In this book, Marquinho Aniceto presents aspects related to learning the instrument, the current music market, the absence of music in Brazilian schools, private instrument lessons, self-learning, personal repertoire, instrument pedagogy, teacher didactics, looking more specifically at professional and amateur musicians. The book aims to reflect on the processes that characterise musical learning, taking into account the educational and cultural dimensions that underpin the training of students and also reflecting on aspects related to music education in its insertion into different classroom contexts at the present time. 'As a musician and music educator, I believe that the personal fulfilment of playing an instrument and expressing oneself through it goes beyond any methodology. Precast concrete system with emphasis on PI slab capping
There is a great quest to optimise construction processes around the world, where more needs to be built in a shorter space of time. For this to happen, it is necessary to invest more in technology and look for new solutions that move away from conventional construction - which today is based on slow, artisanal methods - by looking for industrialised construction systems that can be carried out in a shorter period of time, but which guarantee the quality and safety of the building. The prefabricated concrete construction system, because it is industrialised, has great potential and meets most of the requirements that the market demands, both in terms of quality and speed of execution. With this as a basis, this work aims to present the prefabricated concrete construction system and point out guidelines for the proper covering of the 'PI slab', developing a booklet with guidelines to be used in a precast factory.

Songs by Waldemar Henrique
The aim of this work is to provide information that can help in the construction of the interpretative process of 10 songs by the Brazilian composer Waldemar Henrique, composed between 1930 and 1937. In the 1930s, the composer from Par獺 stood out as one of those who adhered to the nationalist ideology of the Vargas era, moving to a canonical center of enunciation in search of visibility and national acceptance, Rio de Janeiro. Its theme, which aims to evoke the regionalism of its origin, was in line with the moment when multiple voices were raised from the global periphery to form a nationalist strategy. Within this context, historical information was gathered that could support the composer's aesthetic choices, as well as the technical and interpretative aspects used by radio singers. In order to understand the various facets of the object under study, the approach chosen was an ontological one.
Schubert's Piano
The piano features prominently in Schubert's musical output throughout his career, not only as an instrument for solo piano pieces (for two and four hands), but also in Lieder and chamber music as an equal partner to the voice or other instruments. His preference for the instrument is reflected in contemporary reports by his friends and colleagues as well as in iconography, where he is frequently depicted at the piano. In early nineteenth-century Vienna the piano underwent a rapid period of development, allowing composers to experiment with expanded ranges, sonorities and effects that differ substantially from modern concert grands. Schubert's Piano considers the composer's engagement with this instrument in terms of social history, performance and performance practices, aesthetics, sonority and musical imagery, and his approaches to composition across several musical genres, stimulating new insights into the creative interplay among Schubert's piano compositions.

This book aims to analyse and investigate the influence of characters from children's suspense, adventure and romance books on the development of the socio-emotional skills of children in a 4th grade class in a private school in a municipality in the Vale dos Sinos. This study will highlight the contribution of children's literature to giving meaning to children's lives, as well as exposing the contributions of some characters to the cognitive and psychological development of students. Socio-emotional skills serve as a guiding thread throughout the work, in the sense of individual and collective management of emotions and the perception of how they influence the identification of child readers with the characters in children's stories. All of this is based on a dialogue with theorists in the field of children's literature and those who study the development of socio-emotional skills in educational spaces.

Survey on the sexuality of the elderly in the city of Picos - Pi
Due to technological advances in health and knowledge about the most frequent problems afflicting the population and ways to prevent them, the world's population is aging. Increased longevity and lower mortality rates in recent decades have changed Brazil's demographic profile. Ageing involves a series of physiological and biological changes in both men and women, which are also visible in sexuality, but these changes do not mean that senility is associated with disease. Talking about sex in old age is an arduous task because it is a subject that is not often addressed and, in many cases, becomes abusive on the part of society and health professionals. The aim of this study was to analyze the sexual profile of elderly people assisted at a Family Health Unit in the municipality of Picos-PI. The results found in the conclusion (among others) show that there is a gradual decrease in the frequency of sexual practices, with a decrease in sexual interest and an increase in sexual dysfunctions with age, however, this does not prevent the maintenance of sexual relations.

The social history of the world is constantly being challenged by the multidimensional phenomenon of poverty in all countries. In this way, the search for effective solutions, by reducing the absolute numbers of vulnerable families, is constantly based on direct income transfer programs. Consequently, the aim of this concluding paper is to demonstrate how the Brazilian federal government, by reformulating the concept of welfare, has been able to achieve a reduction in the population's social restrictions. Based on these premises, it uses theoretical and historical foundations to point out a retrospective of poverty in Brazil, the chronological process of income transfer programs in the world, Latin America and Brazil and a conceptualization pertinent to the Bolsa Fam穩lia Program. At the end of the research, the conclusion is that the program has reformulated an ideal way out for families in abnormal survival conditions, but it still makes clear the need for persistent investment in job creation, greater income distribution and incentives to increase national production.

Drawing on extensive archival material and exploring a host of colourful people, it paints an absorbing picture of scholarly achievement in Britain across 150 years. Founded in London in 1874 as a learned society for musical research, the Association emulated the venerable Royal Society in welcoming diverse backgrounds, but went further by including women. Charting its scientific roots and the long resistance of British universities to music study, the narrative shows how the Association published a strong body of research independently, blossoming from 170 members in the 1870s to more than 1400 today. Early joiners included the scientists William Pole and John Tyndall (a founder of climate science), the art historian Elizabeth Eastlake, and musicians from John Stainer to Agnes Zimmermann. Their goal was to 'investigate' and 'discuss' music rather than perform it or give concerts. Because no member was yet trained in what would later be called musicology, the papers covered an eclectic range of scientific, ethnographic and historical questions, broad in scope and responsive to heard music. Whether measuring acoustic phenomena, studying popular music or deciphering manuscripts of early polyphony, the Association promoted wide engagement as well as the establishment of academic musicology. From roof to roof
Parkour is a physical activity of French origin in which its practitioners travel along a route overcoming the obstacles they encounter along the way, quickly and fluidly, using only their bodies. Given the physical demands of the sport, this activity has great potential to be used in Physical Education as curricular content in schools and also as a method for physical fitness. Although it is not directly linked to Physical Education as a higher education course, the mutual contributions that can be obtained from this link are very promising. But is there room for practicing this sport in the academic environment? The aim of this study was to introduce Parkour into higher education in Physical Education and assess its acceptance by both academics and the community.
Diagnostic experiences of adolescents with hemato-oncological disease
Research presented to the Nursing School of Coimbra to obtain a Master's degree in Child Health Nursing and Pediatrics, under the supervision of Dr. Manuel Gameiro (Coordinating Professor of the Nursing School of Coimbra). My personal thanks go to the Adolescents and their Parents for their willingness to collaborate with me and make it possible to carry out this research by sharing their experiences of cancer. My heartfelt gratitude goes to Dr. Professor Manuel Gameiro for sharing his knowledge, encouragement, guidance and availability throughout the research process. Sleep disorders
Sleep deprivation is a common situation among students and can cause health and learning problems. Graduation is a period in which the individual prepares to become a professional and enter the job market. They have to attend classes, develop projects, complete hours of complementary activities, do internships, among other activities. As a result, the population in higher education, most of whom are young, may experience greater sleep deprivation with a tendency towards excessive sleepiness during the day, resulting in memory problems, reduced school performance, behavioral problems, irritability, tension and anxiety. This makes university students a group that needs attention in relation to their sleep complaints so that prevention and early diagnosis of disorders can take place.

The relationship between psychological needs and motivational strategies
This book takes as its starting point the concern of Physical Education teachers to contribute to improving the health of their students. This book invites the reader to learn about some of the challenges these professionals face in carrying out their duties in order to achieve this goal. The author presents the theory of self-determination and explains its contribution to developing motivational skills for working with students. The author also makes a well-founded suggestion for continuing education for PE teachers. This book is aimed not only at PE professionals, but also at other educational agents. This work is about investigating whether and what the contributions of physical activity are for people with Down's Syndrome. The idea behind this production is to provide more in-depth scientific knowledge about people with Down's Syndrome who practise physical activities and to disseminate it to Physical Education professionals who are interested in exploring the area of inclusion further. In doing so, we aim to gather data on the influence that bodily practices will have on giving greater visibility to people with disabilities, more precisely, people with Down's Syndrome.
Sustainable Development Goals 1 and 7 and India
This research seeks to understand India's preferences within the framework of the International Climate Change Regime (ICRC), in view of Sustainable Development Goals one and seven, which deal respectively with the eradication of extreme poverty and access to clean and affordable energy. The aim was to understand how energy relates to poverty and to highlight a dilemma between the political agendas faced by the country: on the one hand, the social agenda of eradicating extreme poverty, and on the other, the contributions, in this case voluntary, to the RIMC. The method used was documentary analysis, based on official reports that presented qualitative and quantitative data on the object of study. Given the size of the country's population and the fact that its energy matrix is carbon-intensive, India prioritises the poverty eradication agenda because it considers it to be more urgent, or because making use of the most available source, coal, is, in the short term, the path that most increases its gains and reduces its costs.
Perception of quality of life
This research is a monograph presented to the nursing department of the State University of Mato Grosso, C獺ceres campus. The aim of the study was to assess whether there is any relationship between the level of physical activity (PAL) and the Quality of Life (QOL) of hypertensive elderly people. The results obtained suggest that the level of physical activity is related to a better quality of life for elderly hypertensive patients. The data points to the need for health professionals to promote, encourage and advise physical activity for elderly hypertensive patients, especially women, so that they understand the importance of practising physical activity for their health, improving their quality of life.
Drugs in the school environment
Drugs have been used since the earliest civilisations. They were initially used mainly in religious rituals. Since the 20th century, with the emergence of new drugs, especially synthetic ones, these substances have become a problem for society as a whole. Although this social problem affects the entire population, the school environment is a place where the effects can be even more damaging, as they affect a very important part of the population, adolescents. With this in mind, the aim of this study is to find out about the knowledge of seventh-form students at Divina Provid礙ncia school about drugs, what means they use to acquire information about these substances, and whether these students have ever used any psychoactive substances.
Blues Mamas and Broadway Belters
In Blues Mamas and Broadway Belters, songwriter, scholar, and dramatist Masi Asare explores the singing practice of black women singers in US musical theatre between 1900 and 1970. Asare shows how a vanguard of black women singers including Gertrude "Ma" Rainey, Bessie Smith, Ethel Waters, Pearl Bailey, Juanita Hall, Lena Horne, Eartha Kitt, Diahann Carroll, and Leslie Uggams created a lineage of highly trained and effective voice teachers whose sound and vocal techniques continue to be heard today. Challenging pervasive narratives that these and other black women possessed "untrained" voices, Asare theorizes singing as a form of sonic citational practice--how the sound of the teacher's voice lives on in the student's singing. From vaudeville-blues shouters, black torch singers, and character actresses to nightclub vocalists and Broadway glamour girls, Asare locates black women of the musical stage in the context of historical voice pedagogy. She invites readers not only to study these singers, but to study with them--taking seriously what they and their contemporaries have taught about the voice. Ultimately, Asare speaks to the need to feel and hear the racial history in contemporary musical theatre.
Reverse logistics for medicines
The improper disposal of waste medicines is a worrying factor for society. Considering the relevance of this worldwide problem, this study is a field research aimed at the commercial pharmaceutical sector in the city of Pombal, Para穩ba, Brazil, with the main objective of investigating the practice of reverse logistics in this sector. To this end, questionnaires were administered to those directly involved in the problem of disposing of this type of waste. The essay "Zur franz繹sischen Klang瓣sthetik der Traversfl繹te im 18. Jahrhundert" by Magdolna Slenker examines the sound aesthetic ideals and playing techniques of the transverse flute in France on the basis of historical flute schools by Jacques-Martin Hotteterre, Michel Corrette, Antoine Mahaut, Charles De Lusse and Fran癟ois Devienne.
