My First Book of Songs
The Visual Music Notation System(TM) is a revolutionary new musical notation that allows you to read, write and play music for the piano and keyboard almost instantly. 38 Classic songs have been arranged in this ground breaking new music notation giving anyone the ability to read and play music on the piano or keyboard without years of tedious study. The Visual Music Notation System(TM) was created for anyone who wants to be able to read music and play it on the piano or keyboard, and the songs in this book have been specially selected for their cultural significance and joy of playing. Everyone loves music, and most people wish they could sit down at a piano or keyboard and play something that people recognize as a song. The problem comes when it's time to read the music. It literally takes years before people can confidently sight read and play even a basic song. That time has been cut to a fraction as both adults and children can learn to read music and speak in musical terms in just minutes. The next time family or friends are around, imagine if you could confidently play, "Happy Birthday", "Auld Lang Syne", "The star spangled banner", "We wish you a merry Christmas", or "Silent night." My first book of songs - makes it possible!

Scherzo & Notturno
The incidental music for Mendelsshon's A Midsummer Night's Dream, op. 61, contains truly immortal pages. Not only the famous Wedding March, but also the two compositions object of this new publication: the Scherzo, that is already part of the piano repertoire due to some magnificent transcriptions as the Rachmananinoff one that is used as the basis of this new one done by me, as well as the Nocturne (here once again the Moszkowski transcription for the piano served for my own version). These are pieces that I wanted to present in an organ version that could allow me, in addition to my colleagues, to perform them convincingly on the pipe instrument and then to make it accessible to all music lovers. While not a lover of the idea of transcribing a transcription, I thought that an exception was possible with Mendelsshon's two scores. The two already existing ones, the Rachmaninoff and the Moszkowski, prove to be very interesting under various aspects: the particular taste of the two composers, as well virtuoso performers, involved; the quite unusual musical creativity shown in the scores (the Notturno, by Moszkowski, shown from a certain moment a big distance from the orchestral score, but it is done with such a grace and wonderful taste that I decided to let it flows); the possibility of expanding the orchestral resources that these versions, quite in a "Black and White" mood to quote Charles Rosen ("Piano Notes: The Pianist's World", Free Press 2004), could resound in a new perspective.

Partitas for Mandora
Partitas for Mandora: Volume 1 Arranged for Guitar; The Partita was originally the name for a single instrumental piece of music but in the Baroque Era, Partitas came to be a collection of musical pieces and was, more or less, a synonym for Suite. In addition to Brescianello, composers of the period included Johan Kuhnau, Christoph Graupner, and, of course, Johan Sebastian Bach. The Partita consisted of a series of movements all in the same key. Each of these was most likely derived from earlier dance forms but by the time of the Baroque Era they had left the ballroom far behind and had become abstract types of art music. The Partitas for Madora included here had between four and nine parts in each, often beginning with an Aria or an "Entr矇e". Other parts of the Partita might be an Allegro, Andante, Menuet, Rigaudon, Scherzo and Gigue Some of the pieces that follow are approachable to the well-practiced beginning or intermediate performer, others will push the player to the limits of his technique.

The Ternary Distinction of Film Music
The author addresses the problematic categorization of film music in terms of the reductive diegetic/nondiegetic binary distinction. Caillez Angeles reconstructs the binary to establish a new tripartite schema that subsumes ambiguous classifications of film music that remain sitting outside and within the binary regions. Following the law of parsimony, the schema proffers a new way to organize film music without destabilizing categorial logic.
Requiem

Set for soprano, large chorus and orchestra, the three-movement work is a triptych on the themes of Devastation, Mourning, and Hope. How To Raise Successful People
As much as we humans like to get our hopes high, we can't always expect things to go our way. Even things we have worked hard for can sometimes go downhill. It is at times overconfidence, but sometimes it can be pure bad luck. We can't get disheartened by something that was not meant to go a specific way. Don't expect perfection in all the work you do. Staying patient is the walk towards the reward. And making the best out of the worst can be the only way to get yourself going. Just about everything in your life affects your future in a way or other, so make sure that you do all you can to make yourself worth the praise. Keep your lifestyle simple but effective. Try to do as much as possible for yourself and make time to relax as well. For long-term success, willpower is the most important; make sure you have it. Keep your headlight and calm for the upcoming difficulties and prepare yourself to face almost everything life throws at you.

Collected Chamber Works
This volume contains the scores & parts of ten pre-COVID chamber works in varying combinations for violin, viola, cello & piano by composer Gary Lloyd Noland (b. 1957). These works were composed within a 30-year time frame spanning the last two decades of the 20th century and first decade of the 21st century (1980-2010). Included in this volume are Noland's: WALTZ FANTASY for violin & piano Op. 87, KORNGOLDAROONIE for string trio Op. 93, IRRATIONALISMUS for cello & piano Op. 96, BIRCHERMUESLI: "Cereal Music" for string quartet Op. 6, ROMANCE for viola & piano Op. 10, POCKET TRIO for violin, cello & piano Op. 79, INTERMEZZO for violin & piano Op. 18, DOG DUO for viola & cello Op. 66a, FANTASY IN E MINOR for cello & piano Op. 24, and FUGUE IN G MAJOR for string quartet Op. 13. All of these works were composed for professional classical musicians to perform on recitals and concerts. They are also suitable for seasoned undergraduate and graduate student musicians as well as talented amateur and high school aged musicians, not to mention the occasional prodigiously gifted tween or twain. Having received both high critical acclaim for, and enthusiastic reception to, his music over the past three-plus decades, it is only until recently (2021) that many scores of his compositions had been relatively difficult to come by, as they had heretofore been haphazardly available in only limited costly editions. The publication of this collection marks the third in a series of comfortably affordable volumes of Noland's compositions that may prove to be of interest not only to seasoned chamber musicians (i.e., violinists, violists, cellists & pianists), but also to serious scholars of contemporary classical music. Noland has stood out consistently over the years, ever since having done his time as a student composer in the mid 1970s to late 1980s, as one of the chief proponents from his generation (late baby-boom) of a way of composing that could easily lend itself to being acknowledged (rather than dismissed), by responsible critics and musicologists, as having eventually led towards, or at very least having become inadvertently entangled with, a trend of sorts symptomatic of a bona fide school of thinking insofar as its having represented his own (and certain other composer's) instinctive propensities for refusing categorically to succumb to mainstream musical whimsies dictated by the academic marketplace (if, indeed, there is such a thing). It is not the calling of any composer worth his salt, what with (as is par for the course) such entities being in possession of a patently conspicuous myopic vision, but rather that of discerning music critics, competent musicologists, and discriminating musical connoisseurs, to sort such things out. While such pigeonholing is to be eschewed at all costs, it is, still and all, a necessary evil. It is unmistakably evident to this composer that a new proclivity of sorts has emerged amongst young composers, as exemplified by the musics created by certain high-minded members of the post baby-boom generation(s) (i.e., Gen Xers, Millennials, and Zoomers), whose musical outpourings tend to be less self-consciously influenced by the more anarchistic, nihilistic, pessimistic approaches of the post-war academic modernists (namely: those who produce(d) works that tend toward the stochastically anal and promiscuously higgledy-piggledy) than their immediate forebears. Indeed, Melody and Harmony appear to be thriving once again in certain august musical circles. One can almost seize upon some vague semblance of historical continuity being manifested thereby-a sort of picking-up-where-things-left-off phenomenon-after a sluggish lapse dominated by steaming piles of post-war dreckage, during which years, it must be owned, many serviceable technical innovations were inaugurated by members of the (then) musical elite in all its avant-garden-variety splendor.
Selected Piano Works of Helen C. Crane - Book One - Intermediate
Recently re-discovered composer Helen C. Crane (1868-1930) makes her 21st century debut with this collection of her piano works. A talented student of music, Ms. Crane was chosen to study composition in the 1890s with Philipp Scharwenka, pianist, composer and then director of the Klindworth-Scharwenka Conservatory in Berlin, Germany. Here she studied alongside later notables like Otto Klemperer who was one of her contemporaries. With the completion of studies her budding career was met with numerous accolades and acceptance into the various German & Austrian publishing houses: among these Breitkopf & Hertel, Gustav Vetter, and Ries & Erler. On one of her trips home to the States (April of 1900) she premiered several of her pieces at Mendellsohn Hall in NYC and herself conducted an American premier of her orchestral tone-poem "The Last Tournament", based upon the same named chapter of Alfred Lord Tennyson's "The Idylls Of The King" Her career was marked with well-met premiers in Germany and Austria and she was honored to have her music performed by the Berlin Philharmonic at the St. Louis Exposition in 1904. Her career appeared quite vibrant until the First World War brought it all to a close. She returned to the United States in 1917 where in spite of the horrific turn of events she once again was the recipient of an award: this time American. Federated Music Clubs awarded her first prize for her composition "Elegy for Cello". In the last decade of her life (1923) indicative of her success and her abiding appreciation to German-Austrian audiences, she was gifted an "all-Helen Crane" concert at the Mozarteum in Salzberg, with Dr. Bernhard Paumgartner conducting. She passed in November of 1930 at her home in Scarsdale, NY. She accomplished a great deal in her four-decade career, her music encompassing 74 numbered works: music for piano, violin, cello, string quartets, tone-poems for orchestra, art songs, works for choir as well as for orchestra and chorus and two symphonies. Her piano music gives a unique insight into her marvelous talent and reveals a heretofore unheard American strain: the unique marriage of Helen Crane's American taste and sensibilities and her German conservatory training. It is apparent upon playing and/or listening to her music that here was fertile ground for the blossoming of all manner of future American music styles, from music for the cinema to jazz.
Little Pianist. Piano Songbook for Kids
One of the biggest mistakes when someone starts learning to play the piano is playing songs with their index finger instead of using all fingers and both hands. Most piano sheet music for kids has notes for practicing with the right hand only, which encourages the 'plinky-plonk' playing that children should avoid. In this book, however, all songs have treble and bass clef notes for practicing with both hands! So, suppose you are looking for a diverse collection of 55 large print piano songs for children, young learners, or adult students that are simple enough for beginners to play and show letters (note names), numbers (fingerings), and lyrics. In that case, this is the perfect book for you. In this book, you will get: 55 EASY PIANO SONGS FOR KIDS - All songs have been arranged especially for young learners. This means that all complex chords and rhythms have been simplified. Also, all the pieces are kept relatively short, only one or two pages long. This will allow your child to enter the magic world of piano without frustration.FROM EASIEST TO HARDEST - Are you tired of searching for piano pieces with the appropriate difficulty? At the beginning of this book, you will find very simple songs, and then they gradually get more challenging as the book progresses. This will keep your child motivated and enable them to progress through the levels. DIFFERENT TYPES OF SONGS - You will get a diverse selection of pieces: well-known children's songs and nursery rhymes and simplified classical pieces, as well as famous English evergreens and international folk songs. This varied selection of easy sheet music will fuel your kid's enjoyment when practicing the piano.WITH LETTERS AND NUMBERS - The most straightforward songs in this book are presented with letters above the music notes to help you know what keys to press. However, as the pieces get more complex, the note names have been deliberately left out to encourage note recognition. All songs include finger placements (numbers) in problem areas.LARGE PRINT - Most music notes for beginners are pretty small, so learners struggle to read them without squinting. To avoid this, all songs in this book have a clear layout and large print for students to follow the pieces easily.NOTES FOR BOTH HANDS - Most easy piano pieces for children have notes for practicing one hand only, encouraging them to play songs with only their index finger. The proper technique, however, is playing with all fingers and both hands. That's why all pieces in this book are in both treble and bass clef (i.e., both right and left hand).BONUS: FREE AUDIO FILES TO DOWNLOAD - Do you want to get an idea of what a piece should sound like? If you are unsure how to play a piece, our audio files will help you get a feel for the melody. Contemporary Modal Pieces
Award-winning composer Margaret Brandman's pieces for piano in this collection explore several Contemporary Classical and Jazz writing techniques in a tuneful and accessible way. They serve to familiarise the performer with tonalities other than Major and Minor by introducing students to the unique sounds of the seven standard church modes used in Western Music for over a thousand years: Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, and Locrian. Pentatonic and Whole-tone scale sounds are also explored as well as pieces composed using 'Serial' techniques. The student of classical music will be opened up to the exciting world of Jazz sounds via the Modal Scales and the various rhythms included in the book; while the Australian animal titles will capture the performer's imagination and provide insight into the stylistic content of the piece. In addition to the pieces there are many helpful suggestions that provide a means of encouraging improvisation. For the student of composition, previously dry theoretical concepts are brought to life in each of the pieces which bridge the gap between conventional writing techniques and contemporary experimental material. Many of the pieces from this collection are listed in the Australian Music Examination Syllabus as set works for students to perform at their examinations.

There are two basic approaches to playing fingerstyle arrangements: memorize every note of an intricate piece and play it the same way every time, or start with an outline of the tune, and improvise variations. The first approach has the advantage that the notes are all worked out ahead of time, but takes work to memorize. The music may also get stale over time, since everything is locked in. With the second approach, memorization is easier (or maybe even unnecessary), and you can continually explore new variations, making the music more fun to play, and potentially more fun to listen to.Christmas tunes are ideally suited for the improvisational approach. Most musicians don't need to perform them all year long, and it's challenging to maintain a repertoire of memorized arrangements that get played only during the holidays. The arrangements in this book are designed to be pulled out at a moment's notice, and allow you to perform seasonal music without preparation. These sketches are similar to those found in "fake books," but designed for solo fingerstyle guitar. Jazz fake books are typically limited to just chord names and perhaps melody. These arrangements provide a bit more than that - basically easy-to-play arrangements with no complicated parts that are designed to be extended on the fly.
Collected Piano Works
Composer Gary Lloyd Noland's COLLECTED PIANO WORKS: Volume 2 includes his epic-length 39 VARIATIONS ON AN ORIGINAL THEME IN F MAJOR Op. 98, his super-virtuosic GRANDE RAG BRILLANTE Op. 15, his GOLDEN GATE RAG Op. 123, and several other heretofore unpublished works for piano.39 VARIATIONS ON AN ORIGINAL THEME IN F MAJOR Op. 98 is, at approximately two hours duration, one of the lenghiest and most challenging sets in the history of the genre. It has been described by composer Ernesto Ferreri as "an historical variation set for piano, a true descendant of the Goldbergs and Diabellis, beautifully targeted to an apotheosis of supreme grandeur." Composer/pianist Ludwig Tuman described it as "an astounding tour de force. In its far-reaching, systematic exploration of the theme's creative possibilities, as well as in the inexhaustible imagination brought to bear, it reminds one of the Goldberg and the Diabelli. But in its monumental dimensions it goes far beyond them both, and in the large number of historical styles referenced and integrated into the work ... I am unaware of any parallel. I especially enjoyed the consistent use of certain features of the theme, regardless of the style or the type of tonality, pantonality or atonality employed-among them the melodic turn, the phrases ascending by whole steps, and others. I offer my humble congratulations on a titanic achievement!" Ragtime pianist Mark Lutton once described GRANDE RAG BRILLANTE Op. 15 as "the most difficult ragtime piece of all time ... The audience needs to have Attention Hyperabundance Disorder. (It's fine if, like me, your idea of a nice short little piece is a tone poem by Richard Strauss.)" The Canadian pianist and composer Max Keelyside described it as "the work of a musician's musician." GRANDE RAG BRILLANTE received its official world premiere on KPFA Radio on 4 October, 1991 in celebration of the inauguration of Pacifica Radio's (then) sparkling new facility in Berkeley, California. It was "performed" on a computer-driven Yamaha Disklavier. This historic premiere, paired with the premiere of a (then) new work by Lou Harrison, was later written up in Nicolas Slonimsky's MUSIC SINCE 1900 (an encyclopedic compendium that chronologically lists premieres of compositions that its author deems to be among the most significant and noteworthy of the 20th century). Ernesto Ferreri wrote, "Only a musical maniac could push something this far ... at times the rags fugue and the fugues rag into waves of improbable climaxes ... noticed a double fugue with the rag theme ... and you gotta love how it detours around atonality ... brillante indeed!" Here is a link to a rendition of GRANDE RAG BRILLANTE: https: //soundcloud.com/gary- noland/grande-rag-brillante-for-piano-op-15.GOLDEN GATE RAG Op. 123 was originally sketched out in 1974 and underwent significant revisions in 2021. This is the first time it has appeared in publication.THREE MEDLEYS from VENGE ART comprise a series of strung-together musical excerpts from various works by Richard Strauss, Mahler, Korngold, Sch繹nberg, Berg, Beethoven, J.S. Bach, Brahms, Karol Szymanowski, Mozart, and Hugo Wolf. The recently revised THREE INCONGRUISMS Op. 122 (2021) are derived from various unfinished compositions by Noland dating back to the late 1970s and mid 1980s.

Selected Piano Works of Helen C. Crane - Book Two - Advanced
She accomplished a great deal in her four-decade career, her music encompassing 71 numbered works: music for piano, violin, cello, string quartets, tone-poems for orchestra, art songs, works for choir as well as for orchestra and chorus and two symphonies. Her piano music gives a unique insight into her marvelous talent and reveals a heretofore unheard American strain: the unique marriage of Helen Crane's American taste and sensibilities and her German conservatory training. It is apparent upon playing and/or listening to her music that here was fertile ground for the blossoming of all manner of future American music styles, from music for the cinema to jazz and unique styles of George Gershwin and perhaps Irving Berlin.
