Institutional Assessment Analysed
Over time, Brazilian Higher Education Institutions have sought to create an evaluation process that allows them to be effective and transparent, and that offers quick and clear answers to the academic community, which is no easy task. In this book, the author seeks to uncover how the evaluation process developed at Brazil's first Technological University, through the accounts of its mentors and the difficulties faced in implementing and improving its efficiency and negative points over the course of its management. It's a first step that needs to be constantly fed with new information and procedures, made easier today with the advances and speed of information technology. An important role has been given to the students with their expectations and needs, in a national system that is failing and lacking in new efficient and modern proposals. But even with all these difficulties there is 'light at the end of the tunnel' thanks to the persistence and dedication of a few in favour of the majority.

Structuring themes applied to physics teaching
In this book, we present the results of the implementation of a teaching project with a technical class in the area of Computer Science at the Farroupilha Federal Institute, located in the city of S瓊o Borja/RS. This work is based on Vygotsky's social-interactionist theory, as well as Delizoicov and Angotti's theory of pedagogical moments, which in turn is based on Paulo Freire's educational perspective. During the classes in which the project was implemented, we always tried to motivate debate, since the theoretical references consider this to be a fundamental point for learning. As the project's main activity, the students worked on residential electrical installations. Over the course of the meetings, each group built an electrical plan for a home, covering all the concepts studied during the project. The results obtained from the main activity carried out, as well as from the questionnaires applied before and after the project was implemented, showed that the students had appropriated an adequate amount of knowledge regarding the structuring theme covered. I wish you all a good reading.
Shaping the Future of Work

The more flexibility that exists, both in timing and workspaces, the more people can join the workforce. This book not only addresses the challenges of building an inclusive human capital framework for India but also highlights some unconventional ideas around work and models of employment which can create this much-needed inclusion. It is imperative that we adapt and shape the future of work possibilities around flexibility. By doing so, we can considerably address India's jobs and employment challenges.

The Inverted Classroom and Mathematics Learning
Education has redefined the scenarios of methodological strategies and with it the techniques, resources and evaluation tools that, aligned in an integral way, contribute significantly to student learning, leaving behind monotonous practices and leading to poor results, which generate in the student a rejection, more than to the teacher, to the subject, thus opening a gap between teacher and student regarding collaboration and coexistence in the classroom. The flipped classroom brings results that benefit student learning and simplify the administrative management of the teacher; this option guides students in the construction of their own knowledge. This work provides a significant contribution to the good use of the flipped classroom methodology in the learning of mathematics.

The teaching professionalism of Pedagogy course graduates
We must consider the teacher in an integrated way (as a citizen and professional), inserted and acting in the society of his time, as a subject who produces and produces himself, in his relationship with the world, with the historical context and his own history. To this end, we seek to understand what professional mechanisms teachers use to deal with the dilemmas and possible changes in perspective that arise during their professional career, which serve to shape their identity and professional maturity - solving problems; reflecting on difficulties and successes; evaluating and readjusting ways of proceeding. Our aim is to understand how these professionals entered the teaching profession, what aspects contributed to their remaining in the profession, as well as the elements that make up the construction of their teaching professionalism. The teaching profession has not yet become a reality, even though it is such an old practice. In the midst of the current reality of the (de)professionalization of the pedagogue, and consequently of the teaching profession, it is necessary to form the collective conscience of a professional category in order to defend their common interests.
Minimally Invasive Dentistry
The term 'Minimally Invasive Dentistry' (MID) was given by Mount and Hume in 1997, referred to the use of smaller and more conservative cavity preparations. But today, the concept is much broader which includes care related to risk assessment of disease, the early detection of oral disease, targeted preventively orientated strategies and limited surgical intervention appropriate to the level of disease. MID is the modern medical approach towards the management of caries mainly focusing on the early prevention and interception of disease rather than only the restoration of teeth and this allows the dentist to achieve maximum intervention, with minimal invasive treatment modalities. It consists of various materials, burs, technologies which completely diverts the whole concept towards the prevention and minimal intervention.
Minimally Invasive Dentistry
The term given by Mount and Hume in 1997, refers to the most possible conservative approach to any of the field in dentistry. Today, the concept is much broader, care related to risk assessment of individual, the early detection of oral disease, targeted preventively orientated strategies and limited surgical intervention appropriate to the level of disease. It is the modern medical approach to the management of caries, utilizing caries risk assessment, and focusing on the early prevention and interception of disease. Moving the focus away from the restoration of teeth with minimal invasive treatment modalities. It is nothing but a response to the traditional, surgical manner of managing dental caries. As the dental profession worldwide grapples with the challenges dealing with high rates of dental caries in socially disadvantaged and medically compromised patients, it is even more important to incorporate these concepts into practice to deal with the concept of preventive and therapeutic management of dental caries.

Part Two: What discusses ways of measuring mindfulness, the need for training business educators as mindfulness facilitators, and the contextualisation of mindfulness in contemporary business topics such as wellbeing, sustainability, diversity, and artificial intelligence. Bread and Work
Between the world wars, unemployment spread throughout the industrialised world like a disease. In Bread and Work, Matt Perry places this global unemployment crisis in its proper international context. Focusing on Britain, Europe and the United States, he compares and contrasts popular attitudes and the government response toward unemployment. Looking beyond statistics and economic cycles, Perry investigates the human impact of unemployment. He uncovers the experience of being jobless from the perspective of those who lived through it, their employers and their communities. He uses oral history, memoirs, literary accounts, and newspaper articles to reveal the reality of unemployment. Perry argues that the scale of the crisis has been minimised by historians who have tended to emphasise that prolonged unemployment was the problem of the distressed fringe. Finally, Perry argues that the lessons of the 1930s have direct relevance today since the structural problems of industrial capitalism remain inherent.

This book presents an empirical, comparative picture of daily labour markets, in Gujarat, Western India. These markets consist mostly of intra-state and interstate migrant workers who suffer from layered multiple marginalities based on markers of informality, migrant status, caste, ethnicity, gender and poor agency and often live in the peripheries of the cities without any rights and entitlements to their spaces and services. This study, based on an extensive survey of three cities in Gujarat, contains descriptions and analyses of the places of migration and their causes as well as the working and living conditions of the workers along with their spending patterns on food, health, education and leisure. It mirrors the work, life and issues of these workers on the regional level while contributing to a better understanding for future policy interventions. An in-depth study, the book will be of interest to students and researchers of labour economics, labour studies, urban planning, social work, sociology, anthropology, and demography. It will also be useful to NGOs/trade unions working with migrant workers, civil servants in Labour department and other related departments, city planners and policy makers.

Education, Religion, Family in the contemporary society
Contemporary societies are facing a series of crises in the political, economic, social, educational, and moral sphere. These were exacerbated by technical and scientific developments or by the globalization phenomenon, fact that triggered a process of analysis of social and educational phenomena in order to identify viable solutions. In this context are included the debates conducted during the International Conference Education, Religion and Family in the Contemporary Society (ICERFCS), First Edition, held in Beclean, Romania, on 10th-11th November 2016, which was organized within a partnership between the Babeș-Bolyai University, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, Educational Sciences Department and the Archdiocese of Vad, Feleac and Cluj, Metropolitan of Cluj, Maramures and Salaj, the Romanian Orthodox Archpresbyteriate Beclean. The event was attended by over 350 persons.

The Biographical Body
This research was developed and presented to the Postgraduate Program in Education - Master's Degree, at the Education Center of the Federal University of Santa Maria. Its main objective is to understand and analyze the meanings of GEPEIS members based on the biographical body, understood as "past, present and future history, through sensations, images, animated visions - sort of waking dreams - reminiscences, but also ideas and choices [...]" where I use Josso (2012, p.27 ) and the confluence of body/mind, trying to think of possibilities for a formative process in education through the bias of the body as an expression of imaginary meanings, a place of memories and sensitivities. For this research, I used body experiences and conversation circles, which were experienced after the experiences. The material produced was analyzed and organized, showing that mobilization and formative experiences through the sensorial route bring about, through biographical bodies, a broadening of body awareness, as well as the possibility of experimenting with other repertoires in training.
General studies
In this book we will be presenting some aspects of the evolution of General Studies, with special attention to Puerto Rico and particularly to the School of General Studies at the R穩o Piedras Campus of the University of Puerto Rico. In this process we will emphasize what happened during the last decades of the 20th century and the first decades of the 21st century. Since this is an open and highly complex process, we invite other colleagues to take it more as an invitation to continue making contributions on the subject, rather than as something finalized.

Technical Vocational Education in the public school system
The aim of this study is to evaluate the quality of secondary vocational education in the state public school system in the municipality of Paulo Afonso - BA, with the students of CETEPI's integrated training program as the subjects of this research. The research's main bibliographical references are authors such as Gramsci (1982), Manacorda (2007), Saviani (2007, 2011), Lib璽neo (1984, 2002) and Frigotto (2006, 2008). And relevant data from institutions such as IDB (2011), CNI (2014), DIEESE (2016), MEC (2016), SENAI (2016), OECD (2016), SGE (2017), which corroborate through documentary bases for this study. The investigation implies a low quality of teaching proposed by the educational center, which consequently generates a process of exclusion of these students in society. The results were extracted from opinion questionnaires on the level of satisfaction and evaluation of students regarding the school infrastructure, the methodology used by the teachers of the specific subjects, and their expectations regarding employability.
Strengthening employability in higher education
Currently, the gap between the lack of technical, digital and soft skills not offered by higher education and those required by the labor market has become a critical issue that affects employability and competitiveness in the labor market, which does not allow them to succeed in increasingly demanding work environments, because the lack of soft skills, such as time management, empathy and leadership skills, represents a significant gap that hinders job placement and professional development, for the knowledge required in today's world of work. In this context, higher education must create new careers, after analyzing the employability needs of the public, productive and tertiary sectors; complemented with skills and competencies, such as: communication, resilience, public ethics, teamwork.
