Oriental It consists of 108 octavo pages, and was written, and perhaps also composed, by Muhammad Abfi Bakr Makki Ahmad in 1879. Many of the facts recorded in it are to be found in Naum Shoucair's Arabic History of the Sfidan, but as a whole the little work is valuable, and is worth editing and translating. On the first and last pages are impressions of the seal of Gordon Basha, and the volume seems to indicate that his interest in the history of the Sudan Was great. For those who study the history of Abyssinia note should be made of The Futuh al Habashah, or The Conquest of Abyssinia, by Imam Ahmad ibn Ibrahim, a copy of which was also presented to the British Museum (no. 2409) by General Gordon.

Today, housing is apparently only a place to live, not for the mental and emotional peace of family members. Because many of the profit seekers and material worshipers of the western world design a house that is the only source of their profit, and soul and spirit have become meaningless for them, and only its luxurious and seductive appearance is the priority, and this is exactly the opposite of Iranian architecture. It is necessary to emphasize that at the beginning we must make it clear that we are not against the development of architecture and the use of the latest facilities in building construction. The main goal is that our architecture does not become more westernized. Because if our architecture becomes westernized, the foothold of western industrial products for consumption in the country will become so strong that our market will eventually become westernized and as a result we will lose our national identity and trust in all supplies and become completely dependent on the west. If the house is built in a western style, its materials will also be western, and the decoration of the house will be western instead of plastering and tiling.

I do believe a lot of what I draw comes from within. The images of Indian Princesses and their horses have always been a part of my life. From a small child, I understand those feeling all so well. I lived with the love of many horses in my lifetime. They are still here in my heart and soul. So it comes very easily to me in an image. The love between a girl and her horse. I hope that comes across in what the one looking at the Image, sees and feels. Animals, Birds, Symbols, they all just seem to me to belong together. I hope the Love I have for the Native American Indian, comes out in my art. Enjoy.

You will see many different techniques of drafting in this book. Drawings are the medium in architectural practice to communicate an idea. Those drawings are the answers to the challenges I went through to solve architectural issues that came with the practice of the profession. Among them, the human factor in the process of construction safety management is considered the most important influencing factor. As a new generation of Chinese construction workers gradually takes the mainstream, traditional construction site safety management theories do not achieve good results in the application process. Psychological hazards within the organizational structure of construction sites are difficult to detect and, when they occur, can have a significant negative impact on safety performance. The identification and control of psychological hazards within construction sites is of great significance to safety performance. Affective event theory and leader-member exchange theory have been prominent in revealing aspects of workplace communication and behavioral decision making, but their use in the construction industry has been relatively rare. For construction groups, individuals are influenced by the team climate that has a tremendous impact on their behavioral decisions. Analyzing the mutual influence of managers and construction personnel is important to provide safety awareness, reduce unsafe behaviors, and reduce the incidence of safety accidents among construction personnel.

The Tennessee Valley Authority was the largest single agency created under the auspices of the New Deal legislation. Until 1933, when the project was initiated, the Tennessee Valley was known romantically as "a region of untapped potential" and, less romantically, as one of the most impoverished and isolated areas of the country. The TVA was responsible for three large-scale environmental projects-the river, land, and power machines-but the project also had social, even utopian, goals. In service to the latter, the TVA put together a cadre of regional planners, architects, and landscape architects that Avigail Sachs calls the "atelier TVA." These professionals contributed to the design of the system of multipurpose dams, arranged visitor centers and scenic routes, built housing and communities (although both were segregated), and instigated a regional recreation industry. In Painting Architecture: Jiehua in Yuan China, 1271-1368, Leqi Yu has conducted comprehensive research on jiehua or ruled-line painting, a unique painting genre in fourteenth-century China. This genre relies on tools such as rulers to represent architectural details and structures accurately. Such technical consideration and mechanical perfection linked this painting category with the builder's art, which led to Chinese elites' belittlement and won Mongol patrons' admiration. Yu suggests that painters in the Yuan dynasty made new efforts towards a unique modular system and an unsurpassable plain-drawing tradition. She argues that these two strategies made architectural paintings in the Yuan dynasty entirely different from their predecessors, as well as making the art form extremely difficult for subsequent painters to imitate.

Chronicles grassroots efforts to recover, rebuild, and enjoy architecturally iconic but economically obsolete places in the American Rust Belt. A pioneering Detroit automobile factory. A legendary iron mill at the edge of Pittsburgh. A campus of concrete grain elevators in Buffalo. Two monumental train stations, one in Buffalo, the other in Detroit. These once-noble sites have since fallen from their towering grace. As local elected leaders did everything they could to destroy what was left of these places, citizens saw beauty and utility in these industrial ruins and felt compelled to act.
