The Further Tales of A Country Doctor
In 1976 Paul migrated from England to Australia with his then-wife in an attempt to rejuvenate their relationship. When that didn't work, and the marriage finally petered out, Paul decided to give up city life altogether and move to the country. There he served the locals of "Dixon's Bridge" and "Rushby" in central Victoria as their medical practitioner for thirty-plus years. In those three decades of service, he met lots of colorful and memorable people, became involved in many difficult and unforgettable cases, and lived his life to the fullest. In the stories in this, his second book about life in the country, readers are introduced to the residents of the local home for the elderly: Doris who danced as a teenager in the Folies Berg癡re; Marianne, who fought with the resistance in France; and Merv, who shared the smelliest house in Stoney Creek with his best mate, Charlie the ram. Readers will also meet Mario, the patriarch of a local Italian family, whose many cousins seem able to help Paul out with whatever he needs, including making furniture and mending pianos; Rita with her Viking vocabulary and razor-sharp intellect undamaged by ever having received any education; and Roxy, a teenager taken too early in a car crash in the rain.In amongst all of this Paul meets the love of his life: Helen. Unfortunately, Helen leaves for France shortly after they meet, leaving Paul with Chanel, a very pampered poodle, guardianship of which proves to present many challenges. The stories are all full of heartbreak, love, laughter, and inspiration, and will make readers laugh, smile, and cry as they get to know each of the characters. Paul also openly shares the time he was hospitalized, and his road to recovery which was made easier with the support of the whole community who embraced him as their own.

Radionuclide Treatments
This book has been designed to give a brief information on the development and current status of radionuclide treatments. Today, despite most of them have been accepted experimentally in the clinical guidelines, the number of the radionuclide treatments has been increasing gradually. Theranostic concept is the leading cause for this increase. Behind the radioiodine treatment for benign and malignant thyroid diseases, other radionuclide treatments that consist of I-131 metaiodobenzylguanidine therapy for neuroectodermal tumors, radionuclide pain palliation for bone metastases, radiosynovectomy, and selective internal radiation therapy were included in the book. All the chapters have been written by experienced nuclear medicine physicians.
Utilization of Cervical Cancer Screening Services among Female Health-Care Workers in General Hospitals
Research Paper (undergraduate) from the year 2021 in the subject Medicine - Diagnostics, Osun State University, course: Nursing, language: English, abstract: This study was conducted to determine the utilization of cervical cancer screening services among female health-care workers in Lautech Teaching hospital, in Osogbo, Osun state. A total sample size of 170 female health-care workers were recruited for this study. A descriptive cross-sectional design was utilized to assess utilization of cervical cancer screening services among female health-care workers. The data was collected through a self-administered questionnaire and consisted of six sections. The collected data were entered using Excel and later analysed using the "Statistical Package for Social Sciences 25". The data were presented using tables, a bar chart, frequency, and percentages. Furthermore, three null hypotheses were tested using chi square at 0.05 level of significance. Cervical cancer screening is a key to detect the pre-cervical cancer in an early stage, but it is rarely utilized in most developing countries and most cases are only diagnosed at a late stage of cervical cancer. The current screening level will not have any real effect to control cervical cancer unless female health-care workers are addressed since they act as a role model to the public.

Early complications of pacemakers and defibrillators
The rate of early complications related to the implantation of a pacemaker or defibrillator is not negligible. The aim of this study is to investigate the predictive factors of early complications. Methods: Cross-sectional study of the cohort of patients fitted between January 2011 and January 2018 at the cardiology department of Habib Thameur hospital in Tunis. Results: 441 patients were included. The mean age was 66.5 簣 11.1 years, 53.5% of patients were male and 54% of patients were diabetic. All patients had type 2 diabetes. Early mortality and morbidity rates were 0.22% (n=1) and 7.48% (n=33) respectively. Complications were pneumothorax in 18 cases (4.08%), infection of the lodge in 5 cases (1.13%), hematoma in 3 cases (0.68%) and catheter displacement in 3 cases (0.68%), cardiac perforation in 2 cases (0.45%) and thromboembolic complications in 2 cases (0.45%). In multivariate analysis, diabetes was the strongest independent predictor of the occurrence of infectious complications (OR =2.23 (CI:1.04-4.77), p=0.038).

Peritoneal dialysis is a technique of extra renal purification in its own right, it represents an excellent alternative to haemodialysis especially in the paediatric population, unfortunately it is still denigrated by patients who panic at the idea of being alone with their disease and largely prefer the comfort that haemodialysis provides. The role of the nephrologist is to reassure his patient and to guide him on the path of home extra renal cleansing, it is clearly imperative that the first adherent must be the practitioner and that passes by a total control of this technique. Through this manuscript and in six steps I propose a simple and efficient training allowing you to make your first steps in peritoneal dialysis and in total safety.
