Methods for Obtaining the Dynamic Modulus of Elasticity of Concrete
There is currently a great deal of concern about increasing the characteristic strength of concrete used in both small and large construction projects. Increasing this strength leads to the false idea that the constituent elements of the structure can have smaller and smaller sections. However, the analysis of the behavior of a structure and its elements is not just about the strength of the concrete and/or steel, but also about its Modulus of Elasticity, specific to each type of concrete, which determines its deformation capacity (MEHTA and MONTEIRO, 2008). Concrete does not have a linear behavior throughout its Stress x Strain curve. Knowing this characteristic of each concrete is of fundamental importance for analyzing the deformations and cracking of the concrete, whether it will withstand the loads that will act on it (Ultimate Limit State - ULS) and whether these loads will not cause excessive deformations (Service Limit State - SLS).
Prevention of chronic malnutrition
The problem of chronic malnutrition continues to be a huge challenge for health authorities, given that around 43% of children under the age of 5 suffer from this disease (PAMRDC, 2010). Aware of the negative impact that this problem has on children's health, and the importance that parents have in combating it, this research aims to assess the knowledge and practices that pregnant and breastfeeding women aged 18 to 35 have in relation to the prevention of chronic malnutrition at the Xipamanine Health Center. This was a cross-sectional descriptive study with a qualitative approach, involving 17 pregnant and breastfeeding women. The results show that the majority of the women were 26-35 years old, with secondary education, unemployed, with an average family income, and the breastfeeding women had children aged 0-11 months. It can be concluded that the women have a good level of nutritional knowledge and adopt good practices, although they do not believe that the illnesses of the pregnant woman influence the fact that the children suffer from chronic malnutrition.

The second volume of the catalog consists of two parts preceded by an extensive Introduction. The first part covers mainly the repertoire used by male and female cantors and organists from the 18th-century convent centres. These are primarily masses, songs and organ pieces of local origin, showing the lesser-known face of the then church musical culture. A separate place in this context is occupied by a collection of enigmatic polychoral works for female voices from the first quarter of the 17th century. The second part catalogs the collection of the vocal-instrumental ensemble of the then Marian sanctuary in Rakow, consisting of the repertoire collected in the 1740s. It is extremely valuable due to the unique manuscripts of outstanding Polish composers of the Baroque period, including G. G. Gorczycki and D. Stachowicz, as well as an interesting international repertoire, mainly from German-speaking countries (K. J. Einwald, J. A. Hasse, M. Koenigsperger, J. V. Rathgeber). The catalog includes over 1,000 records and was created in cooperation with musicologists from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Pozna? with the Editorial Office of the International Inventory of Musical Sources (RISM) in Frankfurt am Main.

Modeling the Diametric Distribution of Mixed Ombrophilous Forest
The aim of this study was to adjust and select different probabilistic density functions to describe the diametric distribution of all species and the seven species with the highest importance value in a fragment of Mixed Ombrophilous Forest in Lebon R矇gis - SC. The data used to adjust the functions was obtained by simple random sampling, in which the 20 plots were made using the fixed area method, with dimensions of 10 x 50 m (500 m2), and the trees with a diameter at breast height ( ) greater than or equal to 5 cm were measured. The probabilistic density functions Normal, Ln-normal, Gamma, Beta, Exponential, Weibull 3P, Johnson's Sb, Weber and P矇llico Netto were adjusted using the "Solver" tool in MS Excel 2007, which uses the generalized reduced gradient (GRG) linear algorithm for parameter interaction. The selection criteria used were the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and the fit and accuracy statistics.

Social reproduction strategies in family farming
The aim of this paper is to understand the insertion of family farming into capitalist society, focusing on the social reproduction strategies and socio-cultural characteristics of family farmers in the Tambioc籀 community, in the municipality of Catal瓊o (GO). In order to carry out this work, in addition to a literature review, research was carried out on documents and field research. It was found that by adopting productive strategies and religious practices, family farmers in the Tambioc籀 community manage to overcome difficulties and remain on their properties, demonstrating their sense of belonging to the place where they live.

Disposal of lubricating oils
Lubricating oils are of great importance and are present in various human activities. They began to be used as soon as there was a need to reduce friction between two parties. To reach the current state of this product, several developments have taken place, and one of the most important and challenging points today is control over the disposal of used lubricating oil, OLUC. Most of the companies surveyed dispose of between 51 and 100 litres of oil per month and sell between 21 and 50 litres per month. Of the companies surveyed, 84 per cent said they inspected their establishments, but there was no set frequency. With regard to storage, 52% use metal containers to deposit OLUC and 40% use plastic containers. The results also show that 93% of the companies dispose of the waste properly, by having it removed by the collection company, while 7% of those surveyed admit to selling it to third parties.

Between Composers
In the fall of 1959 Norma Beecroft, a twenty-five-year-old composition student, left her home in Toronto and travelled to Rome to study with the eminent Italian composer Goffredo Petrassi. She left behind her lover and mentor, the thirty-four-year-old Harry Somers, by then recognized as one of Canada's leading young composers. For the next six months they wrote each other almost every day. Their intense and intimate correspondence documents lives lived apart but shared on the page, until the relationship came to an abrupt end. Selected from the full extant correspondence, the letters show both composers at pivotal moments in their careers, processing music and culture in their respective environments in ways that would remain influential for themselves and to each other. Beyond illuminating a tempestuous love affair, their wide-ranging letters capture the development of Canadian arts and culture of the period. They record observations about significant figures in their circles; the performances, theatre, and art Somers experienced in Toronto; and Beecroft's attempts to forge a viable compositional approach through contact with important artists and composers abroad. Somers eventually realized that what he wanted most was for Beecroft to give up her studies and return to Toronto to marry him. She turned him down and remained in Italy to study and write music, cementing her commitment to the vocation that would shape the rest of her creative life. She would break ground as a woman in her field, a producer for the CBC, and a composer and early champion of electroacoustic music. Epidemiological Study of Gynecological Cytology in the Algarve Population
Cervical cancer (CC) is the fourth leading cause of cancer death in women globally and accounts for around 311,000 deaths annually. Persistent infection with the high-risk Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) is the most common cause of CC. The prevention of CC is based on gynecological screening (Pap test), which makes it possible to classify the degree of existing lesion, as well as to identify other alterations such as the presence of fungi, bacteria, protozoa, which may contribute to the development of these lesions and subsequent neoplasia. There is therefore a need to analyze the results of gynecological screening exams in the Algarve's female population, in order to identify possible cases of CC in its early stages.Objective: To analyze the prevalence of cancerous and precancerous lesions in the Algarve's population, by studying the results of gynecological cytologies carried out at the Anatomical Pathology Service of the Hospital Particular do Algarve.Methodology: Data was collected on the results of gynecological cytological analyses of female users aged between 25 and 65 years, carried out at the Hospital Particular do Algarve.

Sensing that his audience was generally passing by rather than gathering around, Gray kept playing that one song for his entire shift. He'd even altered the lyrics to refer to the local streets. This study is based on the consolidation of a popular system of expression, which in general presents the views of those who produce and observe it, thus allowing the maintenance of a cycle that guarantees access to local history.
The circulation of gifts in virtual social networks
In his 'Essay on the Gift', Marcelo Mauss suggests that industrialised societies could benefit from recognising a model of social practice based on gifts and donations, like the gift exchanges of archaic societies: a social practice that is less utilitarian and more focused on the bonds between human beings, the construction of a 'group morality', 'gift-exchange morality'. The author believes that the obligation to exchange is the basis for a system that tends to stabilise itself, and points out that in the societies studied, individuals were 'less serious and sad'. The interface with which Facebook presents itself to social network users is based on the logic of the gift system, reinforced by the manifesto 'it's free and always will be'. This is the sphere we explore in this paper. However, it is important to note that this system can only be sustained by the coexistence and engendering of other logics, such as capital, profit and surveillance, a theme explored in other studies written later.
Popular Music in a Digital Music Economy
In the late 1990s, the MP3 became the de facto standard for digital audio files and the networked computer began to claim a significant place in the lives of more and more listeners. The dovetailing of these two circumstances is the basis of a new mode of musical production and distribution where new practices emerge. This book is not a definitive statement about what the new music industry is. Rather, it is devoted to what this new industry is becoming by examining these practices as experiments, dedicated to negotiating what is replacing an "object based" industry oriented around the production and exchange of physical recordings. Agricultural systems and water quality in river basins
This work sought to identify factors that condition the agricultural management carried out by rural producers in two small watersheds in the municipality of Paragominas (PA) and the impacts of these practices on water conservation and quality. To this end, the study related water quality in various stretches of watercourse to land use; it also compared, based on secondary data, water flows between the vegetation and the atmosphere for the different land uses. The main conditioning factors identified were: land use and property management; non-compliance with environmental legislation relating to the conservation of water and forest resources; economic interests to the detriment of sustainability and the absence of an integrated view of the landscape for the adoption of conservation practices. It was found that the drop in water quality in these basins occurs in different ways.

Nursing care for patients in cardiac arrest
The content of the book deals with nursing care for patients in cardiopulmonary arrest: the knowledge and practice of nurses who provide assistance to patients in cardiopulmonary arrest (CPR) in a hospital environment. This is a descriptive, exploratory study with a qualitative approach, in which 40 nurses took part, using semi-structured interviews as a technique and thematic content analysis to explore the data. It was found that the majority of nurses lack knowledge and updating on the subject, and have difficulty in carrying out Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with quality. There is a need for updates on CPR guidelines, as these are essential for providing efficient care, suggesting continuous theoretical and practical training, giving teams the opportunity to express their difficulties and improve their knowledge. This opens up space for discussion, training and the development of new studies.
The history of maths as a teaching methodology in Ba穩a Formosa/RN
The general aim of this study was to analyse how the History of Mathematics is being used in the classroom as a methodological resource in the teaching and learning of mathematics by teachers in the municipality of Ba穩a Formosa - RN. To this end, we chose as a basis some theorists such as Miguel and Miorim (2011), D'Ambr籀sio (1999), Mendes (1997), Miguel (1997), among others. The research was designed as a case study, of a qualitative and exploratory nature. In order to achieve the proposed objective, we drew up a questionnaire for data collection, which was applied to four maths teachers from primary and secondary schools in the municipality of Ba穩a Formosa/RN. The aim was to contribute to the teachers' practice by reflecting on and looking for methods that could help and enrich the students' teaching-learning process. The results of the research showed that the use of the History of Mathematics is restricted to what is presented in textbooks, the main reason being the lack of knowledge about the History of Mathematics, caused by the lack of a History of Mathematics subject in academic courses and continuing training.
