Management of hypovolemic shock at the prehospital level
This research analyzes the management of hypovolemic shock at the prehospital level, its objective is to know the protocols to intervene adequately in the patient so that he/she does not develop any type of irreversible damage. A mixed approach and descriptive method were used. The survey (paramedics) and interview (physicians) were used. The documentary information was obtained through the following platforms: Google Books and Academic, Repositories, online medical journals, among others, and an analysis of the notes found was determined by means of the MENDELEY program. As a result, the amount of information available to the paramedical professional is important to apply adequate protocols. In addition, it is indicated that the majority of patients attended in the prehospital area with hypovolemic shock per week varies between 1 to 4 patients and most of the patients are men, from the urban sector, being traffic accidents the main cause of trauma, affecting mostly the thorax, extremities, head and neck.

These were the participants in this qualitative study, the result of a master's thesis in Infectious and Parasitic Diseases (FAMED/UFMS), Brazil. This book is aimed at readers interested in finding out about this generation: what their conceptions are - how they conceive of the personal criteria for selecting their partners, homosexual relationships and the moral criteria used to differentiate the people with whom they should have an affective relationship. Experiences - of prejudice as a result of their HIV-positive status in various environments, and they described the locations of their love encounters, as well as the love experiences themselves. The fear of being rejected because of their HIV status and of transmitting HIV permeates the various forms of coping in hetero and homoaffective relationships, including the strategy used to reveal their HIV status to their partner and the motivation to adhere to treatment and condom use. Effects of the Relaxation Intervention on the Immune System of Postpartum Women
This study aims to evaluate the effect of the relaxation intervention on the immune system of mothers with low birth weight babies. 60 puerperal women (control and experimental groups) with babies weighing less than 2,500g and attending the Obstetrics Department of a public hospital in Esp穩rito Santo, Brazil, were assessed. Salivary immunoglobulin A (IgA) was used as an immunological parameter. The aim was to examine the correlation between the salivary IgA of puerperal women with low birth weight and age, behaviour and mood variables, as well as the effect of the intervention on salivary IgA. The data showed that the Relaxation intervention did not modulate salivary IgA in the experimental group after learning, internalising and practising the Relaxation technique. No correlation was found between the control variables and salivary IgA, but there was a reduction in the state of anxiety in the two groups studied, which was directly related to the type of maternal feeling towards the newborn.

Therefore, a descriptive, longitudinal and prospective study was carried out with the aim of characterizing skin and soft tissue infections in pediatric age, at the Iv獺n Portuondo General Teaching Hospital between July 2013 and December 2016. The working universe was 579 patients under 18 years of age seen in the emergency department for these pathologies and the sample consisted of 262 children under 18 years of age who were admitted to the pediatrics service with these diagnoses confirmed by microbiological study.

The importance of health education in prenatal care
In the gestational and puerperal period, women go through a series of changes and consequent adaptation is necessary, which can generate anxiety and fear for those who experience it. One of the options for coping with this condition is the implementation of educational actions in health in order to complement prenatal care, improve the quality of life of these women and newborns and contribute to reducing maternal and child mortality. The aim of this study was to find out how pregnant women who use the Parna穩ba Primary Health Care Centre view the health education they receive and its importance during prenatal care. The study was an exploratory field study with a qualitative approach and a sample of 17 pregnant women, using a semi-structured interview with open questions in January and February 2016. The results showed that the pregnant women understood the importance of these prenatal care activities and therefore attributed significant importance to them in terms of good pregnancy follow-up.

The universe consisted of 205 patients who presented pathological UAD between 22 and 24 weeks and the sample consisted of 183 patients who met the inclusion criteria.

Statistical process control methodology was developed by Walter Shewhart in the 1920s as part of his work on quality control in industry. Shewhart observed that quality is about hitting target specifications with minimum variation. While every process is subject to variation, that variation can arise from 'common cause' variation, inherent in the process, or 'special cause' variation which operates from outside of that process. This distinction is crucial because the remedial actions are fundamentally different. Reducing common cause variation requires action to change the process; special cause variation can only be addressed if the external cause is identified. Statistical process control methodology seeks to distinguish between the two causes of variation to guide improvement efforts. Job satisfaction among nurses
The subject of this research is the job satisfaction of nurses working in the Emergency and Intensive Care services of the ULS, Nordeste, essentially because of the scientific evidence which considers that professional satisfaction also boosts user satisfaction, the quality of care and the efficient use of resources, from a cost-benefit perspective. This is an observational, analytical and cross-sectional study of a quantitative nature, with a structured questionnaire applied to a population of 96 nurses. The sample showed low levels of job satisfaction, which shows the need to promote improvements in human resource management, boosting productivity and the performance levels of professionals by focusing on improving the factors that can interfere with their job satisfaction and consequently promote an increase in the quality of care provided.

Swallowing is a complex process that can be compromised by neurological, obstructive, degenerative or cognitive factors. Dysphagia is defined as the sensation of impediment to the passage of liquid or solid material when it is swallowed.It is important to ensure that people with swallowing disorders are able to hydrate and feed themselves safely. As a result, a working group was set up in my department, of which I am a member, in order to respond to these needs.This work reinforces the importance of nursing participation in the rehabilitation of patients with dysphagia. Changes in swallowing are associated with high rates of morbidity and mortality, due to the associated risks: dehydration, malnutrition, aspiration pneumonia and death.

Analysis of Management Factors in Malaria Patients
Benin changed its national malaria management policy in 2004, opting for Artemisinin-based Combination Therapies (ACTs). These have been adopted by the World Health Organisation as drugs for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria in endemic countries. To this end, various approaches have been developed to ensure their wide distribution. This research therefore aims to understand the social representations and uses of pharmaceutical antimalarial drugs in the A簿zo community of Togba (Abomey-Calavi commune). The methodological approach adopted is qualitative. Thirty stakeholders were interviewed, including twenty mothers/fathers of children under the age of five at household level, plus six pharmaceutical drug sellers, two health workers and two herbalists, during the second half of 2015. It emerged that the health system, at the centre of which are pharmaceutical antimalarial drugs, combines with 'traditional' knowledge to build popular knowledge about health in the A簿zo community of Togba.
Paediatrics
The aim of this study was to investigate parents' perceptions of play activities during their child's stay in paediatrics. The methodology used was qualitative, descriptive and exploratory. In the data analysis, a brief characterisation of the participants is presented first, followed by the three themes defined after reading and analysing the material obtained from the interviews. Playfulness as a facilitator during childhood hospitalisation highlights the importance given to the act of playing so that children can bring the cold hospital universe closer to their joyful childhood universe. Playfulness as an auxiliary tool in treatment and prognosis addresses the benefits that such activities bring to the child, being able to have therapeutic functionality during hospitalisation. Playfulness as a working tool for nurses points to the importance of professionals taking playfulness as a working tool, implementing it in their routine, aiming for more humane and sensitive professionals.
