The main route of transmission of syphilis is sexual contact, followed by vertical contact with the fetus during the pregnancy of a mother with the disease who has not undergone treatment or has done so inadequately. The presentation of signs and symptoms is variable and complex. When left untreated, it progresses to more serious forms which can affect the nervous system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system and gastrointestinal tract. In this paper, we analyze the incidence of congenital syphilis in three municipalities in western S瓊o Paulo over the last six years and, through a literature review, we reinforce the role of nursing in guidance, intervention and prevention of syphilis.

The activities of the center have been strengthened by ULB-Cooperation's support for the health system, with the aim of improving quality and ensuring stability through the gradual introduction of a contractual subsidy system. The model tested by ULB-Cooperation could be proposed to other health facilities, hence the need to gather feedback from project beneficiaries. The study was descriptive and analytical, and led to the following results: - Health care providers are not satisfied with the support provided by their partner, as evidenced by their dissatisfaction with the planning and organization of on-the-job training, and difficulties in prescribing drugs due to frequent stock-outs.- On the other hand, users of the health center's services are more satisfied with the reception, hygiene, quality of care and affordability of treatment than they were during the periods without ULB-Coop矇ration support.

To summarise, the work project is based on Betty Neuman's nursing model, and aims to develop a theoretical-practical work of empirical research and nursing intervention in the field of therapeutic adherence in people with mental illness, in Psychiatric Emergency and Psychosocial Rehabilitation contexts. The research is based on an extensive-quantitative strategy aimed at producing knowledge about the multidimensional systemic factors that underlie therapeutic adherence in people with mental illness. The central information-gathering technique was a questionnaire survey. The findings reveal that the presence of more severe psychotic episodes, with delusional activity and low insight, combined with weakened social ties, negatively influence therapeutic adherence.
User satisfaction on dignified treatment by nursing staff
Purpose and Method of the Study: The purpose of the study was to determine the satisfaction with dignified treatment by nursing staff at a health institution in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. The study was a descriptive, cross-sectional study. The sampling was non-probabilistic by convenience. The sample consisted of 147 hospitalised users. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse sociodemographic data and study variables. Contribution and Conclusions: The study determined satisfaction with dignified treatment by nursing staff. The average age ranged from 15 to 25 years (30.0 %), with a female predominance (61.2 %). According to the INDICATIONS format, which establishes that the minimum compliance for the criteria in the dignified treatment indicator is 95% (SS, 2012), 81.6% of users showed satisfaction with dignified treatment by nursing staff, with the criteria "the nurse treats him/her with respect" standing out. However, the criteria closest to green were "the nurse does not show up with him", and does not teach him or his relative about the care he should take with respect to his condition".

The favourable impact of a balanced care relationship on the anxiety of a pre-operative patient in ambulatory surgery has shown me that relational care is just as important and omnipresent. This relational care must be a priority in the mind of every carer, especially when the patient is anxious and in a waiting situation. The success of the therapeutic alliance between carer and patient depends on the quality of the relationship between the two partners, the patient and the carer.

The general objective of this study was to assess the quality of perioperative care from the patients' perspective in a hospital belonging to the Unified Health System (SUS). The specific objectives were to analyse the sociodemographic, clinical and therapeutic profile of patients undergoing surgical treatment in a public hospital; to analyse patient expectations and perceptions of perioperative care in this hospital; and to analyse the gaps between patient perceptions and expectations of the quality of perioperative care in this hospital.

The Effectiveness of Diet and Exercise in Preventing Type 2 Diabetes among Individuals with Impaired Glucose Tolerance in the UK
Academic Paper from the year 2023 in the subject Health - Public Health, language: English, abstract: The purpose of this systematic review is to assess how well diet and exercise work in the UK for those who have impaired glucose tolerance in order to prevent type 2 diabetes mellitus. The data was collected using a number of search engines, including Ovid, MEDLINE, PubMed, and Scopus. Research was done using PRISMA criteria. A total of 1200 studies were extracted based on the titles and articles. Upon deeper inspection, only nine, nevertheless, match the necessary data on the acceptability, efficacy, and effectiveness of diet and exercise intervention therapy in IGT patients. The main finding that unites all studies is how successful lifestyle changes are at postponing or averting the onset of Type 2 Diabetes (T2D). Every study shows how crucial it is to alter one's lifestyle, whether it be through dietary changes, regular exercise, or culturally relevant therapies, in order to reduce the risk of diabetes. The results of multiple studies have come together to show how effective lifestyle changes are in preventing and treating Type 2 Diabetes (T2D). The consistently beneficial effects on glucose tolerance, which also highlight the therapies' potential to postpone the onset of type 2 diabetes due to impaired glucose tolerance, attest to their efficacy.
Extra-Pulmonary Tuberculosis
Although tuberculosis is most common in the lungs, it also affects other organs, and is known as extrapulmonary tuberculosis. A descriptive, exploratory study with a quantitative approach was carried out with the aim of analyzing all the cases of extrapulmonary tuberculosis treated at a hospital in the city of S瓊o Lu穩s-MA. The results show that 53.7% of the patients studied were male. The most frequent clinical forms were pleural (59.26%) and ganglionic (25.93%). The main auxiliary tests for diagnosing tuberculosis seen in the medical records were: sputum smear microscopy (48.15%), sputum culture (16.67%), PPD (40.74%), X-ray (68.52%). With regard to the most commonly used treatment regimen, regimen I predominated (94.44%). It can be concluded that extrapulmonary tuberculosis can be a serious form of infection which can lead to death if not treated and diagnosed in time. It is therefore necessary for health professionals to be prepared to provide the basic conditions for successful treatment, through informative and educational activities.
