Dear Readers, Have you ever walked through a graveyard at night? Have you ever been alone in the dark and felt that tingly sensation that makes your hair stand up and gives you shivers? Have you ever awakened at night, heard voices, heard sounds, felt a breeze, or simply felt that something was "off"? You know, heard voices, felt a presence, seen a light or shape, or simply experienced something that gave you goosebumps? This book is not only for those who have experienced such, but also to artistically illustrate the "Otherworldly" aspects of the vast and mysterious sea. My first trio of underwater photography volumes was devoted to documenting and artistically visualizing living mollusks. Living Shells, Living Mollusks, and The Art of the Living Mollusk revealed the wonders of living mollusks ranging from the weird pelagic mollusks found during a blackwater night dive to the weird cephalopods and living seashells; from the very rare, never before photographed, living shells to the commonplace shells photographed artistically. All these books were successes and won a multitude of awards, both domestic and international, both for art and for photography. My next book expanded my artistic photography by revealing the Curves and Angles of this world. My partner, Leah, and I had been diving together for several years when we teamed up with Nus, a famous Indonesian divemaster, to publish our book detailing the undersea creatures of Indonesia, The Undersea Art of Indonesia. This current book, The Otherworldly Deep: Photographs of the Ethereal, is an attempt to go a step further, actually giant leaps further, than the mollusk books and even beyond the Indonesian book. We want to show our faithful Readers another aspect of the undersea world ... the Otherworldly aspect of this vast, mysterious, mystical underwater world. In this volume, we hope to acquaint our wonderful Audience with the ethereal aspect of this world. Through our photographs and text, we want to show our Audience just how extremely mystical and outrageously strange the deep blue really is. As we said before, if you have ever felt "goosebumps" or the "Willies" as I call that feeling, if you have ever been diving and felt that you were not alone, ever heard voices, singing, seen shapes, or unexplained lights, these photographs and experiences are for you! Cars have a talismanic quality. No other manufactured object has the same disturbing allure. More emotions are involved in cars and car design than in any other product: vanity, cupidity, greed, social competitiveness and cultural modelling. But when all this perverse promise ends in catastrophe, these same talismanic qualities acquire an extra dimension. The car crash is a defining phenomenon of popular culture. Death Drive is both an appreciative essay about the historic place of the automobile in the modern imagination and a detailed exploration of the circumstances of 24 celebrity car crashes, from Isadora Duncan in an Amilcar, in 1927, to Helmut Newton in a Cadillac, in 2004. The author concludes by confronting the imminent demise of the car itself.
Last Stop
Photography documenting the last stop on every New York subway line -- a completely new view on the City's life. Over the course of a year, Brian Rose set out to photograph all the neighborhoods at the ends of the subway lines in New York City. He had multiple reasons for engaging in such a project, but the strongest was the desire to portray New York as a highly diverse, multi-centered metropolis. Having spent a major part of his career photographing the city through often challenging times - the dichotomy of destruction and creativity of the 1980s, the mortal wounding of 9/11, and the suspended animation of the Covid-19 pandemic - Rose was perhaps uniquely equipped to document the city at this moment of political uncertainty under the increased strain of new arrivals, many of whom are refugees from around the world. For a new generation of New Yorkers, the trains roll on ceaselessly, and despite the title, Last Stop is not so much about endings as it is about reinvention.

Terry O'Neill
Terry O'Neill (1938-2019) was one of the world's most celebrated and collected photographers, with work displayed and exhibited at first-class museums and fine-art galleries worldwide. His iconic images of Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Brigitte Bardot, Faye Dunaway, and David Bowie - to name but a few - are instantly recognizable across the globe. Now, for the first time, O'Neill selects a range of images from his extensive archive of "vintage prints", which will surprise and delight collectors and photography lovers alike. Long before the age of digital, photographers would send physical prints to the papers and magazines. These prints were passed around, handled by many, stamped on the back, and often times captioned. After use, the prints were either filed away, thrown out or - for the lucky few - sent back to the photographer or their photo agencies. At the dawn of the 1960s, when O'Neill's career began, physical prints were the norm. Terry kept as many as he could that were sent back to him. "I just kept everything," he says. "I don't know why. Back then, there wasn't really a reason to keep them. Photos were used straight away and then I just moved on to the next assignment. No one was thinking these would be worth anything down the line, let alone fifty years later." This book collects hundreds of these rare images, a true must for Terry's fans and photography collectors.
Prague Revisited
This book of over 200 photographs by Bernis and Peter von zur Muehlen covers the sweep of Prague's history from World War II to the "Velvet Revolution."The first chapter, illustrated by his mother's black and white snapshots of the city, is an account of Peter's life in Prague as a young boy during the months leading up to the end of World War II and of his family's narrow escape days before the Red Army entered the city. The following chapters describe four visits by Bernis and Peter between 1985 and 1992, an epoch that saw Czechoslovakia's transformation from Communist dictatorship to the restoration of democracy. The images reveal not only a glorious city, but also the many less prominent sites that give Prague its unique charm. Haunting images of the Old Jewish Cemetery remind the reader of the turbulent history of the Jews, nearly exterminated by the Nazis. One chapter traces the evolution of the Lennon Wall, a famous symbol of Prague's long struggle for freedom. Lively accounts of the photographers' travel experiences document a city slowly coming to terms with its own history.
