Case Study from the year 2020 in the subject Health - Health system, language: English, abstract: The study attempts to explore the impact and challenges of PHC delivery system with the intension of generating data for policy and planning. The goal of primary health care (PHC) was to provide accessible health for all by the year 2020 and beyond. Unfortunately, this is yet to be achieved in Nigeria and seems to be unrealistic in the next decade. The PHC aims at providing people of the world with the basic health services. Though PHC centers were established in both rural and urban areas in Nigeria with the intention of equity and easy access, regrettably, the rural populations in Nigeria are seriously underserved when compared with their urban counterparts. About two-thirds of Nigerians reside in rural areas therefore they deserve to be served with all the components of PHC. Primary health care, which is supposed to be the bedrock of the country's health care policy, is currently catering for less than 20% of the potential patients. While most PHC facilities are in various state of disrepair, with equipment and infrastructure being either absent or obsolete, the referral system is almost non-existent. The goal of the National Health Policy (1987) is to bring about a comprehensive health care system, based on primary health care that is promotive, protective, preventive, restorative and rehabilitative to all citizens within the available resources so that individuals and communities are assured of productivity, social well- being and enjoyment of living. Big Data in Cardiology. Predicting, Preventing and Managing Diseases

Conducting a comprehensive literature review and qualitative expert interviews, the impact of big data in the field of Cardiology was explored. The result of the study shows that big data can play a positive role in three aspects: prediction of disease, prevention of disease and management of disease. Big data enables us to build models that can be used to predict the occurrence of disease. Based on this information, actions can be taken to prevent the disease. Data also helps to manage the disease by offering helpful insights. Medical personnel can retrieve the patient data, with the help of AI, they can make faster decisions allowing them to spend more quality time with the patients and reduce cognitive errors. Through the interviews, it was understood that even though the positive role of big data has been acknowledged, the implementation is still a challenge due to various limitations. The challenges lie mainly on technical know-how and domain knowledge. Further challenges were data security and privacy issues that need to be addressed to mitigate the risks that can be caused by them. The examples of big data implementation in various cases like in heart failure prediction or prevention shows a positive picture. The overwhelming majority of case studies analyzed in this regard show an optimistic picture. Due to growing importance and use of smart devices, IoT, genomics and the recent developments in the field of ICTs, it is expected that big data will not only leave a positive influence on the field of Cardiology, it will also change the way medicine is practiced and healthcare is offered. Es ist allgemein bekannt, dass sich das Gesundheitssystem in den USA von dem deutschen Gesundheitssystem unterscheidet, da es in den Vereinigten Staaten keine Absicherung der gesamten Bev繹lkerung in Krankheitsf瓣llen gibt und somit keine Versicherungspflicht besteht. Daher existieren bislang nur Formen der freiwilligen privaten Versicherung, sowie eine staatliche Unterst羹tzung 瓣lterer Bev繹lkerungsgruppen (Medicare) und einkommensschwacher B羹rger (Medicaid). Ein Problem dieses Versorgungssystems besteht darin, dass sich die zust瓣ndigen Leistungsanbieter, wie ?rzte oder Krankenh瓣user, die den zust瓣ndigen Health Maintanance Organizations (HMO) f羹r privat Versicherte angeh繹ren, au?erhalb der Reichweite dieser Patienten befinden, sodass Betroffene keine andere Wahl haben, als selbst f羹r die Behandlungskosten aufzukommen. Chancen und Risiken des Masernschutzgesetzes. Entwicklung alternativer Ma?nahmen zur Impfpflicht
Akademische Arbeit aus dem Jahr 2020 im Fachbereich Gesundheitswissenschaften - Gesundheitsp瓣dagogik, Note: 2,0, Hochschule Osnabr羹ck, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Ziel der Arbeit ist es, die Chancen und Risiken des Masernschutzgesetzes aus Sicht der verschiedenen Zielgruppen zu er繹rtern. Auf Basis der Risiken werden im Rahmen der Arbeit alternative Ma?nahmen zur Masernimpfpflicht entwickelt. Die Ergebnisse dieser Arbeit zeigen, dass die Chancen des Masernschutzgesetzes vor allem im Abbau der praktischen Barrieren durch das f瓣cher羹bergreifende Impfen und in der finanziellen Unterst羹tzung der Bundeszentrale f羹r gesundheitliche Aufkl瓣rung liegen. Des Weiteren gibt es einige Risiken bei der Einf羹hrung der Masernimpfpflicht. Beispielsweise kann eine partielle Impfpflicht dazu f羹hren, dass andere Impfungen nicht mehr wahrgenommen werden. Die Impfquoten aus den EU-Nachbarl瓣ndern zeigen, dass eine Impfpflicht nicht zwangsl瓣ufig zu h繹heren Impfquoten f羹hren muss. Au?erdem gibt es verfassungsrechtliche Bedenken bzgl. der Umsetzung der Impf-pflicht in Deutschland. Auf Basis des 5C-Modells nach Betsch et al. wird im Masernschutzgesetz lediglich das f瓣cher羹bergreifende Impfen und die finanzielle Unterst羹tzung der Bundeszentrale f羹r gesundheitliche Aufkl瓣rung f羹r eine Verbesserung der Aufkl瓣rung umgesetzt. Alternative Ma?nahmen zur Impfpflicht k繹nnen Erinnerungs- und Recallsysteme sein. Eine weitere M繹glichkeit ist das Etablieren einer Widerspruchsl繹sung, wie es bereits in einigen L瓣ndern bei der Organspende der Fall ist. Beim Gesch瓣ftsmodellansatz werden f羹nf Teilmodelle untersucht, aus welchen sich ein Gesch瓣ftsmodell zusammensetzt. Aus der Analyse der Teilmodelle ergibt sich die Antwort auf die Frage "What is your business" (Drucker, 1954). Eine genaue Definition vom Gesch瓣ftsmodellansatz gibt es bis heute nicht, so gibt es verschiedene Ans瓣tze. Ziel ist es, mithilfe einer Gesch瓣ftsmodellanalyse, einen vereinfachten ?berblick 羹ber alle Gesch瓣ftsaktivit瓣ten zu erhalten. Je nach Ansatz werden verschiedene Teilprozesse zur Analyse vorgegeben - im Folgenden wird der Ansatz des im Studienbriefes erl瓣uterten Modells zugrunde gelegt. Wichtig ist es, im Rahmen einer Analyse, das Unternehmen ganzheitlich zu betrachten. Hierzu geh繹ren neben den externen Faktoren, die f羹r ein erfolgreiches Unternehmen wichtig sind, auch die internen Abl瓣ufe. Online Sexual Harassment among Young Women Students of Kathmandu District in Nepal. An Emerging Public Health Problem

It is a new form of sexual harassment, which is emerging as a public health issue with various health consequences, including mental and emotional health effects. The main objective of the research study was to determine the prevalence of online sexual harassment among young women students (15 to 24 years age group) in Kathmandu District, Nepal. Materials and Methods: A total of 382 young women students of 15 to 24 years age groups from different colleges and (or) universities representing (+2) levels and bachelor levels in equal proportion have participated in this quantitative type of cross-sectional study. A structured questionnaire in both Nepali and English language was designed for a self-administered kind of data collection and composed in six different sections. Result: About 66.5% of respondents reported exposure to online sexual harassment at least once in their lifetime, and most of the respondents (73.2%) were exposed to online sexual harassment multiple times (more than once or twice). About two-thirds (62.8%) of the respondents, among before the age of 18 years, were also exposed to online sexual harassment. The mean age group of online sexual harassment experienced was 18.94簣1.79 years. Utilization of Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive Methods. Associated Factors among Women of Reproductive Age
Master's Thesis from the year 2020 in the subject Health - Health system, grade: Very good, Rift Valley Institute Of Science And Technology (Rift Valley University), course: General public health, language: English, abstract: This thesis assesses the utilization of long-acting reversible contraceptive methods and their associated factors among women of the reproductive age group in Bishoftu's public health facilities. A health facility based cross-sectional study was conducted from March 16th to 30th 2020. A systematic random sampling technique was applied, in a total of 227 randomly selected women in the reproductive age group who attend Bishoftu's public health facilities. A structured questionnaire was developed using questionnaires that were applied in different studies related to family planning previously. The data was entered in a computer by using EPI-Info 7 version and cleaned then exported to SPSS version 20. Bivariate and multivariate logistic regression was employed to determine independent predictors of long acting and reversible contraceptive utilization. WHO reports indicated that, in 2017 alone, over 295,000 maternal deaths that resulted from pregnancy and delivery related complication were reported worldwide indicating a decline of 45% from 1990. The sub-Saharan Africa region accounted for 62% of maternal death followed by South-Asian countries (24%). Provision of family planning is one of the most effective interventions that prevent unwanted and ill spaced pregnancies by reducing maternal mortality and morbidity. Given its effectiveness and associated fewer visits to health facilities, LARC are very important in tackling maternal mortality and morbidity. However, little is known regarding its prevalence in Bishoftu eastern Ethiopia.

Im Methodenteil wird das Vorgehen der inhaltsanalytischen Auswertung des Artikels ausf羹hrlich dargelegt. Genutzt wurde zur Kategorienbildung das Programm MAXQDA. Im Ergebnisteil werden die anhand des Artikels zu den Kategorien zugeordneten Textstellen aufgezeigt. Im anschlie?enden Diskussionsteil werden diese im Hinblick auf die zuvor genannten Theorien betrachtet und beleuchtet. Abschlie?end folgt eine Kurzzusammenfassung der Erkenntnisse dieser Arbeit sowie ein Ausblick in die zuk羹nftige Bedeutung der behandelten und angrenzenden Themen.

Trauma and Birth
Our book aims to provide those working in the maternity services, including those in general practices, with an understanding of what it means to be on the receiving end of care. Together with a description of various types of traumatic birth, we explain some of the reasons why women vary in terms of how traumatised they are by their birth experience. We provide information, encouragement and support for maternity staff to help them lessen the incidence of birth trauma, and to develop the confidence to help women when birth trauma does occur.　 The authors are a senior counsellor and an obstetrician, each with a long experience of helping women who have had difficult births. The approach of each to the subject is different but complementary. The book covers the psychological and emotional aspects of traumatic birth as well as the medical issues and includes a section on the effect of traumatic birth on the staff themselves. The market for this book is practising midwives and obstetricians, who by understanding the prevalence of traumatic birth and some of its causes can contribute to its reduction.
