Pampille's Table
Inspired by references to the "delicious books of Pampille" in Proust's Remembrance of Things Past, the veteran cookbook author Shirley King adapted this gastronomic gem of a book for the modern American kitchen. Marthe Daudet (1878-1960) was Pampille, and her book Les Bons Plats de France, originally published in 1919, is still regarded as a classic in France. Her intriguing mix of charming writing, insightful wit, and wonderful, authentic recipes makes this a travelogue as well as a useful cookbook. While remaining faithful to Pampille's language and work, King has updated the recipes when necessary to make them practical for modern cooks.

The Villa Vespa Cookbook
This cookbook has been generations in the making. In the early 1970s, George Vespa had a dream of opening an Italian Restaurant in Lake Placid, NY. After hiring a chef from New York City's Little Italy, the Villa Vespa got it's start. Throughout the years, George made several trips to cooking schools in Europe, honing his kitchen skills and fine-tuning the recipes for the Villa Vespa. Throughout her young adult life, George's daughter Kimberly worked alongside her father in the kitchen, learning the recipes and finding her own passion for food. After the Villa Vespa closed in 1997, Kimberly opened her own successful takeout Italian food shop with many of the recipes from the restaurant. In addition, she jarred and sold the Villa Vespa Marinara sauce by the caseloads all over the northeastern United States. The recipes that follow are from the kitchen at the Villa Vespa. They are classic Italian dishes made easy. Although the Villa Vespa is no longer open, now everyone can enjoy the food we've all come to love. May you use them to create great memories of your own.Salute, Kimberly
Nana's Creole Italian Table
From meatball po'boys to Creole red gravy, the influence of Sicilian foodways permeates New Orleans, one of America's greatest food cities. Nana's Creole Italian Table tells the story of those immigrants and their communities through the lens of food, exploring the ways traditional Sicilian dishes such as pasta and olive salad became a part of--and were in turn changed by--the existing food culture in New Orleans. Sicilian immigrants--Elizabeth M. Williams's family among them--came to New Orleans in droves in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, fleeing the instability of their own country and hoping to make a new home in America. This cookbook shares Williams's traditional family recipes, with variations that reveal the evolution and blending of Sicilian and Creole cuisines. Baked into every recipe is the history of Sicilian American culture as it has changed over the centuries, allowing each new generation to incorporate its own foodways and ever-evolving tastes.

The Magical Cookery of I Foodini
I Foodini are Sean Lawson, Jenn Andreoli and Chris Warren- cooks who collaborated on a series of videos and webcasts documenting their friends, stories and recipes in Tuscany, Italy and the island of Dominica in the Caribbean. In the over 30 years that I have lived in the medieval hilltown of Sorano in Tuscany, I have had the great fortune to be invited into the homes of and been fed by many of the welcoming townspeople. Two, in particular, became my adoptive aunties, and between them, they taught me most of what I know about the magic of the Italian table. Unlike me, both Sean and Jenn had formal training at culinary schools. Sean settled in Sorano with his Italian wife, Emma, about 15 years after I had arrived. He had previously been working in London for seven years as a chef at various restaurants. Sean was born in Sunderland, England, where his grandmother had a fish and chips shop, which inspired him eventually to follow her into the food preparation business. When he was young, his family moved to Auckland, so most of his schooling, culinary training, and first ten years of cooking jobs were in New Zealand.Jennifer - Jenn - is originally from Toronto, where her mother and stepfather worked in the film industry. Jenn's busy parents often left her to fend for herself, so she became quite an adept and confident cook from an early age. Jenn's father, Tony Hall, was trained as an architect but was a set designer by trade. He had a dream to build a boutique hotel in the tropics, and so the family left the rat race behind and moved to the Caribbean island of Dominica when Jenn was eight. The beautiful Zandoli Inn opened in 1992, but Jenn continued to go back and forth between Canada and Dominica. She eventually got her culinary degree, earned her cooking chops, and then in 1996 opened and was the chief chef at the very successful Universal Grill restaurant in Toronto. Tony Hall died suddenly in 1998, and eventually Jenn returned permanently to Dominica to help her mother run the Zandoli Inn - and she made the restaurant the best on the island.

French Food for Everyone
French Food for Everyone is a follow-up to the best-selling In the French kitchen with kids and was inspired by the students in Mardi's online cooking classes in 2020 and 2021 when cooking classes pivoted to online platforms. Mardi's first book proved that French food is much simpler to make than many people believe (so easy even kids can make "fancy" French dishes!), and over the course of a year's worth of online classes, she noticed that it was not just kids but whole families enjoying great success with her recipes. After a few months, one of her students remarked on the "recipe book" they had created from the online class recipes and Mardi realised she had enough recipes for a whole new cookbook - French Food for Everyone was born! The book will be released a chapter at a time to enable people to get baking and cooking sooner! This second chapter showcases twelve recipes to make and enjoy for dinner. Often, when people hear "French food" they assume the recipe will be too complicated, the ingredients too hard to find, the techniques too fussy for them to attempt at home. In Mardi's first book, In the French kitchen with kids, she proved otherwise. Children and adults alike all over the world discovered that French food was easy to make at home. That good quality ingredients can be transformed with simple techniques to make delicious dishes. Ok, but what about le d簾ner - the main meal of the day - isn't that going to require some more complex skills? Not necessarily, even though some of them have reputations for being hard to make - (French) Onion Soup, for example. But when you look at the recipes themselves, there's nothing too complicated for a home cook. Some of the recipes (i.e. the aforementioned soup) do take time - the Daube de Boeuf is one you'll want to plan for (it's an "all afternoon to cook" meal but with very little hands-on time) but many of these recipes are simple enough to make even on a weeknight. These dozen recipes are by no means representative of the breadth of French cuisine; rather these are dishes Mardi has come to love over the years living in and traveling to France. Nostalgic dishes (Bavette ? l'矇chalote), comfort food dishes (Tartiflette) and Bistro favourites (Daube de Boeuf) meet beloved classics like Poulet r繫ti (roast chicken but with a quick twist). Won't you sit down to dinner, French-style, and work your way through this collection of recipes, maybe learning a little kitchen French and French history along the way? Advance Praise Every year, dozens of cookbooks that claim to offer you the key to honest real-people French cooking are published. This one is the real McCoy. I knew this as soon as I saw the recipe for endives wrapped up in ham, a dish my mother-in-law in the north of France makes for us everytime we visit. Mardi is both a charming writer and a very honest expert on real-people French cooking, which makes her new book absolutely invaluable.--Alexander Lobrano, author of Hungry for Paris, Hungry for France and My Place at the Table French family dinner favorites, each with a little twist, each with a bit of advice or two to get things just right. I will recommend this book series to all of my students - because Mardi, a natural teacher, in walking us through each dish, opens the gate to French cooking, making it accessible and enjoyable.- Lucy Vanel, Plum Lyon Teaching Kitchen, France
