It is often overlooked during the examination and it is difficult to diagnose, resulting in failure to diagnose many neuro-ophthalmologic diseases. Therefore, we should benefit from various neuro-ophthalmological examinations and diagnostic imaging tools.
A natural pharmacy
Flax is a herbaceous plant whose seeds are rich in polysaccharides, polyphenolics and essential fatty acids that are beneficial to health and could help prevent certain diseases.First, the effectiveness of this plant in healing experimental burns in rabbits was evaluated. Flaxseed oil significantly and rapidly reduced the surface area of the wounds compared to other treatments. The histological study showed that wounds treated with linseed oil showed thinning of the epidermis and more marked neo-vascularization of the granulation tissue, which is favorable for good tissue regeneration. Given these results, flaxseed oil could be suggested as a promising phyto-healing agent.The aim of the second experiment is to estimate the hair regrowth in adult rabbits. The trichogenic effect is quite marked. Indeed, the results show that the ingestion of flax seeds results in an increase in the length of the strands collected with a slight growth in the diameter of the hair. The use of this plant could thus be proposed as a promising treatment for alopecia.

Master's Thesis from the year 2021 in the subject Veterinary medicine, language: English, abstract: Salmonella is one of the most common foodborne and important zoonotic pathogens worldwide. Because of the difficulties in ensuring optimal hygienic food handling practices, the problem is even more severe in developing countries. A cross-sectional study with a simple random sampling approach was conducted to estimate the occurrence, identifying risk factors, and assessing the antimicrobial susceptibility profile of Salmonella isolated from fishermen and fish species from Fincha Lake. Salmonella was isolated, phenotypically identified by Omni Log and the antimicrobial susceptibility test was performed using the disk diffusion method and interpreted following the Clinical Laboratory Standard Institute recommendations. Tilapia (220), common carp (85), and catfish (79) were the most known fish species in Lake Fincha. Samples were collected from skins (65), Gills ( 96 ), Intestines ( 110 ), and Muscles (113 ) parts of these three species. Muscles 3 (2.65%) samples were found to be the most Salmonella positive, followed by gills 2 (2.08 %). No Salmonella was isolated from fishermen's hand swabs (0%).The prevalence of salmonella in fish was 1.30 % ( 95% confidence interval (CI ): 0.42-3.01 ).The overall prevalence of Salmonella in the study area was 1.21% ( 95% CI: 0.39-2.80 ) . All of the isolated Salmonella (n=5) belongs to S. Typhimurium Serovars. The antimicrobial susceptibility test revealed that the isolates were resistant to Cefotaxime, Tetracycline, and Ampicillin disks. However, Chloramphenicol, Sulfamethaxazole+Trimethoprim, Amoxicillin + Clavulanic acid, Gentamicin and Cefoxitin were found effective in inhibiting the growth of all of the isolates. It is a common theme in many books and films: when people get lost in a desert or a jungle and try to walk in a -straight line, they end up walking in circles. No matter how hard they try, at some point they will cross their own tracks and despair, because they realize that they will never make it back to civilization. Surprisingly enough, the belief that people walk in circles when lost is mainly based on anecdotal evidence and has never been studied systematically in a real desert or forest. Scientists have now presented the -first empirical evidence that people can't walk in a straight line and really do walk in circles when they do not have reliable cues to their walking direction. It turned out that these circles were rarely in a systematic direction. Instead, the same person sometimes veered to the left, sometimes to the right. Walking in circles is therefore not caused by differences in leg length or strength, but more likely the result of increasing uncertainty about where straight ahead is. Thinking about walking in circles and trying to walk a straight line-even with all the volumes of information we have accumulated about how life began we still - nd ourselves getting lost and turning in circles trying to solve one of sciences greatest outstanding mysteries. Even the individual pathways in metabolism are intricate. It is hard to imagine how such an intricate process could have started by itself.Complicating things further, each step is controlled by a molecule called an enzyme, which speeds up the chemical reactions in question. Enzymes are complicated molecules that can only be made through metabolism, under the control of genes.So, scientists face a biochemical chicken-or-the-egg dilemma: Which came -first, the chemical engine to build the cell, or the cellular mechanisms needed to build the engine?In the quest for -finding certainty in our pursuit for truth and understanding, it seems to me good council to consider what is written in 1Kings 19:11012. The Lord is not found in the strong winds, disasters, earthquakes or fire. After all is done, His answer will be found in -a still small voice.
