The Data Hero Playbook
For thirty years, "best practices" in data have delivered bigger platforms, thicker slide decks, and disappointing outcomes. The problem isn't technology. It's mindset. The Data Hero Playbook reveals how limiting beliefs--learned helplessness, all-or-nothing thinking, externalized blame--have kept data from becoming truly transformational. The cure is a growth mindset, put into action through practical steps any data professional can take. You'll discover how to: Put customers at the center of every decision. Apply product management principles to data work. Quantify value in revenue, cost savings, and risk reduction. Run data as if it were a P&L. Deliver fast wins with a Data Strategy MVP in weeks, not months. Unflinching about what hasn't worked yet unapologetically hopeful about what's next, this book is a call to arms for data leaders ready to escape the status quo. If you want to stop explaining why data should matter and start proving it with measurable results, The Data Hero Playbook is your guide. Become the data hero your company actually needs.

Rural Demand Responsive Transport
This book analyzes the transport situation in so-called low-demand areas, i.e., rural areas where traditional public transport is often poor and inefficient. Though rural transport has largely been neglected in the literature in favor of more urbanized contexts, it is often the only mobility option for the many citizens who still live in these areas. This book aims to fill the gap in the literature by providing further insights into rural transport research, in particular by presenting a valid solution: Demand Responsive Transport (DRT). This widespread technology allows public transport authorities to make their journeys more efficient by maximizing the load factor of vehicles, while helping citizens meet their mobility needs. The book addresses key research questions concerning the strengths and weaknesses of deploying Demand-Responsive Transport (DRT) in rural areas; mayors' perceptions regarding the transport characteristics of their regions; and the evaluation of a DRT pilot project. These aspects are explored through a case study of DRT implementation in two rural areas near the Ligurian cities of Chiavari and Genoa.

The ISM method version 5
Customers expect increasingly valuable IT services, services that are flexible, reliable, secure, and efficient. Services that optimally support their users in their work. At the same time, IT organizations are struggling with rapidly changing applications and techniques, increasing compliance requirements, suppliers, and a shortage of employees.ITSM methods such as ITIL, DevOps, XLA, IT4IT, and SIAM are valuable and provide many insights and guidelines, but due to their complexity and size, they are almost never successfully applied. The road to go is a result-oriented applicable method that is compact and complete, and maximally supports the entire IT organization in creating valuable IT services. A method that is both manageable and executable.ISM Version 5 (Integrated Service Management) uses just seven processes to organize the supply chain from customer to suppliers, and from strategy to operations. It supports the professionals with compact, recognizable, and applicable frameworks and supports the managers with result-oriented and clear control. The Contribution of CRM to Sales Performance in the Hotel Business
Especially for the hospitality industry, Customer Relationship is one of the most important success factors with communication playing an integral part. The aim of this dissertation is to evaluate the influence of the most common direct marketing channels in the hotel business (e-mail and post mail) and the communication frequency on the re-buying behavior, i.e. the behavioral loyalty of existing hotel customers within a Customer Relationship Management context. Within the complex construct of CRM, marketing communication plays a central role in creating remembering effects and in initiating booking impulses, but neither the question of a worthwhile frequency nor the quality of the different media channels as a message transmitter within CRM have been evaluated so far. The main questions, which will be answered in this dissertation, are: What is the role of direct communication within Customer Relationship Management? What are the effect of on- and offline messages on customer loyalty, measured by the number of additional sales? Does communication directly and positively influence the purchase frequency of already existing customers?
