meanwhile, a growing number of people are turning to complementary or alternative approaches, particularly herbal medicines, and they often adopt healthier lifestyle changes alongside these treatments. Despite this trend, skepticism toward natural products remains strong in mainstream medicine, largely due to the limited amount of high-quality evidence. The Special Issue "Therapeutic Potential of Natural Products in Internal Diseases" was created to address this challenge. It presents original research and critical reviews exploring how natural products may contribute to treating these conditions. Together, the studies highlight both the opportunities and the obstacles in translating traditional knowledge and early findings into evidence-based therapies.

If you're about to try again, it might save you from repeating the same mistakes.Essential reading for health system leaders.
