Simplifying
The aim of this paper is to present an application that I created for use on Android smartphones, which helps 9th grade teachers with the content: Pythagorean Theorem, calculating areas of flat figures and Bh獺skara's Formula. The app can help students solve the exercises, which are shown step by step. Because there are still teachers who are not tech-savvy, the app was developed in a clear and intuitive way, making it easy for both the teacher and the student to use. It is a way of encouraging elementary school teachers to work with cell phone technology. Some activities have been suggested for use in the teaching and learning of the 9th year of elementary school with the content mentioned. It is hoped that this app will encourage students and teachers to use digital technologies to promote the teaching and learning of mathematics.
PRK postoperative pain with codeine phosphate 30 mg/paracetamol
Refractive surgery is a surgical procedure used to correct refractive errors. Despite the great benefits that photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) provides, one of the limiting factors of this technique is post-operative pain. Pain is a multidimensional and subjective experience. The use of pain-relieving instruments benefits patients, doctors and makes the procedure more peaceful in the immediate post-operative period. Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) is one of the most widely used refractive surgery techniques in the world. Despite its effectiveness and safety in the treatment of myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism, pain remains one of the major challenges in the postoperative period of PRK. Although the combination of the drugs codeine (oral opioid) and paracetamol (analgesic) is widely used in the post-surgical period of various medical specialties, the efficacy and safety of this combination has not been evaluated in the management of post-PRK pain.
Popular Music and the Rise of Populism in Europe
This book focuses on the role of popular music in the rise of populism in Europe, centring on the music-related processes of sociocultural normalisation and the increasing prevalence of populist discourses in contemporary society. Construction and evaluation of a low-cost collector in Palmas - TO
Brazil is currently facing a problem between energy availability and demand, partly due to the improvement in the standard of living of some classes and the high consumption of the population. This unbridled consumption has led to constant concern about large-scale energy production. According to the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL, 2010), around 77% of the electricity generated in the country is supplied by hydroelectric plants, due to government policy and Brazil's great hydroelectric potential. The electric shower is one of the items among household appliances that accounts for the largest share of residential consumption, from 25 to 35% of total expenditure according to EPE (2012). It is estimated that the shower consumes between 6.2 and 8.7% of the energy produced in the country, and is also responsible for 18% of the peak demand of the electricity system (Rodrigues and Matajs, 2004). The applicability of the ecological solar heater as a social technology makes it viable for implementation in low-income households, as it simultaneously saves electricity and improves quality of life. The results showed that it is possible to save up to 33.27% when replacing the electric shower.

"I'm a Barbie Girl, in a Barbie world," the ubiquitous refrain that dominated the airwaves in summer 1997. Aqua's single from their debut album Aquarium spread like wildfire, topping charts across the globe. Strategic planning for companies
This research aims to analyze the company Lomaque, through an internal and external evaluation of the enterprise, using the SWOT Matrix, its strengths and weaknesses. The project presents the company in detail, showing its physical, legal, organizational and commercial structure (staff, job description, remuneration and work schedule). As such, the evaluation contributes both to the formation of value-added content for the commercial institution (as other people will have access to the content of the work), as well as to the construction of the academic's knowledge. Therefore, the tools described provided the results that will be presented at the end of this study. It will serve as a basis for future research. The methodological processes are in line with the guidelines of the Academic Institution, which are interpreted by four moments. Finally, if we consider that the market for renting construction machinery and equipment is highly competitive and is going through a crisis, partly due to the lack of credit for the construction sector.

Turning SAE4140 steel using coated carbide inserts
Today's industry demands development in manufacturing processes, especially with more modern and efficient machine tools, and the constant improvement of cutting tools. Choosing the right cutting parameters and the right cutting insert is a matter of keeping up with technology in order to reduce costs and increase the final quality of the products manufactured. The work carried out evaluated the cutting speed parameter of coated carbide inserts in the SAE4140 steel roll turning process. It was concluded that fracture and chipping of the cutting edges were predominant when using high cutting speeds. It can also be observed and emphasised that in the turning process of materials with high hardness, carbide-coated inserts have better performance in the machining of materials with high hardness and good performance in relation to wear.

Challenges in the Continuing Education of Teachers and the Use of TDIC
Digital technologies reach schools and create other ways of constructing knowledge, thus expanding access to information and reconfiguring the learning space. The aim of this study was to investigate the introduction, reception and use of digital information and communication technologies among teachers and pedagogical teams in the municipal education network of a city in the south of Minas Gerais. The aim was to verify the impact of DICTs in redefining teaching knowledge and the pedagogical practices used. This is a qualitative and exploratory study based on Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPCK), according to Mishra and Koehler (2006). To collect the data, two questionnaires were used in Google Forms, prior to four workshops being held in the computer lab of the public school system, using educational websites and software, and a third questionnaire was used to compare the data with the second. The data was analyzed based on aspects of content analysis (BARDIN, 2011). This study shows that with the advent of technology and the creation of different digital tools and resources.
Factors Contributing to the Transmission of Cholera in the Municipality of Tete
This study aims to look at the environmental factors that contribute to the transmission of cholera in the municipality of Tete, between 2016 and 2020. The municipality has not recorded any cases of cholera in the timeframe of the research. However, there is an imminent outbreak of this disease, especially in suburban neighbourhoods, due to the poor solid waste collection capacity in these neighbourhoods, which is characterized by the Municipal Sanitation Company not being able to penetrate the places due to the disorganization of housing. The existence of open-air rubbish dumps, the existence of ponds and swamps with waste water, the reuse of this water by some sectors of society, among others, are all factors that make the suburban neighborhoods of the city of Tete potential breeding grounds for cholera. In view of this scenario, the study recommends that the municipality should begin consistent and permanent work to remove the open-air rubbish dumps in the suburbs, in order to improve the quality of the environment and the lives of its inhabitants, thereby preventing these places from becoming hotbeds for the emergence and spread of cholera.

Harold Arlen and His Songs is the first comprehensive book about the music of one of the great song composers of the twentieth century. Arlen wrote many standards of the American Songbook-including "Get Happy," "Over the Rainbow, "Stormy Weather," "Come Rain or Come Shine," and "The Man That Got Away" - that today rank among the best known and loved. The effects of PIBID on the training of future music teachers
This research is the result of a course completion work (TCC) and its object of study is PIBID - UEPA, within the scope of the Music subproject in Bel矇m do Par獺 from 2012 to 2014. The general objective was to investigate the effects of PIBID - UEPA/Music 2012 - 2014 on the training of future music teachers, while the specific objectives were: to describe the experiences of PIBID - UEPA/Music scholarship holders and to analyze the effects of these experiences on the training of these scholarship holders in terms of preparation for professional practice. The importance of this research emerged from the need to understand how this program can interfere in teacher training. This research was carried out by means of an exploratory study, in which questionnaires were administered to PIBID scholarship holders - UEPA/ 2012 - 2014. The results of the research showed that this program has contributed to increasing the training of future music teachers through teaching experiences in public basic education schools and study meetings, planning, preparing teaching materials and writing scientific articles.
The reversal of the burden of proof in sentencing in the light of the Specialised Courts
The main purpose of this research is to study the most appropriate procedural moment for the application of the reversal of the burden of proof, set out in art. More specifically, it seeks to ascertain when the inversion of the burden of proof would be correctly applied, so that it does not become an instrument that violates the principle of broad defence and may not meet its objective, which is to promote isonomy, i.e. the equality of the poles in the consumerist legal relationship, given that depending on the procedural moment applied, it may generate an unlevelling of the poles of the procedural relationship. In addition, the research technique used for this study is direct and indirect documentation, which demonstrates the practical applicability of the institute studied here, based on the analysis of decisions in the 2nd Mixed Special Court in the city of Sousa-PB, as well as the application of a questionnaire answered by the magistrate who acts in it, addressing the application of this institute in her decisions, verifying that the institute is often applied in the sentence and that the magistrate herself recognised that the timing of the sentence is not ideal.

Use of PPE by nursing professionals
Nursing staff are exposed to physical environmental, chemical and biological agents, diseases and accidents at work (ATs) when carrying out procedures in the hospital environment. These risks can be minimised by adopting biosafety measures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Therefore, the aim of this study was to verify the use of PPE by nursing professionals working in the Medical Clinic ward of a medium-sized public hospital located in the city of Picos-PI. The research is exploratory-descriptive in nature, with a quantitative approach and a cross-sectional approach. Data collection took place in March and April 2012 and was made possible by a previously structured questionnaire, divided into two parts: one involving the participants' socio-demographic data and the other made up of specific questions about PPE. The questionnaire was administered to the nurses and nursing technicians who work in the aforementioned ward.
The Future of Cargo Management
This book focuses on customer perception of cargo handling procedures at the Lagos Port Complex in Nigeria, with a particular emphasis on the Apapa Container Terminal and the Tin Can Island Container Terminal. The aim is to understand customer satisfaction levels and identify factors influencing terminal efficiency. The research adopts a mixed-methods approach, utilizing surveys and interviews to collect data from 100 respondents, evenly distributed between the two terminals. The questionnaire includes Likert scale items to measure customer satisfaction, while interviews provide in-depth insights into participants' experiences. Data analysis involves descriptive and inferential statistics to assess the relationship between customer satisfaction and various demographic/ behavioral variables. The findings reveal a significant association between customer satisfaction and the perception of terminal operators, with APM Terminals receiving higher commendation in environmental sustainability. Customers expressed greater satisfaction with APM Terminals across various aspects of cargo handling, indicating its superior performance compared to Tin can Island Container Terminal.
Total Quality Management
Total Quality Management is considered a differentiator for organizations, since it seeks to reduce errors and waste, adding value to companies. The aim of this study was to assess the quality tools adopted by a company in the telecommunications sector in the city of Montes Claros (MG) and to analyze the process of managing corporate contracts, comparing some relevant indices and taking into account the processes before and after the implementation of Total Quality Management. The scientific research methods used to carry out this work included a case study, data collection and documentary research, carried out within the organization, using the technique of participant observation. The organization, which previously had a high number of contract rejections, now has a considerable reduction in this number after the implementation of the quality tools, so it is worth noting that the insertion of the Total Quality tools in the organization has brought visible and measurable benefits to the company in question.
Reflection
This project was based on the portfolio developed during the specialization, in which learning was based on daily experience and the construction of new knowledge was through the constructive spiral teaching model. In this way, patient safety centers aim to ensure patient safety within institutions throughout the entire health-disease process, from admission to discharge. Protocols and actions must be implemented in patient care, with a focus on care free of Adverse Events. The exchange of experience between the actors showed that the realities and difficulties are the same, whether financial, breaking paradigms or cultural change. Therefore, in order for there to be a change in attitude, all the players involved in the patient care process must: speak the same language and financial resources must be directed to this sector. However, humanization and continuing education are the crucial points for achieving success and continuity in Patient Safety within healthcare institutions.
Bioactive compounds and antioxidant potential in Pomegranate fruits
The pomegranate tree is a widely used species, especially due to its medicinal importance, and its fruit is appreciated all over the world. The commercialisation of pomegranates has increased and aroused the interest of fruit growers in Brazil. The expansion of the cultivated area is due to the demand for the product from the pharmaceutical industry and the vision of expanding the use of the fruit for marketing in its natural form or industrialised, such as concentrated juice. However, knowledge of the quality of the aril during fruit development is incipient in the region. Therefore, this book provides information on the biochemical, physicochemical and antioxidant potential transformations that take place at each stage of the development of the Molar Pomegranate fruit, which is of great importance for pinpointing ripeness rates and defining the point at which the fruit should be harvested. Studies in this area should be very useful for producers in characterising the quality of the fruit and contributing to advances in the production sector and access to the species' phytotherapeutic potential, as well as for researchers wishing to carry out further research in this area.
Incidence of cardiac dysfunction in chagasic patients
Chagas disease (CD) is one of the consequences of human infection by the flagellated protozoan Trypanosoma cruzi. The cardiac form is the most serious presentation of the disease, with the possibility of sudden death, arrhythmias, apical lesions, heart failure and thromboembolism. The main aim of this study was to identify the incidence of cardiac dysfunctions resulting from CD in patients treated at the outpatient clinic of a reference hospital for the treatment of infectious diseases in the Amazon in 2015. This year, there was a higher prevalence of cardiac dysfunctions. These pathologies are often associated with CD due to the tropism of the etiological agent by myocardial cells. The main contamination mechanism was oral contamination, possibly due to the consumption of a癟a穩.

Currently, contraception issues occupy an important place in the field of women's reproductive health. A particularly relevant topic is the choice of contraceptive methods for women after cesarean section, since this type of surgical factor has its own peculiarities and can influence the next choice of contraceptive methods. The importance of this problem is conditioned not only by the observation of prevention of unwanted pregnancy, but also by the necessity to ensure a safe interval between pregnancies for the recovery of the female organism and minimization of the risk for the health of the mother and the future child.This monograph is devoted to a comprehensive study of issues related to contraception in women who have undergone cesarean section. It analyzes anatomical and related aspects of postoperative recovery, and assesses the impact of various contraceptive methods on women's health in the postoperative period. The monograph is intended for doctors, obstetricians-gynecologists and other specialists in the field of women's reproductive health with an up-to-date method about contraception after cesarean section, which helps in the choice of contraceptive methods for each woman.
Does the chemistry textbook meet the CBC?
The textbook has long been the subject of debate and investigation, from which many criticisms originate. Criticism for inducing or reinforcing prejudices and racial and social stereotypes; criticism for proposing activities that encourage more information gathering and memorization, to the detriment of developing skills such as reflection, analysis and synthesis, curiosity, creativity; among others. Despite all this criticism, we cannot ignore the role that this tool plays for the majority of teachers and students in our country. So we think it's important, especially for teachers in the Minas Gerais state public school system, to check whether the five chemistry collections approved by PNLEM 2012 meet the guidelines set out by the CBC (Common Basic Contents), both in terms of content distribution and the methodology used to deal with it.
Coexistence as a Deinstitutionalizing Tool
This book is the result of a final year Psychology course presented in 2012. Based on reflections, concerns and experiences in the context of mental health, the main purpose of this work is to build knowledge about coexistence and its importance as a potential instrument for deinstitutionalization and care. To develop the theme, the book discusses madness, psychiatric reform, the anti-asylum struggle and deinstitutionalization. In addition, the author carried out an action research project in the context of a workshop at a Center for Coexistence and Culture in Mental Health, the NGO Inverso, with the aim of portraying how coexistence is constructed in the daily life of the center and its importance in caring for people in severe psychic suffering.
The use of virtual games in maths teaching
This paper reflects on the importance of virtual games for teaching maths in the 3rd year of secondary school at the David Aires Fran癟a Agricultural State School. In this sense, the work was constructed with the aim of showing three virtual games taken from the S籀 Matem獺tica Portal and the Virtual Interactive Education Network (RIVED) as facilitating tools in the process of teaching and learning maths. These games were chosen according to the content taught by the class teacher and applied to the students. Soon after they were applied, the students answered a questionnaire to collect data. The teacher also completed another questionnaire. The results of the research show that the teaching of mathematics can be streamlined using virtual games, helping to open up new paths for the construction of knowledge and teaching.
