To study the prevalence, phenotypic characteristics, clinical impact, and outcomes of E. coli strains with LLQR and/or LLFR (low-level quinolone and/or fosfomycin resistant), treated with ciprofloxacin and fosfomycin, according to the urinary pH.

Many studies have been done on pharmacological effect of ginger extract and our paper has been focused on cytoprotective effect of ginger on ethanol induced gastric injury in mice. Many drugs have been used in the treatment of peptic ulcer but each of them associated with different side effect so trends today toward use of herbal medicine which was associated with adverse effect. Ginger hydroalcoholic extract contain different consistent with anti-ulcer properties like 6-Gingersulfonic acid and three monoacyldigalactosyl glycerol including ginger glycolipid A. B. C .The mechanism of ginger extract may be due to counteracting the active oxidant radicals, decreasing mucosal cell shedding and thicking the mucus membrane so ginger extract has antiulcer properties when used in accurate dose and accurate duration. Methylene Blue (MB) is a blue dye first developed by a German scientist, Heinrich Cato in 1876. Originally used as a textile dye but later found to have medicinal properties. This book discusses the use of MB in clinical medicine. The book also looks at the historical uses of methylene blue, such as in the treatment of malaria.As a dye, it can be used in surgery to highlight structures, such as fistulae. In pathology, it can be used as a tissue stain. In emergency medicine it can be used to treat methaemoglobinaemia, carbon monoxide poisoning as well as vasoplegic shock. In clinical medicine, MB can be used in a variety of conditions as it has anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial and anticancer properties. MB enhances the activity of the mitochondria and can be used to increase energy. MB can cross the Blood Brain Barrier and has been found to reduce neuroinflammation and can be used in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and a host of other degenerative diseases. Although much of the research has been done in animal models, due to the safety, it can be translated to human use.One great myth is that methylene blue is dangerous. To some extent this is true, however, this can also apply to any drug, vitamin, mineral and herb. Dosage is the key issue. Another key issue is that it is contra-indicated in certain people. Quality of Life After Surgically Treated Ankle Fractures
The general objective of this thesis was to evaluate and compare the functionality, pain and quality of life (QOL) of active and inactive adult individuals whose ankle fracture (AF) was surgically treated; and the specific objectives were: i) To conduct a systematic review evaluating functional outcomes and the QOL of patients with surgically treated AF compared with the nonfractured population; ii) To compare adult men and women residing in Brazil's interior who were treated with open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) following AF; and iii) To describe and prospectively analyze unstable AF, surgically treated through ORIF, in adults in the Jequitinhonha Valley region of Brazil. Questionnaires such as the IPAQ, MMSE, SF-36, VAS, and sociodemographic and clinical questionnaires were administered. The morphology of the AFs was analyzed according to the AO Foundation and Orthopaedic Trauma Association (AO/OTA) classification system. Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs) are chronic inflammatory intestinal conditions of unknown cause. The main types are Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC). Diagnosis typically involves clinical symptoms, laboratory tests, and endoscopic features, along with radiological exams like magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) enterography, which are crucial for diagnosing and staging CD. CT is effective for evaluating disease activity and complications, such as fistulas and strictures, particularly in acute cases. However, MRI has increasingly replaced CT due to its comparable sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy in diagnosing CD and assessing disease activity without radiation exposure. IBDs require ongoing treatment to manage inflammation and prevent progression. The therapeutic options have expanded significantly with advanced therapies, including biological treatments and small molecules. Nevertheless, surgery remains necessary for complications like abscesses, fistulas, perforation, and strictures, which occur in 48%-52% of CD patients within five years, or for diseases that do not respond to medication. Regular monitoring and therapy adjustments are essential to assess treatment response and identify those needing surgery. This reprint provides information on clinical, diagnostic, and treatment methods for IBDs.

Management of Dyslipidaemias
Cardiovascular disease remains a leading cause of death worldwide, with low-density lipoproteins and other atherogenic lipoproteins, such as lipoprotein remnants, playing a key role in the development of atherosclerosis. Beyond LDL cholesterol, the identification of biological, environmental, and genetic markers associated with remnant metabolism has improved cardiovascular risk prediction and informed treatment strategies. This Reprint examines rare and severe lipid disorders, including homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, refractory hypercholesterolemia, and severe hypertriglyceridemia, which continue to present major therapeutic challenges despite maximally tolerated lipid-lowering therapies. It also highlights the rapid development of novel inhibitors such as PCSK9, ANGPTL3, and APOC3, as well as emerging therapies derived from new mechanistic pathways. In addition, the link between metabolic conditions such as non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and cardiovascular events is explored.
